Doll$Boxx was formed in 2012 when the core four of Gacharic Spin (bassist Koga, drummer/guitarist/vocalist Hana, guitarist Tomo-zo and keyboardist/vocalist Reona) joined with the vocalist Fuki who was with both Light Bringer and Unlucky Morpheus. The band was only together for about a year but released a great album called Dolls Apartment along with music videos for just about every song on the album. They got back together for a few live shows in 2017 and this video is from one of those shows. I do not think it likely that they will get together again. The popularity of both Unlucky Morpheus and Gacharic Spin are at a high, especially Gacharic Spin with their new vocalist Angie who is as charismatic as any vocalist I have ever seen and she is only 21.
There's also the high $pec EP released in 2018 - each track on it also has its own MV. Both Gacharic Spin and Unlucky Morpheus are busy and doing well, so another DOLL$BOXX release does seem unlikely at present.
One of my favorite bands! I was really hoping they would get back together for their 10th anniversary and release a new EP, or even a single. But alas, nothing. This whole concert is fantastic. Please react to more songs from it. There are bits and pieces of it all over youtube.
You may have seen the MV. They all come out all bouncy and cute then cut loose. Gacharic Spin's bassist is F. Chopper Koga. Great bassist. A temporary project because GC had lost their lead vocalist.
I've been repeating this quote, but it's true. No matter who you are, there's a cute Japanese lady doing it better, and I'm here for it. They're making rock interesting again, and i can't imagine being mad that she's a better drummer than me.
This group is a side project, Between Fuki (Unlucky Morpheus) and Gacharic Spin. Gacharic Spin are normally more of a funk rock band, but have done some heavier songs of late and maybe the most talented female musicians around. And Fuki is just Fuki 😁 There is a story of how they got together. Some years back Gacharic Spin were having problems with their singer not turning up to anything. So they went on tour hoping that she would show up. After 3 no shows, the band got fed up, and got rid of her. So without a singer for the tour, they went on Japanese TV and said if anyone knows the lyrics to their songs contact them, show up and they can sing with them for that night. The next day they were contacted by Fuki, who was a fan of theirs and knew the lyrics to all the songs. Gacharic Spin, knew of Fuki so jumped at the chance, and Fuki finished the Japanese tour with them, they did go overseas as well, but not with Fuki. They all enjoyed working with each other so much, they all said they wanted to work together again, so started Doll$boxx as a side project. Gacharic Spin have gone though a few changes, Hana used to be the drummer/singer, but she learnt to play guitar, and wanted to step away from the drums. She went back to the drums for a year as the new drummer, Yuri, took time off to have a baby, and she is now back. They, sometimes, both play drums at the same time. Also now they have Angie, the pink haired Duracell Bunny, as lead singer. MindSet (Live at EX THEATER ROPPONGI on June 20th, 2021) ua-cam.com/video/lQFBwxoEnmg/v-deo.html
As you may have heard from someone, this is a temporary super group, FUKI on vocals from unlucky morpheus, drums and bass keyboards from Gacharic Spin, and guiter tomozo
In fact Doll$Boxx is just a side project for its instrumentalists. Since 2009 they have their own band called Gacharic Spin: ua-cam.com/video/Jt7-GGRa3nc/v-deo.html And as you probably already know Fuki is the lead singer of Unlucky Morpheus: ua-cam.com/video/x7W9DcUKY_U/v-deo.html 😉
the Bassist , Michiko Koga aka F Chopper Koga is the "boss " fo gacharic Spin and Doll$box .. is the best female bassist , And DEFINATLY the cutest #teamfchoppa !
It’s funny but I’ve never heard anyone say Hana was self taught. I’m certain she could have been. She had song and dance experience but didn’t play any instruments til high school when all her friends were playing rock and roll. About that time her bff koga needed to learn to play the bass for a modeling pr stunt. I always thought that their bass abilities developed together. During an interview each of the girls were asked how they came to play their instruments and hana said all her friends were playing so she learned bass guitar and keyboards, which confused the interviewer a bit who asked why she was playing drums. Hana told her it was because koga asked her. Other people have said that hana was playing drums in high school but this answer tells me that hana learned drums koga asker to be a part of gacharic spin. I’m pretty sure that koga could aquire more skill on the drums in six months than I did in six years…as for the self taught part, Hana went to a performing arts high school. She may have taken a class or two and no doubt driven the teacher crazy…

Yes fuki🤘🏻🔥
All female Japanese bands is my favourite 🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘
Koga, the bassist is a gentle beast.
I've been a fan of Doll$Boxx for a long time. This is my fave tune.
Yes, Hana the drummer is self-taught--on multiple instruments. She is actually now mainly on guitar and occasionally keytar. And backup vocals.
Hi!
Don't mind that noise, it's just me slowly banging my head on the table... 😉🤣🤘

コガちゃんは一番好きなべーシスト!
They are epic. I kind of get Wagakki Band vibes in the way the composition evolves and some of the tone of the lead singer. Thanks for finding them.

Koga is great, no doubt. Fuki has a big following.
Yes, you have done this song, in the original MV.
Imagine being there live 😭

Yup, Gacharic Spin plus Fukki.. ya, nothing to change here. Love it.
Have you done Gacharic Spin yet. This is basically them with the singer from Unlucky Morpheus. I think you have watched them.
If you haven't already watched them, this is basically Gacharic Spin with a different vocalist.

Just here to say Hi! 😁
As you may have heard from someone, this is a temporary super group, FUKI on vocals from unlucky morpheus, drums and bass keyboards from Gacharic Spin, and guiter tomozo
Tomo-zo from Gacharic Spin on guitar, NOT Saki from Nemophila.
yes misunderstand guiter is tomozo
