Dhigedhina is a Banarasi bant invented by Anokhelal Misra and K. Bose learnt with Kisan Maharaj of Benaras.

While it's actually belong to Benaras Gharana.. That's why pandit Kumar Bose is more majestic than others because he belongs to Benaras Gharana.. Others are also too much better.. Pandit Shankar Ghosh was created an another effort to this composition "ধিগ ধিনা ত্রেকে ধেটে নাধিগ ধিগধি নাড়া কতাকতা ঘেনা ধাতি ঘেনা নাধিগ ধিগধি নাড়া"...

Dhige Dhina was created in Lucknow as far as I know and after Ram Sahai Ji Only it was moved to Benaras and mentioned as Baant.
Beautiful . Both Pandit Swapan Chowdhury & Pandit Anindya Chottopadhyay are outstanding.
But, Pandit Kumar Bose is beyond all boundaries. What a majestic presentation. What soulful sound! He is really gifted and the rarest of the rare 🙏🙏🙏

When pandit swapan chawdhury says that DHIG DINA is a laagi in lucknow gharana then I think that he is absolutely right and feel the playing of pandit kishan Ramdhokar ji.. His DHIG DINA laggi playing is best to me! I respect all of the pandit who is playing DHIG dhina!
I also learn this from him in small workshop his approach is really very great
No comparison each of them had their own style of playing the same composition with different flavour.

This is called the real feeling, not baised. Three Gharanas have different flavors, we have to realize that. Three are the real Gurus of respective Gharanas and one should admit that without being superfluous.

Lucknow one is the oldest composition as it was composed By the great Abid Hussain Khalifa of lucknow, but as it was played by nobody it got extinct.

And Kumar Ji wins, but where is Yashvant Ji🤔 Also clever to build in some breaks to relax the hand for a moment. There is no way to play this Benares bhant relaxed, so it's always a stamina challenge and even Anindo Ji lost it first. Glad that Anubrata Ji lost lots of kilos and gained more skills in the meantime👍

Same thing they have done with Pt. Gobinda Bose. There are plenty of videos where Pt. Bose is playing solo. But they only uploaded with son version.
