    Not only a great job reviewing this pack, but the only one out there so far. Great job. And you have a new subscriber. Be safe .

      Thanks, there are one or two overviews out there which list features but no proper reviews when I was making the choice. So just want to help other people make the decision.

    You neglected the hip belt. Is it removable?
    Otherwise great to finally see a proper review of the bag.
    I have the Fjallraven Abisko Friluft 35 in Forest Green as well as a Camelbak HAWG for short excursions.
    Lekker dag verder!

      Yes it is removable. This pack has so many features that it is no surprise that I forgot to mention that one.
      I did in the past look at the Abisko Friluft 45l version as an option for a multi-day bushcraft pack, but I think I may end up going for the larger Singi bag. That way the pockets will be compatible across and I also like the lack of mesh etc.on the Singi as I feel there is less to tear or break.

    Hi! Thanks for the review. How have the gear loops (for attaching the side pockets) held up? Any reliability concerns at all with the attachment of the side pockets? Thanks !

      Hi, thanks for stopping by. I'm still using the pack on a weekly basis for the best part of 2 years now and the loops are holding up flawlessly even with heavier weights attached (1L bottle and cookset plus mid sized axe). I still don't really like the fiddlyness of the attatchment, but it does get easier with time. So no concern about the quality of the loops, just wish they had gone with MOLLE webbing or something more universal.

      @@BrackenOutdoors that’s awesome to hear! Molle works great for sure, but I’m looking for a pack that’s not so tactical looking, and I think this one might be just right for me. Thanks for your help!

    What’s the orange pig you have in the pack? Fits neatly in the pack.

      It's a soft camera case for all of my recording equipment, found it on Amazon a while back and it has enough space for a camera, spare lens, batteries, microphones and a small action camera. It's purely coincedental that it fits so perfectly.

      not sure if anyone gives a damn but if you are stoned like me during the covid times you can watch pretty much all the new series on instaflixxer. Have been streaming with my brother for the last couple of months :)

    It needs straps on the bottom to secure a bedroll or sleeping bag

      I 100% agree. I've been thinking about sewing some straps on, but for now I have been using some paracord run down the daisy chains on the side to secure things to the bottom.

      @@BrackenOutdoors I just sewed the straps on the bottom. Works ok. I’ll try the 550 cord method thanks

    I think your maths is a bit off mate 😂 it’s a 28l pack and you said that with 2 2l side pouches it takes it well into 70l 😂

    • @BrackenOutdoors
      @BrackenOutdoors  Рік тому

      It's the accent, it does sometimes throw people off but if you turn on Closed Captions you'll find I did say that it "takes it into the 30l range".

    Will Nalgene bottles fit in those side pockets?

    • @BrackenOutdoors
      @BrackenOutdoors  2 роки тому +2

      Yes, easily with plenty of space to spare. I can just about squeeze a 12cm zebra billy can and pouch into one of the pockets.
