Three old guys getting out and having fun paying homage to history; truely inspiring. Thanks for including us in your travels Sandy, Charles and Chris.
Hi Sandy, another great video! I have been cycling for 40 years, watching you enjoying the trike has encouraged me to give it a go, luckily my neighbour has an ice trike similar to yours that he is going to let me try👍
Lovely to see you out on your latest acquisition the trike wonderful. Already you look comfortable with it and enjoying the ride. Lovely adventure around some of the Cotswolds with it's lovely villages and scenery, thanks Sandy and freinds for the guided tour 👏👋
Another very enjoyable watch. Three chums, lovely scenery, great informative chat and I get to ‘join’ you all on your trip out. I have some old family connections with Quenington and other villages/towns around Swindon, Wilts/Glos areas so it’s nice to revisit some of these places via your vlogs. Utterly delightful 😊👍
Embrace the change Sandy. I bought a Moulton a year ago. A totally different riding experience, a brilliant design. Keep up the good work with your videos, you’re always a pleasure to watch.
Good stuff that Sandy - I've had my eye out on one of these for ages - but financially prohibitive to me just at the moment, but I'll get there. I have other things to sort first - Phase 4 of my life plan after retirement: Buy and convert a bus to a motorhome - Add e-bike (check) and buy land to build long term homestead on - then again when I start travelling, I might not want to stop. Good video pal.
Yet again you introduce me to something I knew little about Sandy. Those trikes look like instruments of torture to me so very interesting to hear you say how comfortable they are. Great video 👍🏻
I rather have a trike than an electric car for shorter journeys. It should be fairly strightforward to attach a trailer for the camping gear on a long trip. Keep the videos coming Sandy they are great fun.
Hey Sandy, that's put the biggest smile on my face seeing you out riding the old trike alongside Charles. Marvellous. It looks like you've got your "recumbent legs" already. Charles is a great trike mentor for you and carries Toblerone too. Perfect. I look forward to seeing more of this three wheeled fun with you two. 73/JBJ By the way, ICE sell an offroad trike....the "Full Fat" 😎
Hi Rupert, Your old trike is the Best fun I've ever had on wheels, absolutely thrilled to bits with it:) I splashed out and fitted a new rear tyre Schwalbe Marathon 20x150 so should be good for a lot of miles to come, the old one was still fine just a bit worn so that can be my spare for now:) BIG JBJ from a Very happy Wiltshire Man:)
Hi Sandy it was great to ride out yesterday and as always you have made a great video to show chase our local scenery and history. We are fortunate to live close to areas of national beauty such as the Cotswolds, the downs, the River Thames, Avebury and the like, all with history dating back 1000’s years, right up to present day. Much of our country side villages and towns are Trike friendly and great to explore. Long may you show case Wiltshire and surrounding county’s with your Camping, cycling and Motor bike videos.👍
Hi Charles, It was great to ride out with you and Chris on this adventure, what a lovely afternoon we all had and a nice coffee to at Fairford, I shall go back there at some point. I have just fitted a brand new rear tyre a Schwalbe Marathon with puncture resistance as the old one was getting a bit worn and squared off, must go out and test ride the new tyre to make sure it works...Any excuse to ride:)
One adapts as one finds necessary. It honestly takes a strong man to do this, regardless of criticism. Keep doing what you are doing. I love the biking/triking and camping videos.
Thankyou so much for introducing me to the concept of Trikes Sandy. I’ve been doing a bit of research and illustration be selling my two-wheeler and save for a trike. Probably an ICE trike. Thankyou again. It’s going to be a life saver for me ✨🫶🏻✨ Worth every £1000 I’ll be paying for it eventually. ✨🫶🏻✨
Belated happy birthday Charles! What a lovely historic site Sandy...the one thing I do love and appreciate is history and historic buildings...they could tell some amazing stories if they could talk. Glad you all had a good and safe ride out
Those recumbents are so interesting Sandy. I can see why you have added that to your transportation options. It appears to be a very relaxing experience just peddling around in one of those and not having to worry so much about maintaining a a minimum speed to maintain your balance. The trikes look much more stable than the two wheelers and much less prone to a large pebble or stick causing your steering wheel to throw you off balance and to the ground. I am quite impressed with that whole idea. This was an absolutely amazing and entertaining video here. I really enjoyed it and would definitely like to see more of them. Take care and I will see you on the next one.
Hi Terry, The trike is my favourite out of all the bikes mainly because it's more comfortable and just great fun but it won't replace the other bicycles as these will go places the trike can't:)
Hi, it's a nice surprise to see a hero of mine getting addicted to recumbent trikes. Brings back memories. I now have a regular upright bicycle and a two-wheeled recumbent which I hardly ever use anymore, but once upon a time my introduction to recumbent cycling, here in the Netherlands, was an HP Velotechnik Scorpion FX. It's indeed very relaxing and much fun downhill.
Hi Sandy - lovely to see you out and about in the Cotswolds! Glad you're enjoying the trike! I miss the Cotswolds, especially in summer even though t's beautiful where Iive too. All the best, Rob in Switzerland
I have to say that trike is not for me. Love the video as usual full of history and information ! My best wishes to you all from the Philippines ❤️💪👍😉😀😁🐑🇵🇭🏴
Great video. I really enjoyed seeing you having fun on the trike. It looks more effortless than conventional cycling and yet you can still tell it’s giving you a workout.
It's more comfortable than a normal bike and certainly doesn't feel any harder to pedal infact it feels easier but overall it's just a little slower but a whole lot more fun
Greetings from Melbourne, Sandy, and thanks for the great videos. There's a new pilgrimage route in Wiltshire that you might be interested in cycling. It's called the Athelstan Pilgrim Way around Malmesbury, and there's a map on the British Pilgrimage Trust website. Lovely Knights Gate. The Fresh Air outdoor sculpture Trail was in the beautiful grounds of The Old Rectory. Lynwood ☕️🍰🤩 Excellent. Your Trike Looks Great Fun.
Looks like a lot of fun and could see it being quite practical for shopping and carrying stuff with a trailer. Me and the wife decided last week that as of august to sell my car and just run one car as we don’t really need two cars on the road, so might be able to convince her I need one of these
Great video again Sandy, I was out that way on Saturday, many roads were closed for resurfacing, or had just been done. Made fro some interesting riding and diversions!
Suprised how well the Trikes seem to go. It looks like great fun, a more relaxing ride with a different view of the landscape. Really enjoyed it, thanks Sandy.
Nice to see you back out on your trike sandy and.a nice bit of history tricycle looked good and you looked relaxed on it hope to see more of you maybe on your tricycle on the back if you put a back lamp on a bit of a pole that goes on and of maybe the traffic see you better stay safe and stay healthy one life enjoy blessed be
I bought my kids (twenty yesrs ago now) these things called green machines. They were trikes. Had plastic wheels and you could not ride them on road. I adjusted the seat and had a go, great fun. You could do handbrake turns in them. Felt really fast too. Happy days 😀
I am really enjoying your new form of transport, Sandy. Any chance of a video explaining how it works? I still cannot work out how you steer it. Looks great fun.

That looks like a very comfortable ride. I know some places that would be a perfect bit of transport. I do wish they would continue to improve the trail system here. They make some nice progress some years then appear to quit for a while. Timing to stay away from the high traffic times is pretty important here.
Hi Jim, This is the most comfortable pedal vehicle I have tried and I am getting lots of fun and enjoyable exercise from it. The trails aren't too bad here to be fair and I can get around most places especially in the town without having to use the roads
The more i see of trikes, the more I think I may get one at some point. I’d love to find out if there are off-road versions with thicker tyres, but would be happy navigating roads if off-road not possible. Thanks for taking us with you 👍🏼

Ralph, If the Recumbent trike would do what the other bikes do like go off road and ride the single tracks I would sell the others and just keep the trike. For fun and for comfort there simply is no comparison. Without a doubt the trike is the most fun, the most comfortable of all my bikes and probably the one I will ride the most, but for the rough off roads it won't beat the Bootzipper MTB and for speed it won't beat the gravel bike but in short the Trike is My favourite of the three!!
