. I ordered a custom built LMT 3080 1050kv motor. 30kw or up to 40hp. Should he an absolute animal. About $1k just for the motor. Has internal cooling fan and makes the 2028 castle motor look small lol

I'm in the process of building my TLR right now. I went with the 1717 1650KV with the MMX8s. Haven't ran it yet but it should be an absolute beast. Same ESC runs my 2028 800KV in the K8S EXB and it always stays cool even on 8S so that's why I went that route. When you decide on a motor setup let me know what gearing you decide on. I'm starting with a 20T pinion to see how it goes. I bash HARD so gotta keep temps down.
Hell ya man mmx8 is perfect for this thing. Shouldn't have to worry about heat at all. I ended up going with the 1515 2200kv. I'm going to gear it low prob 13 or 14T . It's going to be track only for me so I won't need alot of speed. Have you installed the mmx8s yet? I think it might hit the body . U am considering running it with no fan. It's overkill for this car so I think it will be ok .
as always you can surprise me I like this new project if I understand correctly you are waiting for a new engine from Germany who knows what engine it will be. We just have to wait.😘
