I told my sit and sew group I was going to "dave-a-tize" my quilt and they just blanked me lol. I have sent them to your channel 🎉
Now you can sign your work on the back of the quilts
Hi Dave I really enjoy watching you create. This brought me back to my teenage years many moons ago. One of my first jobs was in a screen printing company. The old wooden screens. They were printing ladies tops. It was an assembly line and one of the last steps while the tops were still on the board they would roll thru an oven to dry and those boards were hot hot hot 🥵 😊. Geez that was a little more than fifty years ago. I worked there with my then future sister in law. She’s gone now and I miss her so. But I’ll always have the fun memories of the things we experienced together ❤. Thanks Dave I look forward to seeing your future creations with screen printing 👍
Ha ha, I worked for a clothing company and they did screen printing on T-shirts and sweat shirts.
I never had a go, just watched a bit on my way through the factory. How technology has evolved!❤🎉
🎼🎤”Those were the days my friend…I thought they’d never end…❣️🤭
My father was an old school sign painter who did hand lettering, gold leaf and his own artwork.
Screen printing was used when he produced multiple real estate signs.
I often helped as a kid transfering signs to the drying racks. 😅Thanks for the memories. I love what you do.
Now you're ready to get a booth at a quilt show. Your customers can just take a pic of your quilt and be able to log into your channel anytime. LOL. But really....screen print a label for your quilts. Make one block on the quilts that tells the who, what, why and when story of that quilt.
Time to turn you loose! That screen print macine + your creative talent = unlimited possibilities! I can't wait to see what you do!
Loved the process !!!! You should absolutely include your words.........Davitize.........shook,disheveled,and destroyed ......to start !!!!!!
Yes, Plus chic and quiche, and stunning and lovely!
We really do need merch! I want a mug with the Dave’s Craft Room logo on one side and all of the “Dave words” on the other!
Omg I'd love a shirt that says "Desheveled, destroyed. Dave-itized."😂
I’m living for the pure joy and enthusiasm! Thanks for sharing your craft and humor through this experience. 😊
The QR code even worked through a screenshot! How cool is that?!? Too much fun!
That was so fun. Thanks for taking us along
Dave I love how you're so excited. I'm excited for you. Looking forward to future projects! POP POP!
Thank you for the trip down memory lane, Dave. In my design school screen printing days we had to cut out the design with a knife and then fix the film to the silk on the screen - I think with acetone. Oh the smell and the mess. Our print table was three yards long so we printed three yard lengths of overall pattern on cotton fabric - it was a dress length. I made dresses and sold them at markets. I still have two of those lengths, they are almost 50 years old now and still in my fabric stash.
OMG, too much fun! I love your quilt. Your QR code would also make excellent labels for all of your quilts. Can’t wait to see what you come up with next!
Your videos make me so happy 😁 I'm a nerd, but I love the idea of a quilt with images of Bilbo and Smaug from the 1977 animated Hobbit lol!
Ooh yes!!
Wow, that turned out awesome! The things one can do at home these days.
I like painting on fabric and I think the Hawaiian "applique" designs would look cool screenprinted into a quilt
Sooooo fun! You can screen print quilt labels!
Almost forgot I was away and didn't get to comment on Daves /Daves mom heirloom and vintage quilts... Pure eye candy!!! Loved every min
I just adore your mom she is so great!!
I did not know I needed one of these, until now! I’m an artist and I like to quilt! Win win! Thanks Dave!
Wow! That turned out amazing! I can’t wait to see what is next!!!!
Definitely a faster way to to screen print!
Yes the old screen-printers I would hand-cut the film with an sharp blade - your new set up is sweet
Ooh, that's neat!
I'd probably take a stack of solid quilting cottons and make my own "fabric line" with a bunch of overal designs pretty much edge to edge, like some geometric or animal prints...
Fabulous! Can you do a design with curvy lines that meet up when the block is turned so you get a nice pattern?
Wow! A totally new level of creativity! You rock Dave!
Oh man that was fun! CANNOT wait to see what’s next!❤
What fun! Your delight at the new tool working right out of the box was, well… delightful. It will be great to see what comes of this new ability and your imagination
This is spectacular!!! What an amazing idea to quilt with screen prints! I love your art so much. You should get some glow-in-the-dark ink ✨ also- another idea, screen print on top of completed blocks because that will be spectacular.
Use the coloured tshirt leftover with a variety of different ink colours. I'm thinking Hawaiian hibiscus flower 🌺 prints. Anything that works for you. Or cars, dogs, surf waves? Some bright tropical vibes were speaking to me as a complete contrast to the black and white of this video. Great fun to watch 🇦🇺💜🇺🇲💚🪡🧵👍
Loved it!!
This is a really fun video. Looks like you had a great time doing this project.
I remember silk screening tee-shirts at summer camp. The process was definitely a lot more difficult than what you are doing. Your machine is quite awesome. You did a quilt with the great Japanese wave (and I don't remember the guy's name - it was from a wood-block print) and that might make a cool design for your screen printing. Thanks as always for a lovely visit to Dave's Craft Room.
Great set up! You rocked it. It is so much fun to watch you create, and I get good ideas for future quilts. Thank you!!!
Wow I love your logo and QR code quilt! I can’t wait to see what else you come up with to screen print. I look forward to watching your videos every other Tuesday! If you ever decided to sell some Dave’s Craft Room merch, I would definitely buy some. ❤❤❤
Love your non-tutorial! It’s fun to watch you find something new to try.
I look at most of your videos and you are very inspiring. Keep Doing What You Are Doing! Don't ever think you're not talented!
I'm really impressed by your ability to create custom screens and make prints so effortlessly. I can't wait to see how you'll use these techniques in your work. Excited for what's next!
This is so awesome!! Have you ever seen Chris English's quilts? He has a style of deconstructing well-known quilt blocks and making them his own. He's also just got into making his own screen printed fabrics which you can see on Kate's Last Homely House channel on youtube. Might be a good source of inspiration for how to use your amazing new machine!!
Very cool, a fun new toy. No doubt we will see a lot more custom work from you. Unlimited possibilities!
Expensive tool.
That looks like lots of fun.
Turned out amazing. You are getting very technical !
Thank you Dave! I love your content and this one was awesome because now you can Daveitize anything ❤
Love your excitement ❤
Another great video! Always so entertaining AND educational watching you create!
I enjoy watching you have so much fun with the screen printer. You will find some great uses for it and more art.
So much fun seeing you enjoy yourself so much. What fun. Looks like an easy thing to do. Good luck.
Oh my gosh! I need one of these machines in my life! Please tell me you are going to do a giveaway for one of your Dave’s Craft Room Quilts. Sign me up!
Always amazed by your talent and enthusiasm.
Are you able to do layered designs? that would be great with Hawaiian themed ideas. Thanks for your curiosity and the energy you bring.
Be a great label maker for your creations😊
Learned a lot from your video .... thank you .... and love your QR design.
When making one of your quilts & giving it away make a bag with your logo your friends will it 😊
The things you get up to haha - always makes me smile 😁 I'm guessing that if you use more than one colour you have to create a new screen? Some crazy blocks are in your near future I bet - good work on this one 🤩
Wow nice your tool an fun and love that quilt so cool
Quilt size monopoly board????
Cool, train stations and parking lots 😊
Cannot wait to see what’s next! This could be a fun way to make a memory quilt for your travels. Could do some traditional quilt blocks in screen print. It would be interesting to see what you’d do with a bunch of colors. Gonna be fun!
Wow
Another fabulous project- totally Davitised. Love from Australia.
I can’t wait to see all the ways you put this new unit to work! Fantastic 🤩
Enjoy your enthusiasm 😊
That’s insanely cool!
As for an idea on what to use it for, the question is, is there a quilt you have wanted to make but cannot find the fabric for it, or maybe the fabric does not exist. If so, screen print it.
I adore your enthusiasm❤
Not just good it’s good enough!😂
You’re brilliant! 😊
Твої проекти, дуже круті.Ти надзвичайна людина.
I love this so much
Dave! How much fun was that!😮😊😮😊
So many possibilities for future quilts, I’m hanging in anticipation to see what you come up with.
What a wonderful gift, just goes to show that you have a very eclectic group following you.🤗🫢🙄🥴👍
Fiquei feliz por você, é muito legal!!!! 👏👏👏👏❤🎉
You should make some tee shirts for giveaways nu I would totally buy one from you. If you're so inclined.
😢 Still mourning the loss of the "Dave Pin Cushion" cup
Hi Dave love your content!!! Your so genuine with imo makes you so fun to watch, " she said install on the rightside??? What??" Story of my life ... Lol love how happy this made you as an old retired marketing manager ..I bet that Company loves you!!! You did a great job ...now I seriously think I need one of these!! Who doesn't want to print at least there own guilt labels ... :) thanks for sharing!!
How about doing your logo supersized and do in sections
Wonderful! I was wondering, could you just iron them dry using a paper to absorb extra ink. 🤷♀️ Aah, I notice that you did that.
Good one Dave. Do you label your quilts? Hope so. Screen print some generic ones with your QR code.
Gothic fantasy… dragons, vampires and castles please
Love ur channel, you need to sell me one of each so I can put it on a t-shirt, love ur art ❤😊
😀
Yr gonna need a bigger house 😂😂😂. I notice you didn’t put stabilizer on the back of the tshirts as you usually do?
Dave, I have a question. How long have you left the washout markers on a quilt top? I'm wondering about if it's dried on for a while, like at least a month. will it still wash out? Thanks
Yes, on my double wedding ring quilt, I left the markers in for about two months as I was traveling and they still washed out 😜
Zomprintery?
Another Dr Who quilt.
