I have a tip for you Mav. Whenever you burn things like bread use a knife (preferably a butter knife) and scrap off the burnt side of the bread, and don't scrap too hard, too fast or you might ruin the bread. Just measure how hard, and fast you scrap. Also make sure to do it over a trash can or something and lightly brush or shake the bread, because it get's pretty messy with all the burnt bit's of bread.

My hubby finally decided to stop smoking after almost 50 years! I'm so proud of him. I have been so worried about him and his smoking. My dad died at 53 and had smoked since he was 6. Yes 6. Had a massive heart attack in 89'. And I didn't want to lose my hubby too. So I'm really proud of him and you Mav!

I too cleaned up a few years ago and don't miss it a bit. The first year was tough socially but now it's not an issue. You definitely find out who truly cares about you.

Keep your hand in the hand of the master. We can do all things through Christ who strengthens us. You were asking for the most unusual camper setup. I have seen a 1955 Oldsmobile 88. The first thing that they did was convert it to four wheel drive. Then they converted the back of the vehicle into a popup camper like your Vdub Beatle. Easy peasy. Love your show. 2 cups shoestring potatoes
16 Oz drained peas,
16 Oz ground turkey, drained of fat.
3 shots burbon.
8 Oz to 24 Oz of water, depending ifyou want chili or soup.
Add bourbon to turkey, brown. Add peas and shoestring potatoes, with 8z water. Stir until shoestring potatoes are at desired firmness. Add water until desired consistency is reached. Serve hot. Thicker chili's can be served on bread.

Love sauerkraut. Fermented foods good for health. I like to cook ham slices in butter. Stainless pans usually get a lot of brown left in the pan after cooking the ham but I just throw in some sauerkraut which deglazed the pan for easy clean up. Makes a nice side to ham or other meats. Yummy

Try the Bavarian Style sauerkraut. It's sweet. Sauerkraut isn't theoretically "pickled". It's actually fermented. I have been making it for probably over 40 years. Anything fermented is great for your digestive tract. Believe it or not, I also ferment my homegrown garlic cloves in honey. I learned that on UA-cam a few years ago. I use local honey. After about 2 weeks fermenting, I eat one clove a day. You can't really taste the garlic, it takes on a sweet nutty taste. Congratulations on your clean living lifestyle, (I won't say "sober".) I'm 67 and love my puff puff. It's all medicinal. It beats the hell out of the meds the VA put me on.

Use what you've got of course-->fry your sandwich in oil, mayo, lard, bacon grease, etc...and it will most likely be eatable. Just know deep down, there really is no substitute for a good old swirling pan of butter, do your grilled cheese or rueben, or rachel, justice next time and don't forget the butter. Also, congrats on the year, and doing things solo it takes a mountain of courage and commitment to do what you do, just don't forget the butter :)

Reuben sandwiches are my favorite. Also grilled turkey, ham, Swiss 1,000 island grilled on rye too. Delicious also sauerkraut, polish sausage and dumplings. 🔥
😂😂😂 Here’s a lil tip; turn the fire off and then add the lid! Especially when using a cast iron pan. It should still generate enough heat. When not using a cast iron pan, turn the fire down to the lowest setting and cover. Honestly, it might even melt the cheese with no fire.

The Jackery is 1500 WATT-hours, not 1500 AMP-hours. It's quite a big difference, as watts = volts x amps. 1500 Wh / 120V is 12.5 Ah and 1500 Wh / 5V is 300 Ah. 5 times less than if it were 1500 Ah
