- This 1.8 turbo powered, slightly tuned '94 Audi 80 got us thinking about the whole brand of four intersecting rings. How did their huge involvement in motorsport effect their road going passenger cars? And has their retirement of many major racing series effected the new model range of "olympic-Volkswagens".
While both old and new have their pros and cons, we just had to hoon around the wintery Finnish roads in search of a metaphor...

Old quattro's are what exites my pants, they are somehow far more intresting for me than frances and ricers. So good video and goin to right direction with cars👍😊 Everybody can/try to do vids with new cars, but those old'ish modified "carguy" things are great. I know Finland is full with interesting project cars so hopefully we'll see them more in your videos at the future 👍
They do have character don't they. We'll try to balance between older and newer stuff. New cars will get most of the views (unfortunately), but what we can promise is that we'll always bring the "car guy perspective" in each and every video!

Just stumbled on this……great video guys had a few audi 80’s over the years my first 84 audi sport then a cple in the early 90’s just getting through my aircooled 911 phase now on the lookout for an early 90’s s2 …. Gotta get over and try that snow great stuff from across the sea in the uk subscribed 👍👍👍👍

João Pereira thank you good sir! We’d very much like to bring some ice driving content this winter, but unfortunately the situation with the frozen lakes doesn’t allow us to do so atm. It snowed a lot earlier, which makes the foundation of the ice really soft, and now it raining so it’s waaay too mushy for any car 😔

I love this car. I habe a 94 B4 Quattro for myself. But with the 2.0e engine.
I still got the original 2.0 dohc engine on her, thinking about changing it to 1.8 TURRRBO
Norman Aqua Haven’t driven one with an N/A engine, I bet it’s nice as well. But there’s a ton of potential in the 1.8T for sure

Audi 80 Quattro Competiton there was no turbo engine was ONLY 2.0 16V. Only 2,500 pieces were produced .
I do not know. I just love the Audi cars from this era, especially the 100 C4 and 80 B4. Even they have some flaw in different angle of perspective, I still in love with them and this Audi 80 Competition is no exception either.
I am sure that interior materials of Audi 80 B4 is far better than Audi A4 B5. If it was in cold weather country, there probably no issues. But for tropical weather where I live, the Audi A4 B5 console material starts to something like melt and sticky when the car is more than 10 years old.
Anyway, I thank you very much for this review and the model you drive is definitely rare and hard to be found.
I've been driving a B5 for a couple of weeks now, and everything other than the driving itself is from a different planet compared to a B4. The interior materials are comparable (or even worse) than a ~2005 Renault, and that's saying a lot. Even here in the cold, things are sticky, all the labels of the buttons have wore off, seats look nasty etc. etc.
Couple that with the electrical problems and drivetrain issues, and it's pretty clear that VAG had their "W210 moment" in terms of quality...

For electrical and drivetrain issues, I think I start to realize it when the B5 that I drive occasionally reach its 22 years old. :D
Kalateya This 14 yo one’s on its second drivetrain with 230k km on the clock, and the gearbox seems to be on its way out again... Makes one respect w124’s and LS400’s even more I guess!

You should review a guy who owns a supercharged fiat punto who is finnish, he also has a UA-cam channel, his name is JoNIK and has 160db speakers which occupy the whole trunk. You should review it.
