  • Transcript: I’m Father Dominic with another baking secret from the Bread Monk. Often an ordinary cookie or scone can benefit from a little swirl of chocolate on the top, but you don’t have to use a pastry bag and a metal tip, especially if you’re doing a small batch, that seems like a lot of cleanup. Now, you can find disposable plastic pastry bags in the same aisle as cake decorating supplies in a big department store, but an ordinary plastic bag will do the trick as well. So you’ll put chocolate chips in the bag, and then you microwave it for about 10 seconds at a time and knead gently until it’s melted. Clip the corner carefully, use very sharp scissors, and then you can squeeze the bag to decorate your sweet treat. I’m Father Dominic, the Bread Monk. Share the secrets and bake the world a better place.
