I have the 2021 model of the basecamp x 20 ' . driven across Canada and back approximately 18 000km from Vancouver to fort st John new foundland . Great rv no issues during our trip across Canada . We recently did a trip to the Yukon , drove the cassiar highway , Alaska highway , highway on top of the world among others . We did the Dempster highway , this is where we had some damage . Our fresh water drain switch had broken off. it was made of plastic . it happened approximately50 -100 km into our trip on the Dempster , we lost all our fresh water we had stored prior to our trip . Our tow vehicle is a Dodge Ram 3500 with the HO and with the aison transmission. The quality of build on this rv is amazing . One flaw with the amount of torture I put this trailer through simply amazing . Thanks for the video
Thank you for this excellent review. I hope you are aware of how helpful this is, I am very impressed with your attention to detail, and the Bascamp! Well done 👍
My Family owns the largest Airstream repair and customization shop in the west coast Vinniesairstreamrepair. I showed him a couple of your videos, we’re big fans. Just bought at regular cab Cummins long bed and love it!
Man this paired with a shorter tow vehicle would be perfect for a short overall set up to go and tour some national parks. In a perfect world I would have this in addition to our fifth wheel depending on where we wanted it to go. 🇺🇸💪
Thanks for the review but I would have liked to see you go into more detail on all of the boondocking capabilities of this rig. Those designs are why it’s a little pricey. 300w of solar on the roof, no exposed plumbing so pipes don’t freeze, X package with a lift kit for going off-road, tank heaters for when it’s really cold, etc. Just my 2 cents.
Those windows are unbelievable. The views you could have with that rig are outstanding. One disappointment to me is the manual tongue Jack instead of a power tongue Jack on a rig that I’m sure if pretty expensive. Thanks for the video JB.
I really wish that Airstream made an European model of the Basecamp with a more centralised axle and BPW chassis, inertia brakes (surge brakes), handbrake and 50mm coupler. This is very nice sized caravan with a unique design.
Pretty unbelievable that the windows don’t open, and there’s those chintzy zippered things over the front windows…. Seems you would just boil yourself in there, totally dependent on the a/c…?

I will own one of these one day

Yup it starts at $54k and was surprised by the manual tongue jack… I would even settle for a optional one lol! thanks David 👍🏾
@@JB_WhoWork Power tongue Jack is an option.
@@erickphillips8507 it’s a $600 upgrade. You’re already spending 70k
@@sloanh812 Which is why we got one.

Nice video
I’m stuck on something like this or “going all the way” at least for me, and getting a 27 Flying Cloud
Baseprice 40K. With all the bells and whistles, gets close to 60K.
🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
I agree!
What camera did you use for this video
It needs a rear bumper for protection
I want a 20 inch with the kitchen in the front like h 16 foot. Please.
Is this Basecamp X?
Basecamp 20
@@JB_WhoWork @Madtiger Yes it is the Basecamp 20X, not the Basecamp 20. Those are two different models. "X" is the offroad geared model.
Not a warm feeling..kinda too sterile.....a government inmate transport vehicle..my opinion.. aluminum great on outside...not on inside...

I must have missed...PRICE!?
Bathroom is to small.
