- Thinking about putting a 4" straight pipe on your first gen cummins? In this video I install a 4" straight pipe on my first gen cummins. As most of you know this is the biggest you can go on the ole first gen. this straight pipe is insanely loud and sounds amazing. Thanks to diamond eye performance for the exhaust! Hey nice truck. I got a early 91 with a 4 inch-straight pipe
It was on the truck when I bought it, I put a magna flow muffler on it the next morning after I drove it 50 miles home i had forgot how it sounds like a garbage truck I used to drive back in the 80s. Do not reuse the turbo clamp it will work loose every so many miles and rub on the frame when you lock the wheel to the left it is annoying This is the second 1 st generation I’ve had .The first I bought in Spring of 95 it was a 92 club cab duelly good truck I ran it without a muffler for a couple of years till I got sick of the drone over 60 when pulling a trailer. Good channel

Why a 4” and not a 5” like most people switch to ???
4” on the 5.9 sounds better. Most 5” I see are on 6.7s
@@codykochan-erdman9620 Yea a lot of people in Texas do the 5” swap on 5.9 (2nd gens) , I have a 4” on mine with a 8” tip sound way better than a 5”.
