Very genuine and original drum parts in a genre where all else is pretty much the same cut and dry formula. This is one of those playthroughs that helps you realize even though you already understood the part was insane, it's even more of a monster than you thought.
I support you 100% recently realized that most of the genre is that way. Like that aversions crown and shadow of intent are basically the same in the drumming aspect of things. 75% of a song should not be blast beats and the other 25% is skank beats and fast fills. It gets boring.
You’re 100% spot on with that my guy. Fuckin Austin Archey is in an elite class of his own when it comes to Deathcore drummers, and He’s among the elite in metal drummers in general imo. Closest I can think of in Deathcore is Leo McLains playing on Immortal Disfigurements King. Even though the mix on that album is horrendous, That’s how I know it’s a fantastic album and He absolutely SLAYED the drum parts is when I can acknowledge and know the mix is below average, It doesn’t deter me from the album in the slightest.
No worries dude it's my favorite song ever that I think I'll have and it just becomes kin with me... but on another note if you remember psalms I would be blown away to see him do infernal haunting. It is fucking insane
barely heard anything from them but damn this dude can blast like a monster Edit...Update 1 week later, i love this now and have had them on repeat lately. His footwork is still mindblowing
These guys are amazing live. Great stage presence, amazing at getting the crowd involved, funny and great guys to talk too. Glad I got the opportunity to open for these guys, Bodysnatchers and Aversions Crown.
lol especially at 2:27 when he plays a double stroke roll with onky his left foot LOLOLOLOL love austin but this is so unbelievably over dubbed and mega edited.
Well fuck me. Why didn't I give Lorna shore a chance before. Everyone in the band is insanely talented. His drumming style makes so much sense. Like everything has a purpose to enhance the song.
Damn, I've really gotten into Lorna Shore recently (well I've been into them for a few years now but when they released Flesh Coffin it revitalized my love for them). I heard the drummer in the studio footage they released that he wanted to try a different approach to his style than on Spalms; which I actually do like a bit better than FC. But the drumming is a lot more unique on this record and being a drummer myself I've been practicing different techniques on getting my blasting better and my double bass more aligned as I have a bigger pedal for the right foot and a smaller for the left. Definitely will be getting a Iron cobra for my new db peda!
MetalBearLife dont....they will just give you too much slack and rebound. Go with Axis regulars. They're much better for speed and thats coming from a person whos played them both for 5 years
Axis Regulars, ok thanks for the advice! I'm a drummer, and yet I'm very unfamiliar with the different double bass pedals out there, and what different styles should be used for what genres. Thankfully there's people like u who recommend the good ones! Thanks again man. How long have u been playing the drums?
Im still astounded by this almost 2 years after i found it(edit 4 years now)...despite there being faster stuff...not much of it complements the music and sounds as clean and good with it as this does
As someone who hates/has hated deathcore for over a decade - I find myself watching these videos constantly. Blown away. Being an elitist metal a-hole is making me miss out on some SERIOUS talent in the "core" genre. This shit is wild.
how long will an a bit above average talented drummer, who just began drumming needs to cover this ? Is it possible to achieve this speed and techniques in one year when playing 2 hours every day ?
anideath I believe it is possible. However your training needs to he disciplined and focused. Check out the band Fleshgod Apocalypse's - Agony album. The drummer was only a drummer of 3 years and he played that.
One year? No. You have to be a prodigy. I'd say it would take the average person about 3-4 years of constant daily practice to maybe get to this level of playing.
Yes you can. I would recommend mastering the different kinds of blast beats and developing your endurance cause most of this kind of songs are at a high bpm. Then next is probably choosing the right technique for the double bass. Swivel, Heel-toe etc. whatever you think suites you or it depends on how you are comfortable to it.
toms could be a little louder the quietest thing in the mix when everything is going 500mph are the 2 high toms, I assume 8" and 10"? everything else sounds good, I dig how you basically have double strokes going on with the bass drum
Super underrated drummer, this album has some crazy parts
I think he also just tried to stay more Lowkey in general.
Tries to stay Lowkey
Thats over now. Ppl are finding out what a beast he is
@@motrep4660 Fr, I decided to revisit his older videos, and WOW! He's progressed soooo much!
This is the funeral of those drums cause he just fucking slayed that song.
austin is 1 of most unique drummers deathcore ever had
Listen to Animosity
Listen to Henker.
Yeah. Even Chris Turner from Oceans Ate Alaska.
Сергей Хикканберг Henker isn’t Deathcore.
chris turner from OAA is in a class of his own...
It sounds like WWII on drums.
lmao xDD
Good 1
*WWIII
I dont know any other kind of music where this is a compliment lol
I had to imagine that for a minute for it to sync in. But hey, it synced. Dead af 🤣

Aversions Crown and Shadow of Intent both are fucking on point mate!
Lol dont compare jayden to that. His playing and parts are ridiculous. Not just blast roll bladt roll.

I miss this Lorna Shore
Fast, but still groovy. I'm absolutely astounded, awesome job!
At first I was sorta skeptical with Lorna Shore, but god damn it, dude. I love them now.
Definitely have a weird obsession over this song lol
No worries dude it's my favorite song ever that I think I'll have and it just becomes kin with me... but on another note if you remember psalms I would be blown away to see him do infernal haunting. It is fucking insane
Same
Same here.
Damn he just dances around the kit Fucking flawless I’ve been watching this video for almost 2 years now and I still am amazed

Probably loving their new album.
@@grxygxds Not so much actually....i like the drumming more than anything and the songs arent all that catchy.
This is my favorite video at the moment. Catchy drum riffs, double strokes on point. Definitely an Austin style in this one
Man, Austin’s kick double strokes are so uniform. Sick meter at pace!
One of my favorite drummers! I'm love all of these Lorna Shore play throughout that have been uploaded recently!
Wow, Anup Sastry filmed this, two monsters drummers! 🔥🔥🔥❤
These guys are amazing live. Great stage presence, amazing at getting the crowd involved, funny and great guys to talk too. Glad I got the opportunity to open for these guys, Bodysnatchers and Aversions Crown.
DANTVSVERGIL all sick ads bands
3:52-4:42 BEST end ever, i cry every time
Chillest guy to talk to and amazing amazing live
The devil gifted this man some serious skills!
Feel like it’s unnecessary to be this good at something. Sheesh.
Holy bass drum! 😮
I can feel the deep blue tones, red tones, black tones, even. This song relates to me lyric wise and tone wise. So beautifully done, Austin!
I love how at the end of the song's he's like ''please end song, please please please '' haha THis is simply amazing, great job !
I want a guitar playthrough for this song!
those double strokes on the kick are fire. killing it
lol especially at 2:27 when he plays a double stroke roll with onky his left foot LOLOLOLOL love austin but this is so unbelievably over dubbed and mega edited.
@@grxygxds he probably did several takes and they happened to use the videotake where he for some reason forgot to play that exact part
I have been on flesh coffin nonstop since I found it last yr. I was previously obsessed with RoS but now I have lorna And Brand of Sacrifice.
Well fuck me. Why didn't I give Lorna shore a chance before. Everyone in the band is insanely talented.
His drumming style makes so much sense. Like everything has a purpose to enhance the song.
Meu deus, que som lindo!!
Ricki insane man! 🔥🔥🔥
Amazing drumming, great videography.
He’s probably one of the best
Brutal! 🤘🏻
all these years later and this guy is still a gun
Fantastic incredible..
❤️❤️❤️
We need a footcam versions only of this....also a sneaky gravity blast at 3:33
Yum yum Austin is a beast
See the Meinl cymbal in the first shot and IMMEDIATELY know this is gonna kick ass
I like how almost every person who says something negative about his drumming probably can't even drum themselves so they have no room to talk shit.
Like this!
I want one for Desolate Veil, it'd be great one to see🤘🏻
One from the best drum play through I ever saw
PERFECTION
Oh boy that's clean

Was this recorded in the depths of hell?
And now he is back with Meinl. 👌🏻
Unbelieveble 😅
Legend says he's still healing from carpal tunnel today...
Need one for To the Hellfire now!!! ASAP!
🔥🔥🔥🔥
this dude is pure metal!!! and also whats that snare :O
He’s a god on drums
lol @ hit legs stopping before the kicks at 1:10
For me he is a one of the great drummer that i've been watched.

Oh this band gets better and better. People love to hate them, because they’re absolutely amazing.
I think my neighbors are starting to like this song after the 50th time🤣
We want also a guitar playtrough
Kairos yes!
I've never seen a guitar cover of their songs
I absolutely love the China crash.
this drummer is a fucking tank
🤯
Dem runs.
I prefer the stoned version
sounds like he has that Czarcie kopyto double stroke groove down to a science!!!
brrrrrrrr brrrr brr br nice

Thicc boi plays groovy drums
Anyone know what kind of sticks are used here???
what kind of pedals does he use?
Sabroso!
Holy shit
The guy's a beast! I'm just not feeling the toms
Anybody know what snare head he’s using
Does he use trigger?
DUDE!!! You are SICK!!! How the fuck do you do those fast doubles? Are you triggering your kick ?
Why did he switch from Meinl to Paiste? This setup is fkn awesome.
What is the ride he is using?
Looks like a meinl classics
Meinl soundcaster 22 big bell ride
Is the double bass heel-toe?
Yes it's heel toe. If those were single hits you would be seeing a lot more motion in the legs.
Someone can tell me what size crash he use
holy fuck
Austin powers
Blackened Deathcore drumming is thicc
That was brutal as fuck 💞🤘🏻
I was all like wait a minute is this is showing this video to me I bet you the moon is full tonight and look up in the sky and guess what I saw
If you play it on 1.5 speed the kick drums sound like one note
The magic it's made seems easy.
pedal's hammers are so fast that video is slow motion xD
Heel toe
Rambo called! He wants his machine gun back!
🇧🇷🇧🇷🤘🤘
Meinl cymbals ftw!!!!!!
i want to see him play unedited without triggers.
I Would wonder what the bpm on that double bass is🤣🔨
Probably 999
WOULD PARTY WIT
waoh, I just know him. he's fast.
ayo........
