While watching this I had my eyes filling up with tears. I thought I was the only person in the world who did this and watching this video has amazed me. This is what I do, every night, it's horrible. I just want to go to bed, but I can't because this is what I do. It really is horrible. I never realised what I had was an Obsessive Compulsive Disorder. I know that my Mom's got it, but I didn't think I would
I hate when people say stuff like 'oh i have OCd because i have to put all my books straight and perfect' and im just like 'no you dont- stop pretending to have it, stop wanting to have it and be considerate of people who actually do have it!'

I hate it too. do you want it? seriously? I would gladly switch places with anyone that wants to live in my nightmare world of fearful thoughts and skin picking.
I used to go down the stairs in a specific way after I washed my feet... restarting any time I felt I messed up. Also used to say prayers for 30 minutes to an hour. Restarting any time I didn't say the prayer right in my head.

I try to explain to people what OCD is and what I go through. They seem to think it’s just as simple as keeping things in order or routines etc.. it’s very frustrating! But I must thank you for this video because I no longer have to attempt to explain my situation and receive blank confused looks, I can now just show them this video.. very sad existence, very exhausting and painful as well.. again thank you!🙏🏼
As a child, I did pretty much everything showed in this video. I always had an obsession with numbers and still do. When I was in the car with my parents and we passed an ad, I HAD to know how many letters there were in the ad. If my dad drove too quickly for me to calculate, I'd memorise the letter I left at and keep obsessing about it during the time we were at the restaurant, for example. I'd keep repeating myself so I don't forget to count the rest of the letters on our way back. I now count facial features. I'd go eyebrow 1-2, eyes, 3-4, nosrils, 5-6, upper and lower lips, 7-8 and ears, 9-10. If I'm in the bathroom, I'd tell myself to not count the tiles, but by stopping myself from doing it, I get bad anxiety knowing I'd never know how many ceramic tiles there were.

This video is well made, but I think it will lead to further misunderstandings concerning what OCD really is. OCD is NOT being neat, tidy, putting things in order. There are people who do it because they like it, or it bothers them, but the most important component is that people with OCD always, always, always experience anxiety. Without anxiety, this is hardly OCD. The compulsions this person in the video performs stem from anxiety, and the anxiety from obsessive, intrusive thoughts. These thoughts are so scary to the person that they try to relieve the anxiety by performing certain rituals. I really do hope that people will understand this one day and stop making fun of people with OCD or use the terminology as a joke to refer to someone who is tidy and clean. No, this is NOT OCD!
What are treatments? Is it possible to eliminate competely? Since 5 years ago, I've developed a compulsive habit of trying to recall what I forgot and dwelling on thoughts. I believe it stems from the fear of losing control and not having things work out like I want them to. I came a long way and learned to let go a lot, but the feeling of something missing lingers, and it doesn't bother me like it used to, but it doesn't go away, I believe I developed a form of mental OCD. I don't know how to resolve it, the negative feeling is sub lodged in my psych now and I never really enjoy a moment in the present anymore
+MMM MMM there is exposure response prevention therapy. It's incredibly hard and terrifying honestly. You're exposed to things that would cause compulsions and are forced to not continue your compulsion. like if you have ocd related to germs you would dig through garbage and then sit without washing your hands for a certain amount of time. Its done with the supervision of a therapist and then on your own between sessions usually. you're also exposed to your intrusive thought pattern repetitively until it doesnt bother you anymore. like I have morbid ocd so I would have sit there and watch a scene from saw that is similar to obsessions i have that would normally repeat in my head for hours and terrify me and immobilize me in fear, but I would watch the scene over and over again until it didn't scare me or bother me anymore. it desensitizes you to your disease so you're unaffected by it. that in combination with proper medication management if you choose to take meds and a good support system should lessen the control that ocd may have on your life. its specifically tailored to each individual person and their ocd. i havent done it but ive wanted to. it's crazy difficult to go through but it can help immensly. it's the number one most helpful therapy for ocd

Well, yes AND no. There are "neat freaks" with OCD, and there's also "hoarders." I'm one of the hoarders. You said: "OCD is NOT being neat, tidy, putting things in order. There are people who do it because they like it, or it bothers them, but the most important component is that people with OCD always, always, always experience anxiety." Yes, that's accurate, but a true OCD patient who is a neat freak WILL FEEL that anxiety when things are "out of order" or messy. Just like a "hoarding" OCD patient will feel anxiety when throwing things away.

Thank you for this film which expresses what it is like to feel unable to escape the urges of this ridiculous horrible disorder. The scene on the stairs - where it all gets so confusing and the compulsions just grow and alter and grow again - is very true. I could feel how he was glued to the stairs and the pull back to do the things he hated. And the scene in the bedroom, where the compulsions end up so muddled and horrific, was very good, in an awful way.
I have OCD. It used to so be so bad I couldn't leave my room. I get disturbing thoughts and always feel like double checking things. However, I have to remain reasonable to not let it take control. I avoid things that speed up my mind. Occasionally I feel like flinching from what it shows me, or I have to remind myself with a little anger to calm down. I find slowing down your mind and thinking objectively and remaining stoic has been helping. Whatever my mind shows me, I have to face it with reason. They are just thoughts. I think watching anime has brought me some great insight. A character from an anime once said: "Those who can't acknowledge their real selves are bound to fail." Also, reading the sword of truth series has helped.

Believe me, this is the worst I've ever been in. I've been physically and psychologically devastated. Sometimes I cried and I could not move, but thank God who also created me to protect me
i have OCD too, when i touch something then i have to picture an image in my mind before leaving that thing, if i picture something wrong, i have to touch the thing again and think of the picture again and that goes on and on, so stressful, i know that doesn't change anything but there is a compelling feeling inside me that tells everything is gonna be destroyed if you don't do that. i can write a book on the way i think, there are thousands of rules that i have to follow every second, so weird
Vanessa Carbajal yeah, we can't do anything about that, that also ruins our concentration, when i try to concentrate, their is a feeling from inside to get an object which is in front of me arranged. Unless i put that thing in proper order i can't get satisfied. do your friends and fmly know that you have OCD?
***** oh, same here, OCD does not affects our study directly but all the the time we waste on satisfying the OCD is bad. i'm sorry i don't use FB, that's too addictive and i have created FB and deleted my account multiple times, lol But we can sure be connected on g+, :)
I think this video is great. It doesn't make fun of people who do have OCD and it's sad how hard their lives can get. Sometimes I joke around that I have OCD because I have to have everything in its place and in order or else I get frustrated, but it's nothing to joke around about. It's a real thing just like the people who have it. We should treat them right even if they might do this or that differently than us.
I'm so thankful that my checking is very bad. I deal with other things but I can at least get to sleep. My heart goes out to the people who have trouble with checking.

I have to run my hands along the edges of everything in order to feel satisfied, whether its my computer screen, keyboard, closet, door, doorknob, etc. When I write a letter and its a little light on one part, i go back and make the darkness even, but then i mess up, so i fix it, and then the letter is darker than all the others, so I darken the whole word, then words after that. Whenever I see a sharp objects just lying around, like a butter knife (this isn't even that sharp) on a jar, I take it and put it flat. Then I notice that its been used, so I clean it once, and keep scrubbing to making sure there isn't even a spec of food on it. Then I put it back where it belongs. I do it because I have the fear that someone will trip and it'll go in their eyes or something even though that is unlikely. If I give my mom a kiss on the cheek, I have to give everyone else one too or else they're going to die (irrational fear I know). If I give one person two kisses, then I HAVE to give everyone else one as well or else you know. When I'm leaving the house, I have to hug the person closest and tell them all "Bye bye! Take care! I love ya'!" or else they'll die since I didn't tell them this stuff, but that again is highly unlikely (impossible actually). Its really annoying since Im never actually satisfied but seem to get over it after doing it a billion times.
***** is this ocd? when i do something to satisfy myself but i can control it but sometimes if i had the chance and i rememberd ill do it but i can stop it no harm or need done.for e.g looking left but need to look right is that ocd? that is one of the things i do, not frequent but sometimes.
The video did a great job. As for the people here who are bragging about this not being accurate just remember that everyone experiences this disorder differently so it is impossible to include everything in a short video.
Most of the videos about ocd talk about the neat and tidy stereotype ( although for some people it is about that side of it ) this is one of the videos that shows more the unusual compulsions that I feel like no one understands :/
I agree. my compulsions are similar to the video, but lesser severe. I always feel like drawing arcs on corners with any body part. really satisfying lol

I suffer from ocd. I have experienced every form in this video and now I suffer from pure ocd. I am 41 and have suffered since I was 11 years old and perhaps even younger than that. Unfortunately there is no cure at present and I have a liveable control over the disease. I wish I could cure it for everyone, nothing would give me greater life fulfilment than to help fellow sufferers.
ocd is terrible i have to count to 100 before and after i do something i have to touch things or something bad is gonna happen i use my right foot to step up and left down i count in 4s when i walk i use my left hand to hold things and right to write and if i mess up something like counting or walk i restart from the beginning dont wish for ocd
I used have OCD. Even i used to do some compulsive actions repeatedly for the fear that something bad will happen if i dont do those actions.I used to touch the people whom i love and used to think that they will die if dont touch them .I also had a fear that if i dont look at white color ten times when i see any white colored object,i will loose my parents or loved ones. I used to get exhausted and stressed by doing them repeatedly. Then after two years i decieded that let whatever will happen let it happen, now i am going to stop repeated compulsive actions. Then i really stopped doing so.Nearly twelve years passed away and nothing bad happened as i used to fear. Now i am very happy and having peace of mind. SO I REQUEST YOU TO COME OUT OF THAT SHIT AND ENJOY YOUR LIFE. Take it as a sugesstion from your loving brother
Itsjustnia,It really is all in your head just don't let it get that far...Try counting to ten instead and Say WHAT THE FUCK AM I DOING HHERE and STOP...I can control it,you can to...Just have to say instantly, what the Fuck wake up...lol Best luck
Interestingly, my obsession with good and bad numbers/ time comes out while I watch UA-cam videos as well.. I can't pause or close out any video at certain minutes or seconds because those numbers are bad...
omg, i also have the same thing, that's like something bad will happen if i close the vid on that min or sec, if i close that by mistake i open the page again and then let the vid get to the min that i want and then close the vid, that's crazy
@@xxgoatxx4824 Ah, must be very troublesome and mentally exhausting. Don't give up buddy, if you are using some method to lessen the intensity of that feeling, keep on trying.
@@CodyRichardsR yea thanks I don’t really use a method I just started to do less and less as time passes and it happens at night mainly so it’s so hard sleep early some times
This video is absolutely inspirational and amazing, really captures just what OCD is! Shoutout to all the people with it, it's alright, you're okay too :)) Love this x
Ever since I was young, I've always had to touch things an even amount of times, unless I'm counting things then they have to be odd. I also have that little voice in my head that tells me something bad will happen if I don't do it. My most recent tick is counting numbers. Every single time I see a number with 2+ digits, I have to add them together until they get to a one digit number. I had no idea until recently that this was ocd legitimately thought everyone was like this.

I believe I have OCD because I have to touch certain objects a certain amount of times and go back and forth again and again. Also, there are certain numbers that I like and some numbers that I don't like. If it's a mixture of 5 and 6, that's good because it equals up to 11..and 11 is a good number. Sometimes I have to shut my door a certain amount of times. I try to hide these things because it's embarrassing... :/
Hydr0 Aardvark I get a lot anxiety when I do not touch the object and in my mind it's like, 'touch this or else..' I get anxiety everyday and have had a few anxiety attacks.
Rose Bud i too hide it as best as i can. when i can't hide it in public because i need to do it, or i tell myself something bad will happen if i don't, i try to make it look as natural as possible. when I'm by myself, though, it gets extremely annoying because i have to do things over and over again. when i walk, i go back sometimes and redo something that i didn't like. for example, if i stepped on a crack or if i didn't or if i was too close to furniture, etc. on top of that, i count my steps and I've been doing that for as long as i can remember. i also fiddle with my hands and things in my hands and i touch the same place of the item/ my hands over and over. on a remote control, i always repeatedly press on the "exit" button. and when watching tv, the volume has to be a multiple of five (5,10,15,20,25,etc.)or just a number that i'm okay with, depending on the mood i'm in at the time. i actually hate buttons/keys in general because i always have to touch around them or press them over and over again. and like now, when I'm typing, i retype words. when i type in public, i get this anxiety that i will retype words and people will ask why. i get that anxiety all the time and i hate it. i also avoid the numbers 1111 and 111111 because they scare me and that seems childish and embarrassing but idk i even hide this from my own parents and i have no idea how to tell them because, again, i find it SO EMBARRASSING. sorry if that was confusing
twentyonepilots I can relate to when you said it gets extremely annoying when you're by yourself. I have to go back and forth over and over to touch a certain object a certain amount of times, it's energy draining and annoying. Very annoying.
well done. When I saw this I thought that many people with OCD may be trying to reconstruct something, but get stuck somehow before they are able to hit on the place that they are trying to remember. Perhaps they were interrupted during something significant and it caused the person to try to reconstruct the moment. Ill bet once the person makes one breakthrough the rest can unravel.
I 100% have OCD and it furiates me when people claim to have it as it to seem special or different . I do however believe everyone has some form of it. Whenever I'm finished with the toilet Nd everything's flushed, i have to come out the toilet with one food and blink at the toilet to make sure its clear then blink at something else to refresh the blinking , THEN, i have to blink at the toilet and another object twice, sometimes ill do more times or less. My bedroom door slides so i have to close it a couple of times in weird sequences if it didn't slot in the first time, same with switching off plugs..... I can never really just do it once, i have to go off on off then slide my finger up the Button to make sure its how it should be then i put my fingers on the edge of the actual sockets and make sure i pus down hard so i can touch the corner.
Hamza Shaheen Yes sometimes. Thinking about it i don't get it often, but when i do i just try and say no and walk away. I naturally have an extremely over active analytical mind so having OCD as well as this really tires me out.
+Damn Afont same! Ive had it as long as i remember, like in primary school i would blink at a certain part of the teachers body loads and there was no reason for it. Atm my 2 numbers are 5 and 3 so ill blink at say the toilet to check its clear 5 times then walk out come back in and blink 3 times. It really does frustrate me but i seem to still do it!
Yeah! like a lot of the time when i'm at work i'll have to look at someone and blink a bunch of times and look away but I don't feel comfortable with it then i have to restart and it gets annoying.

good vid, this shows just a small part of what OCD victims have to live with every day, i personaly feel the hardest part is the fact that i know these things are stupid, i know the world wont end if i dont do the things i do, but i still have to do them. other then that it is probably the fact the others cant see you are sick, like with a broken leg
CEG GHD Ya it really horrid! I really do have OCD and it's not great at all. If you really knew the struggle you would never thing that! All of these thing in this video is all of things I do and I do more too. So all the people who want to OCD, no you don't. Some people go as far as killing theirselves because it's so annoying. So go live life the happy way. And don't be stuck in the OCD shell.

Oh my gosh, this is exactly what my childhood was like. Funny considering that this was uploaded when I was five years old, which was right around the time I started showing symptoms. Nowadays my OCD doesn't manifest itself quite like this anymore, but it's still there, and the way it manifests itself these days is honestly much more distressing and upsetting than before. OCD is not a fun personality quirk, it is a mental disorder that can deeply hinder the sufferer's life.

I know I'm responding to an old comment but I hope you read this. The condition only gets as bad as you give it permission to be. You have to not open and close the doors, not rub the corners of tables, or whatever it is for you. The less often you give in the less bad it will get. I encourage you to read as much as you can about it. I hear that a really good book on this type of thing is 'the imp of the mind', although I mainly learned through the internet.
don't have ocd but I'm a perfectionist and just dealing with that alone is stressful enough! I'm always going back to something fixing it over and over and over the smallest thing outta place and I feel like it's destroyed !
It seems there's many and different forms of OCD. For example from this video I only have this problem with locking and unlocking the door few times or at least double/triple checking if it's locked or not. And if it doesn't help, I need to say to myself: "Now it's unlocked, and now it's locked" when I'm locking and unlocking it *sigh*. But I do have other behaviors like washing hands multiple times and intrusive thoughts which can be mentally exhausting. It may sound weird but it helps if I say to myself "these are only irrational thoughts, stop thinking about them, let them be there, you have more important things to do, better move on". It doesn't always help but sometimes it does. What helped me the most is staying busy so mind stays occupied with daily tasks. Now, by reading other users's comments I see many of you deal with even more serious type of OCD. Hang in there, we're in this together and never give up, always share your experience so others can see and maybe we give hope to some people.
It's a good film on OCD. I have OCD similar to this.I would like to thank the entire team Director: Vivienne Jones Producer: Orly Yadin & Gillian Lacey. Production Company: Halo Productions. I would request to make some more films on OCD like this.
I just want to share that i have that kind of disorder before but now it's gone since i listened to the band Suicide Silence, a metal band. Fear and overthinking causes OCD but when i listened to that band, they're lyrics are so powerful that they elliminated most of my worthless worries and fears. They're songs always speaks about not giving a fck, hating the demons in your life and being positive. They even have a song titled OCD.
oh ive just read your comment about checking your school bag ,to check your homework was in the bag.I used to do that when I was little.I think it was tied up with some other anxieties going on in my life. I have recently been diagnosed with A.D.H.D(adult genetic type). After too many years,I might add but at least I know at last.Things will get better. Conditions like O.C.D are beginning to get recognised at last. You are not alone and are bravely seeking help.
Yeah, I agree with you. I also have OCD but I've started to ignore all those thoughts. I had some feeling if I don't do some rituals I'd lose my knowledge about English language. And here I am, after ignoring all those thoughts. And now when I look back, I find all that just funny. :D
I remember doing this all things when I was a kid😢😢😢😢and still do it..... I on and off the switches, wash clothes again and again even though I know they are clean and many things..... And many intrusive thoughts too😢😢I still suffer.... I have been feeling very depressed lately because of thoughts and had anxiety ...... Now it is a bit better but I am still scared like what if something comes to my mind..... Well trying my best to ignore.....and there are some people who act like they have it..... If they get this in real they will know how it feels like..... Hope All people having this disorder may get cure......
I didn't realize how hard this was going to be to watch. Until I became worried that this guy's door wasn't locked when he went to bed. This video is painful. It hurts. But it's real.
just ignore it and dont repeat any thing.force your self to ignore.at 1st would be hard thing to do.but later it would be gone.i suffer from ocd since i was 7 years old.but now after i forced my self to ignore it i am much better
wow, this video describes me almost exactly. I often break down from having to continuously check, tap, count things. Im constantly counting everything, my footsteps, how long it takes me to wash my hands. If i do something on a number i dont like then i do it again.. & again and again and again... Being like this is emotionally exhausting, It feels impossible to stop and if i try i am convinced that someone will be harmed by something more powerful than me.... :'(
I remember the feeling of needing to do things when you don't have the energy or the time. I remember that no matter what i did, something was telling me to do something else. The smallest things, meant i couldn't just get on with my day. I spent years feelings different and like i wasn't worthy of anything.. I saw a councilor for a year, and i now feel so at rest. Of course things still get to me more than the average person, But just know, there is hope. xx
SO TRUE friend...and it hits you in area mostly which are of much concerning...for instance studies used to be my priority...u kno they say in science u need to understand science not mug it up..in this process...I USED TO RE-READ WORLDS , LETTERS,SENTENCES SO MANY TIMES...THE MORE I DO SO MORE I GOT CONFUSING...BELIEVE ME IT WAS SO DEVASTATING...BUT WITH PURSUING MEDICAL I REALISED IM OCD SUFFERER...U KNO KNOWING THESE THOUGHTS R PRODUCT OF OCD HELPED ME OEVRCOME PLIGHT A LOT...
About 4 years ago when I was 11 I had this ritual every single night I would go to everyone in the house and tell them to make sure the tv and the lights were off and if they didn't tell me yes I would get really frustrated and anxious and had to keep telling them until I could feel satisfied. Then I would go into my dad's room and say these exact things in the same order every night " can you make sure the tv is turned off" can you make sure you turn the hallway light off" "can I wake you up if I can't sleep" "even if you are snoring" and he would have to say yes to all off them and then he had to kiss me. It's so exhausting because my family would get sick off it and sometimes say no so I would get anxious.. If weird because now I'm15 and whenever my 18 year brother would sleep over he will always come in my room and say they exact thing as I did with the tv and lights.. Also when I was a little bit younger than 11 every time I would insult my sister because I would always get jealous of her I would always have to say "just joking" in my head or else I would think something bad might happen to her.. My OCD is definitely milder now than it used to be which is so much better because I can actually sleep without doing that ritual..
This is the Best Example of OCD in Soo many that are very accurate. ..My small one is and it only happens two three times each session is. First I'll go to the mirror to look at my face just to see if everything is in order to leave the house. Then I'll grab my key phone and wallet to leave and then I'll reach the door to leave and then something tells me to check my face in the mirror again and so I do, KNOWING I DID IT THE FIRST TIME...I'll do that two three times and then I click and say That's Enough, then I leave...Thank god I don't do the ,Is that door lock on top of it...Even though I do the door thing to but usually not at the same time as the mirror thing.Just keep it in check it helps...
So accurate, almost always when i put something on table but it doesnt make blunt sound, i have to repeat it till i get blunt sound when i put it on table. ITS FUCKING HELL
I know that my Mom's got it, but I didn't think I would
Same i also thought i was only one person in the world who did this and now i am little bit happy to know that i am not only one. It feels like hell!!

+Lisa Suessenbach You are spot on. You have just described me.

Just like a "hoarding" OCD patient will feel anxiety when throwing things away.

ashish kohli I am very confused by this comment, please elaborate

"Those who can't acknowledge their real selves are bound to fail."

when i touch something then i have to picture an image in my mind before leaving that thing, if i picture something wrong, i have to touch the thing again and think of the picture again and that goes on and on, so stressful, i know that doesn't change anything but there is a compelling feeling inside me that tells everything is gonna be destroyed if you don't do that.
i can write a book on the way i think, there are thousands of rules that i have to follow every second, so weird
***** oh, that must be very stressful for you too,
the mental fight is tough
Cody you're so right I'm so tired I have the same problem as well this ocd it's the most annoying thing ever.
***** Exactly, we know that all we do is illogical but we just can't believe that.
i wanna ask you something, does that affect your studies?
Vanessa Carbajal yeah, we can't do anything about that,
that also ruins our concentration,
when i try to concentrate, their is a feeling from inside to get an object which is in front of me arranged. Unless i put that thing in proper order i can't get satisfied.
do your friends and fmly know that you have OCD?
***** oh, same here, OCD does not affects our study directly but all the the time we waste on satisfying the OCD is bad.
i'm sorry i don't use FB, that's too addictive and i have created FB and deleted my account multiple times, lol
But we can sure be connected on g+, :)

This is probably one of the most brilliantly precise portrayal of OCD dilemmas.
Very decent!
I really love this video. It's amazing how accurate this animation's portrayal of OCD is. All I could think about while watching it was "I feel your pain, buddy". Great job!
Great video I was worn out even watching it

At least I don't end my sentence with a comma;
I changed it I always put a , or a . and the end of my comments its just something I do

I too suffered from OCD and then read a book which helped me. It's called "Freeing the Monkey, Saving the Princess" by Psychologist Damián Ruiz. I know it sounds weird to say that a book helped me, but his book really hit the nail on the head for me, his description of the problem, his analysis really opened up my eyes.

*****
is this ocd? when i do something to satisfy myself but i can control it but sometimes if i had the chance and i rememberd ill do it but i can stop it no harm or need done.for e.g looking left but need to look right is that ocd? that is one of the things i do, not frequent but sometimes.
If you have OCD you experience these things every day or you can exprience them once in a while?
Rarely
Danny-Elite so its not necessary to do all these things every day? then how do you know you have it?
Catherine Borgin I mean if I think about it, it happens but idk if it is
The video did a great job.

Oh, a video which illustrates more than just the cleanliness symptoms of OCD. Thank you so much.
Hey i wanna talk to you regarding this condition. ..i kind of interview
I'm glad someone was able to put it into a video that projects how much it sucks to be stuck with this disorder.
ocd is terrible i have to count to 100 before and after i do something i have to touch things or something bad is gonna happen i use my right foot to step up and left down i count in 4s when i walk i use my left hand to hold things and right to write and if i mess up something like counting or walk i restart from the beginning dont wish for ocd
I did all those tings too but only as a kid for some reason ?
Nvm I just realised I do those things as an adult too
I used have OCD.
SAAMMEE 😭😭
Itsjustnia,It really is all in your head just don't let it get that far...Try counting to ten instead and Say WHAT THE FUCK AM I DOING HHERE and STOP...I can control it,you can to...Just have to say instantly, what the Fuck wake up...lol Best luck
I think this is a perfect representation of OCD, (yes I’m diagnosed) nicely done
Interestingly, my obsession with good and bad numbers/ time comes out while I watch UA-cam videos as well.. I can't pause or close out any video at certain minutes or seconds because those numbers are bad...
omg, i also have the same thing, that's like something bad will happen if i close the vid on that min or sec,
if i close that by mistake i open the page again and then let the vid get to the min that i want and then close the vid, that's crazy
@@CodyRichardsR i experience the one where you feel like something bad is gonna happen if I don’t do something
I had no idea until recently that this was ocd legitimately thought everyone was like this.

same and im also acared of words and thoughts
This breaks my heart over and over again
I believe I have OCD because I have to touch certain objects a certain amount of times and go back and forth again and again. Also, there are certain numbers that I like and some numbers that I don't like. If it's a mixture of 5 and 6, that's good because it equals up to 11..and 11 is a good number. Sometimes I have to shut my door a certain amount of times. I try to hide these things because it's embarrassing... :/
me too kinda
OMFG YOU ARE ATT ARE fŞlxşaş SAME AS ME BUT BVVBÖ VVVVB BVVB I CANT EXPLAIN IT LALUFIYYYDV
I can never really just do it once, i have to go off on off then slide my finger up the
Button to make sure its how it should be then i put my fingers on the edge of the actual sockets and make sure i pus down hard so i can touch the corner.
do you have racing thoughts with ocd????
Hamza Shaheen Yes sometimes. Thinking about it i don't get it often, but when i do i just try and say no and walk away. I naturally have an extremely over active analytical mind so having OCD as well as this really tires me out.
+Sarah Creasey Yess! I have blinking problems with my OCD too! i thought it was just me lol
This is totally me.
I think I have ocd, if I see a stranger I have to look at him/her 4 times, or do certain things 4 times. I also hate the number 6.

good vid, this shows just a small part of what OCD victims have to live with every day, i personaly feel the hardest part is the fact that i know these things are stupid, i know the world wont end if i dont do the things i do, but i still have to do them. other then that it is probably the fact the others cant see you are sick, like with a broken leg
Why do so many people syrive for this mental illnes ? 95% of people here wanna have it and it's fucked up..

All of these thing in this video is all of things I do and I do more too. So all the people who want to OCD, no you don't. Some people go as far as killing theirselves because it's so annoying. So go live life the happy way. And don't be stuck in the OCD shell.

Yes u r right
Oh my gosh, this is exactly what my childhood was like. Funny considering that this was uploaded when I was five years old, which was right around the time I started showing symptoms. Nowadays my OCD doesn't manifest itself quite like this anymore, but it's still there, and the way it manifests itself these days is honestly much more distressing and upsetting than before. OCD is not a fun personality quirk, it is a mental disorder that can deeply hinder the sufferer's life.
fuck I just realised I had had OCD and I was exactly like him, but I'm better now!!

I'm always going back to something fixing it over and over and over the smallest thing outta place and I feel like it's destroyed !
thanks a lot for posting this.
This is scary how much I can understand the feeling experienced by the person when needing to do a compulsion
Finally! I'm not alone! Ive have had those problems since like 2006 and I went crazy the first year i had it.
I'm not a visual thinker at all but if I was I feel like this would be pretty spot-on.
It's a good film on OCD. I have OCD similar to this.I would like to thank the entire team Director: Vivienne Jones Producer: Orly Yadin & Gillian Lacey. Production Company: Halo Productions. I would request to make some more films on OCD like this.
This is so accurate it makes me cry...
OCD is nothing to romanticize. I spend hours each day brushing and combing my eyelashes into the perfect position
oh ive just read your comment about checking your school bag ,to check your homework was in the bag.I used to do that when I was little.I think it was tied up with some other anxieties going on in my life. I have recently been diagnosed with A.D.H.D(adult genetic type). After too many years,I might add but at least I know at last.Things will get better. Conditions like O.C.D are beginning to get recognised at last. You are not alone and are bravely seeking help.
Cant even watch the video but im happy when things get in the right order again :)
what pisses me off is i didnt forget nothing but i still check things anyway
This is so trippy, yet it I can weirdly relate....with all of the anxiety that comes from OCD, life can sometimes feel like a bad trippy dream.
I like how the bed remakes itself. :)
just ignore it and dont repeat any thing.force your self to ignore.at 1st would be hard thing to do.but later it would be gone.i suffer from ocd since i was 7 years old.but now after i forced my self to ignore it i am much better
"how accurate do you want it to be?"
video creator: YES
wow, this video describes me almost exactly.
Really sad, but really accurate.
Its hard to do, but you can recover a lot from ignoring it in time. But, I would still tell someone about it. Don't suffer in silence.
I feel the same way. Even watching a youtube video makes my obsessions more acute. If I don't think about it, I almost don't have it.
Well made piece of animation.
This is the Best Example of OCD in Soo many that are very accurate. ..My small one is and it only happens two three times each session is. First I'll go to the mirror to look at my face just to see if everything is in order to leave the house. Then I'll grab my key phone and wallet to leave and then I'll reach the door to leave and then something tells me to check my face in the mirror again and so I do, KNOWING I DID IT THE FIRST TIME...I'll do that two three times and then I click and say That's Enough, then I leave...Thank god I don't do the ,Is that door lock on top of it...Even though I do the door thing to but usually not at the same time as the mirror thing.Just keep it in check it helps...
i have ocd and this video explains it so well!
So accurate, almost always when i put something on table but it doesnt make blunt sound, i have to repeat it till i get blunt sound when i put it on table. ITS FUCKING HELL
