  • Here is my go at a band that's a recent fascination of mine. This is an amazing bass line played by the always wonderful Carol Kaye, and being it my first time actually playing a song on bass with a pick, I don't think I did her work any justice, but regardless, enjoy!

Brilliant even in today's music scene. Early BB song always loved.

Nice one! Just wished you'd lowered the volume of the song so we could hear your bass playing more clearly.

I don't really know why I'm commenting about this on a video this old, but the electric bass on this song and half the other songs on Pet Sounds was played by Ray Pohlman. Carol Kaye has a tendency to erroneously credit herself with things she had nothing to do with and has for the last 30 years

Didn’t Ray play upright bass with her in the same songs at the same time?

@@bernardosantos8020 No, either Lyle Ritz or Chuck Berghorfer were the ones playing the upright. Ray is the sole electric bassist on I'm Waiting For The Day, God Only Knows, I Know There's An Answer, Here Today and I Just Wasn't Made For These Times and he plays 6 string bass on Wouldn't It Be Nice.
