Awesome video! I stack both the AGE and the Buffalo but prefer the Buffalo. Maybe someday the Mint will make the Buffalo in fractional sizes again like they did in 2008👍👍
I blame you for what I'm about to do! I was going home for lunch, looking for a sign to go to the LCS and then I saw your video... Now I'm heading to the LCS full of regret... Lol! Well done brotha! You're 100% right about potential liquidation issues, but I see a shift occurring similar to what we see ASE and even LMU or old European coins. Americans are starting to wake up and realize that gold is gold on some levels. We will see what happens. I remember when people hated on kilos and now everyone buys them.
Very true! I've been really apprehensive about the kilos, but I keep hearing more and more that they are as good as 10 oz bars... I guess time will tell! If I can get them $1 cheaper per oz than the 10 oz bars, should be set either way.
If I was American I'd def be stacking the AGE but only gold coin from USA I own is the Buffalo it's a lil more rustic and I like the 24k 🙂 We also pay higher premium here for both American and 22k coins like Krugerrands but variety is good and keeps stacking/collecting interesting, Can't look at silver anymore tbh it's a speculative "investment" and I have a sour taste in my mouth that I cant wash out, only very few times in history has it actually proven it's self, stocks are my investment and gold insurance silver has proven to be neither. I was definitely on a gold tear for a while, but I've gone back to silver as prices are going down.. I think if I was closer to retirement I would go purely gold, but I'm looking at a very long time horizon before cashing in on the silver. Hopefully it pays off!
Yep. Think of the sale and how willing and able the dealer will be able to convert that into cash in his store. The more difficulty he'll have, the higher premium he's going to give you for his efforts. So like you were saying, commemorative coins are for certain collectors, not just for the general population. so it would take a while to turn that around. But eagles or maple leafs (preferably eagles) are everyday general use and US mint. So everyone understands it and accepts it. Buy with a higher premium knowing that it'll be easier to sell and possibly get more for it if you have to. If you plan on never selling any gold or silver, then buy the biggest bars. you possibly can at once, kilos or 100oz to reduce your premiums. But you'll be stuck with it and not able to move it. That's why you see those big bars with the IRA approved on it.
I'm strickly silver for my personal stack/collection. I've just started to move some gold on my auction. I do it just because people have asked for it. The size of the investment vs the return just doesn't make sense to do on a larger scale. (Although my auction isn't about making a ton of money. I'm here for the community aspect.)

I actually prefer the Buffalo as well. I even saw the $5 lower than Eagles on a major dealer this week. Hard to argue against the Buffalo when it's purity and design are better (imo) than the Eagle, and the #1 advantage (recognition/liquidity) is shared. My buddy made a pretty convincing case for 1/4 oz gold recently and the sovereigns are basically there. If you are confident you can sell the sovereigns easily where you live, seems like a great option

I have bought a 1kg bar from the Fiji Island , sadly the premium is 33% on it . France has very high premiums on silver. Gold here has premiums between 4 to 10%.
Was at a coin show this weekend, hundreds (?) of vendors. Different categories (banknotes, tokens, foreign..) but the bottom line is, 9 out of 10 of the main coin vendors either were not interested in my gold Britannia’s (quarters and half’s) or offered 10-20% below spot ‘because they don’t move’ - finally made some deals to convert into eagles and other but something to keep in mind.
VERY valuable information--thanks for sharing! I think gold Britannias will gain more favor in the USA eventually, but it will probably take a while. You were at FUN I'm assuming?
Good information. I stack the Britannia and Maple primarily due to design and security. Do you know if vendors were offering spot or higher for Eagles. I feel the Britannia will have its day as a very popular coin to collect. With bullion prices currently dropping I do have the Buffalo and AGE on my want list.
New subscriber here. I love your channel. I’m brand new to world of precious metals. I’ve been watching your videos all morning because I’m a truck driver but I just want to say that I’m loving the germania mint coins and bars. I don’t know if I should stack or collect. I’m thinking about collecting germania coins and stacking their kilo bars!! Should I stack silver coins/rounds and which do you suggest? And I might stack gold buffaloes or eagles 1oz too I’m not sure which one to stack. But what I do know is that I love germania mint they look amazing like a work of art.
So great to have you on the channel-- welcome to the Accumulation Nation! If you see my Playlist "Start Here" there might be some helpful 101 videos you could check out. If I was starting over, I would definitely focus on stacking from the beginning. It's really smart to take some time to learn before diving in too deep. A lot of us get excited by the incredible designs and quality, but the cold hard truth is that it is VERY hard to recoup the extra premium when you sell to an LCS (local coin shop). So I think it's smarter to focus on low-premium stacking in the early stages, especially with silver. For gold, some of the lowest premium options (world coins) can be harder to sell, so it might make sense to start with buffalos or eagles for gold (since they are so reliable in the USA--both are great options, so that's up to your preference). Once you have stacked some weight, then you can start exploring collecting; hopefully then you'll have a better idea of what makes a good collectible. Congratulations on starting your journey.
@@quietone1201 It's no big deal! I think that's a fantastic looking coin personally. There's no right or wrong way to buy precious metals, only the way that works best for you and your needs!
Question for Silver Forever, or anyone else: I see that the best price for a 1 oz gold Britannia is selling for about $60 less than the best price I see for Eagles and Buffalos. Are they really worth $60 more than the Britannias? (It is so tempting to save the $60 and get the Britannias.) Your thoughts?
I have both in my stack! At $1700 spot, $60 is about 3.5% premium difference.. so the question becomes: When you sell, will you be get 3.5% more for the Eagle than the Britannia? I think it's worth calling around to your LCS (or wherever you plan to sell) and ask what they are paying for each. To be clear, the ease/certainty of liquidation is the #1 advantage of Eagles/Buffalos-- but that doesn't mean they are the only gold coins I stack! I personally think Britannias are an excellent option and that they will become more popular/accepted over time because of their excellent design and security features, on top of the lower price. In conclusion, I think it's smart to have a foundation of the "sure thing" (i.e., Eagles/Buffalos in the USA), but also to take advantage of great deals on high-quality gold bullion coins like the Britannias!
Advice from me. Don’t get cute and try and collect the world so to speak. I had the hardest time moving a one ounce gold Philharmonic. Stick with eagles or maple leafs.
