@@Hellwyck LOL - You do realise that Doktor Avalanche was a drum machine? In fact several machines actually. Starting off with a Boss DR55, then a series of master pieces from Roland namely the TR606, TR808 & TR909 and on the album and tour for First Last and Always it was an Oberheim DMX. I'm putting my anorak away now.
Of course they don't realise, just ignorant jibber-jabber, as Mr T might say - Not about instruments, it's the vocals; Ofra Haza was a great talent but I just didn't need anything over the original, to me already totally perfect, version. Maybe they should've collaborated on an entirely new song, before she too soon left us behind.
Bellissimo pezzo, molto romantico e gotico allo stesso tempo. Gli strumenti musicali ricordano una grande tempesta. Non si può rimanere indifferenti. Bravi Sister's❤
Wish id seen them before The Mission, but they are back now, both brilliant bands, Wayne Hussey has an incredible presence as a lead singer, amazing voice 🙏🙏 Concert at The Playhouse in Edinburgh was superb, support band were All About Eve, absolutely wonderful, Julianna Regan, what a beautiful hypnotic voice, amazing 😍😍
And *Eldridge* is a genius apart. SoM have enhanced my life since 1984. Hope I get to see them again, soon; they were (shockingly) fantastic last year at Rock City.

*The Puzzle of Gendering* "Flowers that Kill" The gendering of male and female aspects into nature and man-made concepts is a big tradition that has seeped right into the languages of mankind. The puzzle of gendering, however, is not as simple as it appears and not always related to social constructs but to Creation or evolution. This is because, regardless of whether one believes in Creation of God or that of a Darwinian report, the aspects of male and female were not split apart evenly in either Creation or cell division or the spirit. This is what imparts the physical attraction of male and female. The major enduring question is to find which aspects were "switched at birth" so to speak that impart this attraction and confuse the simple gendering process. A female is rarely destructive or violent. That is a good place to begin as to which male processes are actually feminine. We'd bring the order, the peace, and simplification back to men! Complexity and violence are really a feminine aspect shared at various portions with the male. This could eliminate religious self-renovation and give the male back his portions, but we would lose sexuality and reproduction. A good way to understand how you are at achieving generation is to scale oneself on the following chart considering your aspects negatively as more potential for generation. A male with more feminine aspects is more generation-based as is a female with more male aspects. TRUE GENDERING CHART: Feminine 1. Complexity 2. Violence and Destruction 3. Lies and ambiguity Masculine 1. Order 2. Peace 3. Truth and knowledge
I prefer the version with Ofra Haza ..the power in her voice ,she added a middle eastern feel in the same way the stranglers did with golden brown ..just a touch of the exotic ..

Evident ignorance; allow me - both versions had Eldridge, Doktor Avalanche, & 'real' guitarists, only the added vocals are different. Ofra Haza was a great talent but it wasn't needed over an already perfect original. It served a purpose in gaining publicity for an upcoming compilation & perhaps reached new commercial ears, it's nice to have extra versions for choice, as long as I always have the choice of hearing the original instead.
the exiended remix is even better imo.. not the 2022 remix which should be murdered in its sleep. this version is the one ua-cam.com/video/TDMlmdTSWXg/v-deo.html
52 now and happily remembering how Andrew Eldritch was my teenage dream.
I prefer this version, without Ofra Haza. Nothing against her, it's just that it's the version I'm used to (since it's the original one).
Same
*YES*
Me too. I also know only this version. Reminds me the 1980ies in Bonn. Then gothic was up to date and I had a summer hot love affair with someone...🎉
@@BrigitteLuiseDornseifer-fd4cc Nothing like a summer love affair to remember a good song 😜
When I listen to this version, I prefer it.
When I listen to the Ofra Haza version, I prefer that one.
They're both great =D
This version is better than the other.
This is the Original Version
@@thrassthrak9091 Everybody knows that this is the original version. What's your point of telling me?🙂
Yet under the description it says 1992 so not entirely unreasonable some might not know this is the 1983 version.
Love, for all sister of Mercy fans.❤
Legendary classic.....
Umas das músicas minha favorita do The Sister of mercy!🖤🖤🖤
Superior to the later Ofra Haza version. This has brutal simplicity and does not need frivolous decoration. 🖤
...in layman's terms, you hate real instruments.
@@Hellwyck Its more a case of using the right tool for the task, and not using the wrong one.
Personally speaking, the original version was the best, the 92 remix isn't as good.

Omg were we separated at birth??? The Sisters were everything when I was 15!

It is as much an attempt to drag a three minute song to eight minutes, as it is an ingenious way to describe human relations.
