I’m reminded of the line from one of the Doors’ songs, “ Let me tell you about heartache and the loss of god - wandering!…wandering in hopeless night!”
    There has been a severing.

As an aside, I love the painting @ 9.55.
@ first I thought that she had reddish wings. I think she should have.
    Just my opinion.

Hi Paul. I agree with everything you say, esp the part about taste. When you say humanity, does that not imply you frame your self within a culture, people, taste etc... becoming ideologue?

"framing" or understanding things, is not the problem. There are always ideas about things. Ideology is different. It is a whole system of thought basrd on an erronious assumptions aterialism, human omnipotence).

@@Paul-talk TL:DR ""framing" or understanding things, is not the problem." ideology is. Then how does one frame ideology? Isn't framing ideology as wrong, as a wrong whole system, coming from another whole thought system of probably erronious assumptions?
Why is materialism erronious? Or what are these so called 'erronious assumptions'? Also what do you mean by 'materialism'? Democritus, Science (Newton, Locke etc.), Marx? What exactly are you critiquing here? Also what is wrong with women digging ditches? You even said yourself that you are rather content because of the house your father bought for you, and the work you put in to make it your own. Wow do we not read this comment as an 'endorsement' of materialism? Is this not the basis for anyone to not get caught up in ideology as you described it? I don't have to worry or want to be a God, because I am content with the situation I am in. So ideology is on the side of erronious materialism and a believe in the omnipotence of (some)humans. Basically it's about an idea that humans can be without error, whole, & complete. Isn't thinking/knowing that one is outside of ideology an ideological stance par par excellence? How can one claim one is without ideology whilst the rest (the art world) is fully engulfed in it, without assuming you have some sort of 'special', 'above it all', 'omnipotent knowledge'? i.e. saying to the art world: "Don't you see what you are doing is ideological, whilst my approach is not!" Is critiquing art on the basis of 'ideological' vs 'non-ideological' really the best way to describe or understand the current situation, which I too find shallow, dumb, and sometimes an outright denial of reality. Yes there are always ideas about things, but are there things without ideas? We are not God, but who is God to himself? Would he not feel ashamed of fucking up his human project more than once? Weren't humans created in his (Gods) own image? Does this mean mans incompleteness is proof of Gods incompletenes? Or am I some blasphemous idiot missing a fundamental point you are trying to make?
