I remember a mechanic I worked with doing an early 2000s caddillac I think it was. Three filters that slid in a slot and interlocked or some such nonsense. He was not having a good time.
Thanks for the vid, helped me replace mine. User manual only says behind the glove box, thats not too helpful, when other cars require you to remove the glove box.
@@FatGuyBuilds Yup car is almost 6 years old, and manual says to do the coolant at 6th year. Not even 25k miles yet but you recommend to change the thermostat also? Can't wait for the video and you have been doing really good videos since 5,6 years ago, you were the first guy to do ST videos there should be more patreons.
cabin filter brand doesn't matter in the slightest. those brands are not even the best when is comes to oil filters. not sure where you get your info from.
Thinking about just taking that screw out and losing it.....permanently. Seems stupid to put a screw there when a clip is holding that plastic piece in place.
I'm familiar with my car. However, not with the terminology. The video wasn't as clear as I needed. Maybe each topic could be covered twice. The one for the more experienced and knowledgeable is covered. Maybe a beautiful, eager neophyte could translate. What if she follows the video directions on tape with another, similar car? After completion, a long, detailed discussion about success, frustration, and results. Just a thought from an old lady. So few of them these days. Gotta try to follow through. Terrible video. Why would you not actually show you installing the new filter? Learned nothing and I rarely comment, but had to because it was so atrocious.
You must need someone to do it for you. Look at the rest of the comments. Maybe you need to pay someone next time. Plus. Look how early into my channel history this video was. Then watch a new video.

Just replaced my filter at 22k miles. It was black and terrible smelling. Thanks for the step by step tutorial, knocked it out in10 mins.

Kool that is something i can do that. If u are going to flush it. You might as well do the thermostat. It requires the intake manifold to come off

my crevice brings all the girls to the yard
My cabin filter is real stinks. I changed it and smell is coming back after a few days.
U probably had moisture in there. Might have some mold growing in that slot area.
