    I am new to kenra lightners (use the demi and perm color exclusively however) is the blue lightner preferable to the clay lightner? Is there any risk of transfer using just the blue? How many levels can we expect to get without foils?
    Finally is the simply blonde bonder lightner not effective for open air in this technique?
    5 million questions later lol

    • @KenraProfessional
      @KenraProfessional  4 роки тому +4

      Hi Heather! The choice of lightener is a personal preference depending on the application process. In this video, Lo Wheeler is demonstrating the versatility of the Simply Blonde Blue Powder Lightener and its ability to be used in open-air balayage applications.
      The Simply Blonde Blue Powder Lightener can lift up to 8 levels of lift and can be used both in foils and balayage applications like this. The mixing ratio can be 1:2 or 1:3 depending on the application and the stylist preferences.
      The Simply Blonde Clay Lightener can lift up to 7 levels of lift. This lightener is ideal for freehand or balayage techniques and does not require any separation, such as foil, as it creates a natural cast using with Kaolin Clay.
      The Simply Blonde Beyond Bond Lightener can be used in a freehand application; however, we recommend conducting a thorough consultation to identify which lightener may be best for your client's hair. This lightener is ideal for previously lightened or compromised hair. This product contains the DUALBOND technology, which helps repair and strengthen the inner cuticle while sealing the outer cuticle to be stronger during the lightening process.
      We recommend using what makes you feel most comfortable in the application process.

    Triangular sections on balayage creates dimensions and pop of color. My question is that I'm a stylist myself and just want to use this triangular technique on my own hair. I use 20 vol developer with bleach for control on myself. Will I still have to tone afterwards on my curly hair?

    • @KenraProfessional

    Most salons have a set price. This is a quick way thank you for that. It did need some touch in the back. This reminded me of my neighbor back in the 80’s ( her hairstylist never did the back ). It looked more like DIY at home look. When a client exit a salon you want that client to be your walking billboard.

    Would you use 40 volume to get more lift?

    • @KenraProfessional
      @KenraProfessional  Місяць тому

      Hello! The volume of developer does not allow for "more lift," but it does determine the speed at which the lift happens. We do not recommend using 40vol on real clients with our powdered lighteners-- 10 or 20vol for on-scalp, and 30vol for off-scalp. 10vol, 20vol and 30vol will ultimately get you the same amount of lift, but lower volumes of developer will give you more time if needed and have a more gentle effect on the hair.
