Looks like a great idea. I use my garage to shoot videos and I need some kind of out-of-the-way device to hang the backdrop. Looks like I could use the hooks that you used and screw them into the ceiling studs and simply hang a dowel with the backdrop that way. Thanks for the great idea.
pre drill the hole for the hook, makes screwing it into the wall much easier. I would suggest a small block of wood screwed into the wall under the hook to keep the hook from "drooping"
I was thinking about doing similar but on top of my large ikea shelf. Right now the only place I can have my backdrop is in front of my window, but I'd much rather uncover that for the light that could come in.
Bro, this is awesome! Seriously. A lot of big time UA-cam experts are recommending budget gear like Neewer. Let me tell you… it should be illegal to sell bc they are the biggest pieces of shit lol. Thank you again ✊🏼
Fantastic video but You don't have to "spread them out" ... simple run lets say the very top drop OVER the rest of them and bring it down to where you need to the floor. The human subject is not 8ft are they? Don't need no 2x4s
True, but it also depends on the focal length and subject distance! If you want to shoot side, you’ll need a much larger backdrop, or even just if shooting with distance
radically simple and perfect for the job!
I have been trying to solve this problem for a month and I'm shookt how simple the solution is. Thanks so much for sharing!!
I was trying to engineer some crazy solution, but this is exactly what I need but way simpler and cheaper. Thank you!
Lmfao me too omg
Amazing!!! Thank you for sharing
The perfect video I was looking for... Thank you.
best idea on the subject i've found so far. good job mate!
Perfect solution! Thanks!!

I'd put it through the hook through the tud to prevent it from ever leaning downward period. Good call!
I'd like to see you add more. I have little space too and need to be able to put 3 together.
Awesome
Thank you!

great video,
BTW what microphone are you using?
Answer me please.
Hi, I was looking to do this exactly, would you mind sharing the brakets u used to hold the rod please?
What are the lights that you are using? Can you provide a link?
How do you roll the backdrop back up? Just manually reach up and roll?

Why have a backdrop if youre not going to use it in your videos
For photos…
speach: volume 50 music:volume 100 :(
lol telling someone who JUST went to home depot to hand turn a hook into a stud is kind of stupid
