In the Insurrection scene, the trill officer, Ensign Perrim made the most erotic look what I ever seen in my whole life in a tv show.❤ Its very sad, the actress, Stephanie Niznik is passed away a few years ago.😢
I wonder if someone could edit the shaky cam out of Discovery so that it looks like a regular show. Unfortunately, it would still be Discovery, just slightly more watchable.🤗
Yeah, calling it "genius" is a bridge too far. Ill give credit to Sulu and Riker for being good tacticians, but the tactic is so simple even Odo can come up with it. Not to diss him, but he is absolutely not skilled in spacecraft operation, piloting or space combat and tactics thereof, its just not in his skillset, so every tactic he comes up with plays out in the realm of what he can do, and even on a runabout with lots of automation, assistance systems, voice commands etc. he can only do so much. And Tilly coming up with the same tactic is somehow genius. Like nobody else figured out that shooting something explosive near an enemy blows them up.
Why would the Discovery bother to ignite the plasma? Just transport the flamethrowers from the Discovery bridge into the enemy fighters: fried enemies.
I love on the older ones they say what they are going to do without a massive explanation. Like they thought we were smart enough to understand or something. Then there is Discovery.
That line about it going down in history as the Riker maneuver is one of the worst in Star Trek history. Sometimes it's shocking what makes it past the cutting room floor.
@@Lukas-Trnka Because it sounds really unnatural and cringey. It comes off like the kind of thing the writer will have a character say just to try and impress the audience rather it being something a person would really say. @@NearlyH3adlessNick One of the greatest moments of Kubrick's cinematic genius happens in 2001 A Space Odyssey. Explosive bolts blast an astronaut from a space pod into a spaceship's emergency entrance. It is a violent action scene, but it happens in outer space so it happens in ... total silence!!!
2:28 - This also doesn't make sense as a command structure: the weapons officer should say immediately what was the impact (as Worf did in TNG), and not wait for a question. For dramatic effect he might be too emotional to speak, but this was not the case here, and so Tilly again is the genius... & the only one on the bridge.
The Royale. Not a well liked episode (I always liked it), but the mystery there in a under an hour episode was done better than any modern Trek mystery.* It even leaves it partially a mystery, as we never know the alien race that created the place. *Hyperbole, but...
Kolvoord Starburst should be mandatory training for all cadets. They all must be practicing on their off time. Should be fired from starfleet for using a banned maneuver.
Pitty the alien with boobs is not in video. I didn't watch the video. I made a pause. I moved fast the cursor on timeline just to see if there is a thumbnail with boobs. Seeing later that doesn't exist I closed the video with a click on dislike. We know it doesn't exist but you could add it with a AI small clip of few seconds.
Can you post scenes from the Star Wars series The Acolyte? You don't even have to edit it, just post raw footage I just want to read the regular commenters here ripping the show. Star Wars finally has its own STD!
IMO Star Trek Movies ruined Star Trek the series. Forget all the DEI stuff, that was just nail in the coffin, it was the attempt to make Star Trek into a home cinema experience that failed to show and the fans.
The movies were not bad, but it is true Star Trek doesn't really work well on a big screen. Unfortunatelly, the studio executives wanted to have their own answer to Star Wars movies.
@@Lukas-Trnka No I enjoyed many of the movies as well, my point is future directors and producers took the wrong message from that, believing there was a place for Star Trek movies off of the silver screen. There is a place, it's just a niche place and the DEI stuff did not help either.

I honestly expected this to be several minutes of stepping over chairs...
Yep, that's what I thought too.
I will do that compilation too one day
Same! All that's missing is a screenshot of this post, and Kevin Sorbo yelling "DISAPPOINTED!" XD
He’s not stepping over them. He’s mounting them.
@@MajorGrin Bring back The Riker Show!
This is all wrong. The Riker maneuver is when you step over a chair with one stretched leg to sit down on it.
While penetrating Counselor Troi at the same time....
As commented upon by Miss Jen Murray (youtube movie reviewer)
I love how no other advanced starship building race seems to be aware of flammable elements in space...
Yeah, they never noticed that space has an oxygen atmosphere.
It works for both sides when you fight in the Briar Patch in _STO_ . And I imagine other games.
Maybe they just don’t think like humans, lol.
at least now that star trek discovery is over those poor camera operators can finally start to get treatment for their Parkinson's disease.
Remember: Multimegaton antimatter warheads are basically just firecrackers compared to a fog of fuel and oxidizer.
You won the best thumbnail contest

Considering his comment, that has to be intentional...
She wanted Riker to shove something down her throat.😉
yeah she wanted the D and I don't mean the Enterprise
I thought at first it was going to be Riker and all of the women he has . . . uh . . . ''Maneuvered''. 🤣😂
They only had one when he talks about the Sonas.
Call it the perfect storm... of self-satisfaction.
When Riker said he'd welcome death when it comes, I was waiting for an explosion, followed by the shot of him dead in Yesterday's Enterprise.
I wonder if someone could edit the shaky cam out of Discovery so that it looks like a regular show. Unfortunately, it would still be Discovery, just slightly more watchable.🤗
Quoting The Royale.. deep cut, that cuts deep
Enjoying their own farts. So graphic, but funny.
1:26 Stephanie Niznik, RIP
I had written the same comment, now deleted. She was great on the E bridge!
I didn't realize the Wraith from Rogue Planet escaped and joined Starfleet.
That was quite the look she gave Riker. RIP, Stephanie.

That bit at the end with Disco loving the smell of their own farts.... perfection.
I must have missed the lecture on states of plasma detonation.
The ending sums it all up 😂😂😂😂
The two random new helmsmen. One Latin and one Black.
just coincidence I'm sure.
Also was thinking the other Riker Maneuver... leg over chair.
Was looking for Picard gasping "Ignite the plasma" in the TNG "The First Duty" episode during STD's clip.
Me as well!
The Riker Man-Hoover, lighting your own farts on fire. Too bad it singes off your glorious beard.
Sir, the Enterprise seems to be discharging some of the local gas directly in our path. Orders?
Fly directly towards it, firing as we go!
Love that you referenced The Royale. I wish we could all walk out of that revolving door and back to normal.
1:27 drip, drip, drip 💧
The 2nd Riker maneuver: putting his foot on every console/station
That means sitting down by putting one leg over the back of a chair makes THREE Riker manoeuvres!
Well, at least the Cylon remembered history.
Thumbnail had me howling
Why would the Discovery bother to ignite the plasma? Just transport the flamethrowers from the Discovery bridge into the enemy fighters: fried enemies.
I thought the Riker maneuver was throwing an Asteroid at a ship.
2:35 😂 Perfect
I love on the older ones they say what they are going to do without a massive explanation.
Like they thought we were smart enough to understand or something.
Then there is Discovery.
I expected all kind of people stepping over chairs in this video

Why? It is not meant to be a factual statement. It's just a casual comment between friends. I think it's ok.

LMAO. Now I can finally get closure after watching three entire seasons of STD. Kudos sir.
2:00 Star Trek: Epilepsy.
Fortunately we didn't have to die for discovery to end.
Fire in space...
Yeah, it's so tiresome at this point.
Probably looks better. Otherwise just be a big ball of energy and that's it. Oh and let's make it silent the battles.
@@TheCaptainSplatter I want silent space battles...
I mean, score can still be a thing? Just don't need explosion sounds lol

Hahah, the Riker clip at the end!
The Riker maneuver id hoping onto a chair while it is backwards.
I don't know much about the explosive gas in the Voyager clip, but
I know that Fluorine is a highly corrosive gas.
Still amazed to see new footage from a show that was canceled after Season 2 😆
That last scene hits different now.
In the End, even after seven years, that poor hyperactive Discovery-Cameraman never got his Ritalin… 😔
no shields can save the bad guys from the Beard maneuver. it's like fire to them :)
I truly and happily welcomed Death when it came for discovery. 😊 In fact I ushered it in enthusiastically.
1:24 she seemed... interested.
In Riker shoving something down her throat no doubt.
That "It's genius" line made me cringe. Glad you called it out.
Nice South Park touch at the end 😂
When it works, it works
That ending was perfect 😂😂😂
...yes, it's the classic plot armour/get out of trouble card when facing overwhelming odds.
Some of the discovery officers need a fitness workout.
Checked out of Discovery during season one. Love watching these vids as away of reminding myself how lucky I’ve been.
Self-Gratification
think your confused, theres no chairs here
It is always reassuring when the woman who comes up with a dangerous plan sounds like a valley girl when explaining it 😂

The visuals in the TNG movies >>>>
The STD clip fked it all up.
oh my god Tilly is bigger in every clip I see of her
if STD went a couple more seasons they'd have to upgrade the turbolifts
I’m very disappointed by this, not at all the chair overstepping that I thought it would be
Would Sulu even know what gasoline is?
Why not. I also know what a steam engine is and how it works. Gasoline is quite a big thing in human history.
damn that ensigns looks at riker... it should have been me :D
That's not the maneuver I was expecting...
As in a true Star Trek thing, the maneuver is named after the last person to use it

I've got to ask, why are there flamethrowers on the discovery bridge? What happened to a good old rock to the face?
That left side of the thumbnail...
ZOOM ZAP POW BANG !
Thought this was going to be 3 minutes of backwards chair sitting
kinda ridiculous that shields cant handle fire

IS that thumbnail real?
Funny, calling out it's genius doesn't feel so genius.
as bad as InsErection was it's still a million times better than the Trek they are making now
Grin, what's with the provocative thumbnail pictures?
Sorry what the HELL is that thumbnail>>
right???🤣
Looks like the head of a Benzite on the body of Doctor Carol Marcus
Eehehheh!
😅😅😅

Savior of the Universe.
Federation is now part of Emperor Ming’s Fleet…
Admiral is too much like Flash Gordon...😂
Isn't it a bit rude to interrupt the person who got the idea and explain it instead of them? It's like trying to steal the credit.

No. Thats code of honor
