- It's time to repaint over this mural in my office for a fresh (easier to film against) look and I'm so excited to take you along for the process. I'll be sharing some of my tips for painting a mural on your wall, some of the mistakes that I made and my favorite supplies for mural painting. I hope you find this video helpful and encouraging as you tackle your own indoor wall mural-be sure to leave any questions that you have in the comments and I'll do my best to answer them.

Oh I’m glad you like it! I’ve brainstormed many murals but rarely have the courage or motivation to paint them. You have to remember that it’s only paint and very easy to cover and start over 😊
They are both beautiful and so different from each other. I prefer the first one but again they are both gorgeous. You’re so talented!
You’re not alone! I still miss the old wall from time to time even though I’m happy with the new one. Those large blooms were just hard to beat!

I’m glad that was helpful! I honestly went back and forth with including it, but I think it’s important to know that I still try and fail at things too! Every good idea/painting has a few bad ideas/paintings behind it that don’t get time in the light. That’s supposed to happen! But sometimes we forget :)

Oh thank you! You just made my day-it happened by accident for me-I was playing around on the wall before painting it and found it surprisingly easy! It’s more of a mental hurdle than a skill issue

Both murals are beautiful! I like your loose flowy style. Do you seal your murals? If so, do you recommend a certain product?
I don’t seal it! It’s regular wall paint, so pretty secure. Also, my kids aren’t in my office a ton so no crazy traffic or mess, hah
Oh, thank you so much for getting back to me so quickly!! The mural I painted is in a Realtors office and will be used as a "backdrop" for photo opportunity and hence will see quite a bit of action. I have surfed the big wide web and now am completely overwhelmed in what to use 😆

I suppose if you found something that you liked on a stencil, then yes! But if you can paint on paper, you can paint on a wall-if there’s something you would like to have on your wall! Practice a few times on large scrap paper or newspaper and then try the wall!

Beautiful painting, but may I ask - did you use acrylic paint for the soft brown?
I did not! I used regular wall paint for all of the colors! I always use traditional interior wall paint for my (interior) murals because I figure it is designed to be used for that surface (and I want them to last!)
