Pay attention to whenever he gets a part of his body back from a demon it’s usually associated with something really sad. For instance when he got his feeling back all he felt was pain and now he got back his hearing and the first thing he hears is a women crying.
The first thing he heard was the rain, the he heard the women crying. Can you imagine hearing for the first time and immediately being overwhelmed by the sound of a lot of rain?
The sword in this episode is based off a legend surrounding swords made by a swordsmith named muramasa. Muramasa was said to be erratic and prone to lashing out at people, rumors started that his swords were cursed. One of the legends says that once you unsheath a muramasa sword, it can't be sheathed again until it's tasted blood. Muramasa swords were actually banned by shōgun Tokugawa ieyasu because he, his father, and his grandfather all had bad experiences with those swords
Sadly False, Tokugawa actually favored muramasa swords and nearly everyone one of their family and vassals under them used them. the myth your speaking about came about in 1787 with later generations of Tokugawa came to make myths about the swords, Tokugawa Jikki in 1849 which tells a legend that Ieyasu regarded Muramasa as cursed items and banned them from his family was entirely fabricated since the swords are still heirlooms of the family to this day, and the fact leyasu and his descendants used them exclusively.
Damn, i only knew Muramasa because in bleach's zanpaktou rebellion arc, the Mastermind of that arc was a zanpaktou sword named muramasa and he also had the power to control and make go berserk other zanpaktous
@@steves578 Matsudaira Kiyoyasu, grandfather of Ieyasu, was mistakenly killed by his own vassal Abe Masatoyo with a Muramasa. Ieyasu's father Matsudaira Hirotada was also stabbed with a Muramasa by Iwamatsu Hachiya, who lost his mind by excessive drinking. When Ieyasu's first son Matsudaira Nobuyasu was forced to commit suicide (seppuku), his beheader (kaishakunin) Amagata Michitsuna used a Muramasa. So yeah, the legend of them being exquisite yet cursed blades is not *just* a legend, they had a well-earned reputation of misfortune.
@@Manilove223 Regular citizens didn’t have that haircut. Samurai shaved the top of their heads so that their helmets wouldn’t slip. Roman Emperor Tiberius killed a man who discovered bendable glass due to his fears of having gold and silver replaced for this new thing, so its not too far off.
This episode reminds me of katanagatari for some way. It has a simple straight story with a twist at the end. The artstyle is pretty simple as well, but the great animation makes up for it .
Possible is tha it was written 50 years ago when show really didnt need to be filled with plot twists, simple a straight forward Watching this show now is a fresh senses to my anime palate
I really like the way they bring back hyakkimarus senses/body. First thing he hears when he gets his hearing back is the crying of the sister of the man he just cut down, first thing he felt when he got his nerves back was pain.
This Sword is literally Muramasa from Bleach. in bleach's zanpaktou rebellion arc, the Mastermind of that arc was a zanpaktou sword named muramasa and he also had the power to control and make go berserk other zanpaktou swords
Samurai cut their hair that way because when wearing their helmets it would be cooler. The top knot was used to create a place for the helmet to rest. People copied the hairstyle because they admired Samurai. Sumo wrestlers use that type of hairstyle today.

Fun fact: Dororo was the creation of the Father of Manga Osamu Tezuka back in 1969, and re-adapted in 2019. although the series is only A one and done series and no follow up novel, manga and anime was made for season 2
Fun fact murumasa were blacksmiths, they made swords and their swords were suppose to be the sharpest and best made, they got a bad rep tho cuz of what some guys did, regardless the swords were incredible and soldiers wanted them for being so good, bc of the bad rep it made some interesting folklore
Human beings no matter their sins, the flames would remain white... but as the story progresses y'all will see the difference in certain human flames considering their actions/sins.
just finished this anime and i gotta say, the story is super interesting but the ending and the last few episodes just feel rushed and unfulfilling.. won't spoil but just didn't like how they rushed the conclusion and made characters act differently for the sake of wrapping up the show.. maybe its just me but was pretty disappointed
from what I've heard it's because the original manga was cancelled, but Tezuka still wanted to give it an ending of sorts and that's the ending we got for both anime and manga. I guess the adaptation wanted to stay true to that ending, even though it is unfulfilling.
To be fair, they had to squeeze a lot in a short runtime. Although I did like that they cut the original 40+ demons to 12 so that it works better for the re-adaptation
I had the same issues with this series. You can tell that they didn't have that big of a budget behind them and it does suffer in the later half for it.
I'm so happy they're watching dororo Wish they would watch more old, great and underrated animes like Noragami Kuroko no basket Moriarty the Patriot Kabaneri of iron fortress Serius the jaegar Appare Ranman Seraph of the end And many more...
