I have to say, this is the most beautiful live performance I've ever seen. The vocals, the instrumental, but most of all the STAGE AND LIGHTING. Props to all the people who set it up, because it was absolutely gorgeous.

They performed it live only one time in 2017 at the Hollywood Palladium in LA (and ironically had some trouble with the performance's rights) until they performed it again (two times) at the 10 BABYMETAL Budokan shows in February 2021. And it's really amazing: the visuals, Su belting those notes... everything! I'm pretty comfortable with this song since I listened so much dream trance music back in the 90's... yeah, don't ask :)
Up untill the Budokan shows this was only performed once live . On there US tour at the Palladium Hollywood California 2017 . Love Su's vocals and Moa's harmonies are great just wish Yui had been there because Yui's and Moa's harmonies together and Su's vocals it was amazing . Great & thanks again from Japan 有難う💛。As other viewers commented, "From Dusk Till Dawn" has been performed only 3 times to date. Once in USA in 2017 and twice in Tokyo in 2021. It means only American fans had been privileged to have experienced it live for 4 years. On February 16 last year, when the intro. started, everyone at the venue was firstly shocked and gradually god excited understanding what was going to happen. At the end of the song, however, I got confused with what I witnessed because it was too surprising and mesmerizing. So did other audiences. On the following day (Feb.17), the audiences knew that the setlist would remain the same and came to the venue knowing FDTD would be played again. Once this song started many of them (including me) just stared at the stage without moving as if they were trying to burn the performance into their retinas. Su-Metal did it perfectly. "In the air !" Divine voice. And Moa and Momoko did perfect choreo like angels smoothly dancing around the goddess. Oh! I actually saw and listened to it twice for sure but still "was it real?"

This song is currently my number 1 song from Babymetal for various reasons: the vocals, the sound, instrumentation, Moa's vocals, the lights, everything is just incredible. I was so glad to see it being performed last year at the 10 Budokan shows and it still gives me goosebumps today.
It is an absolutely fantastic song! Definitely up there! I wouldn’t want it to be favourite though due to the region lock thing. I’ll just have to enjoy it every now and again 😅

When the music started, some Japanese fans thought it was a new BabyMetal song, because BabyMetal had never performed this song in Japan before this concert, so it took a second for the fans to think it was FDTD, and then everyone was very Excited. After the concert everyone continued to talk about this amazing performance.
⚡ 💀 💕 / 🌅 I was at the Hollywood Palladium concert for the world premiere of this song back in 2017. More importantly, also in the audience that night were Su's Mom and Dad. Would have loved to see one of the two Budokan 2021 performances. They took it to a new level. Even though they had a full camera crew, apparently there were rights issues that prevented the pro-shot footage from the Palladium concert from being released. Fortunately we now have pro footage from one of the 2021 Budokan concerts, even if it's only included on the most expensive, "THE ONE" fanclub only complete edition. 'From Dusk Till Dawn' was on the international edition of the second album, 'Metal Resistance'. The domestic (Japanese) edition had 'Syncopation' instead.
I was dead set on getting the Complete Edition just so I could have FDTD until I saw the price. Talk about a gut punch! "Settled" for the Limited Edition which still nearly killed my wallet, lol.
This song has been out for a while, but this is like only the second time it was ever performed.... Great thing about this version (aside from ABSOLUTELY EVERYTHING), is that it has settled the long time debate as to the lyrics... Was it "in the air" or "in the end".... IN THE END FOR DA WIN!!! Great reaction ... I think the info about the single previous performance and lack of a pro-shot video have already been provided. The production at the Budokan 2021 was completely off the scale and their delivery of the song - absolutely sublime. Until this we had to make do with fancam videos from the Hollywood Palladium performance - there is a very well made compilation from the best of those on oimatsu0531's channel if you are curious.
Thank you! It took a bit of hunting to actually find some of these videos because I wanted to make sure I found the high quality ones. I probably would have checked that compilation out otherwise. BABYMETAL Reactors Resource came in clutch though!
@@djentleeReacts Yes the Babymetal Reactor Resource is by far the best place to look for videos. Compilations have their place and serve a purpose, but some are really bad, so having good, full live performance videos available is such a good thing. Before the Budokan we had no pro-shot video for this song at all - the compilation I mentioned was the best option until then.
"From Dusk Till Dawn" was performed at Budokan in "Doomsday III and IV" on 16th and 17th Feb 2021. It was part of the "10 Babymetal" concerts to celebrate 10 years of Babymetaldom. It's also the location for the special recording of "The One" before the three metal spirits of BM were sealed; definitely Su-metal and Moametal as they are climbing the stairs to "Bedfordshire" and presumably Yuimetal as well. I listen to this when I want to chill. BM had to cover electronic minimalism/goth angst...this reminds me of Eno and The Cure so it has to be good.
That light show was absolutely gorgeous! The only thing that's missing nowadays is the interaction with the Kami Band: since they are wearing masks, why cannot see anymore their funny faces and all the interaction they did before! And they also almost stopped doing instrumental intros....
@@djentleeReacts The masks is probably because of the Galactic Empire guys that play as the Kami Band of the west, but about the intro.... I don't think it's for more songs, since it doesn't look like there is a tendency for them to do more songs nowadays! I cheked, their last 10 shows they did 13 songs, and if we take Tokyo Dome as an example, they did 12 and 13 songs the 2 days! At Yokohama 2015 and Hiroshima 2017 they even did 16 songs... I hope is not something like they were afraid the band was getting too much spotlight away from the girls :\
