I am a Greek who happened to live in America many decades ago, I had a Turk neighbor in my age. We became best friends with our families. Living together in a country that is on the other side of the globe, it really bonded us that our countries are neighbors from the same spot in the world. We had many things in common (culturaly), we understood each other more than any other foreigner or american. He helped me and I helped him in time of need, and we always invited each other in our celebrations (even religious ones). When you live together on another part of the world where our political problems do not exist, Greeks and Turks are best friends.
I (a Turk) live in America and some of the very first people I made friends with were Greeks. Still going strong. I had known that we have many similarities but I realized I wasn't even close to how much. So many words we share for instance. My Italian and Greek friends and I sometimes make jokes of Americans about how much colder they are compared to Mediterranean cultures.

Feel free to have him as best friend. None will stop you and I'm happy for you. We Greeks are free to do whatever. However, DO NOT EVER speak for all of us. You're not the HEGEMON OF THE GREEKS. Speak for yourself, only. Turks are not and won't ever be our "best friends". The issue is not only political. Greeks are Europeans who have nothing in common with the non-European Turks. Only 2-3 recipes. Even those, they're made differently. You've lost touch with your motherland. Greece has moved on, especially since 1979-81 when we joined the European Union. We follow all the laws and directives of the Brussels. This made us similar to Italians and Spaniards, only. Turks move forward, backwards. Currently, they're a Theocracy. What possibly common ground can we have with them? It's absurd. Only the distance and the fact you live side by side made you friends. It could very well be another neighbor of yours with the same results, especially given the fact we Greeks are open-hearted, hospitable people, unlike the close-minded Turks.
@@mcdtubes We don't share words anymore. When you killed or expelled the Greeks from Constantinople of Smyrna, those back then brought some. Now, they're all gone. They've been replaced completely by Greek words. You know, we've got the richest lexicon in the world with 5 million words and 75 million world-types. The only "common" we Greeks have with the Turks is delusionally in the mind of those who went in the other side of the globe and lost touch completely with their homeland.

I married a Turkish woman. I myself was born in Canada to Greek parents. We met when we were very young. In those days there was some animosity between cultures in Canada. Today attitudes have changed and people realize we have more in common than you can ever imagine. I love the Turkish people. I think we share so much love for music and food. We have literally thousands of words in common. Our foods are shared by both cultures. We lived together for hundreds of years in Asia Minor and in Greece during the Ottoman Empire. I would encourage peace, love and harmony between our countries. Be kind to one another. Sometimes our leaders forget this but we can change how people think.
I am Turkish and my wife is Greek and I can agree that the culture is really similar and we didn’t have any cultural difficulties. At first my parents and her parents weren’t so fond of our marriage, but after some time they bonded with each other.
Through my career I’ve worked with many Turks and they’ve left me with a very positive impression. They’re educated, friendly and warm people. Would love to see friendlier relations between our governments. Also my aunt was Turkish and I absolutely loved her and she loved me too

Any Greeks or Turks that dislike each other simply because of their nationality have probably never really met people from said countries. I’m Turkish and my husband is Greek from Australia. Through him I’ve met many Greeks. Some of the older generation were real turkophobes until they met me, a Turk. Experiencing firsthand the similarities in our values, respect towards the elderly, hospitality and warmth, it’s always been too easy to win them over immediately. Same with my husband, at first, some of my more conservative/religious relatives weren’t too fond of the idea of me marrying an “outsider”. Seeing how well he blended in with his looks, values and personality, he’s been the favourite in-law ever since we married 23 years ago. If it wasn’t for our daughters’ school, he would move to Türkiye in a heartbeat.
I love the Greek people and the culture. I lived in Sydney and have had dozens of Greek friends and two Greek girlfriends. Their families showed warmth and love towards me and being a Turk presented no problem for them. We should all embrace each other and concentrate on our humanistic feelings and show tolerance to each other. Love to all Greeks from Turkey.

Greeks of the former Byzantine Empire. Those people referred to themselves as Romans rather than Byzantines, and when the Ottomans took over, that's what they continued to call themselves.
@@EasyGreekVideos In fact, the first Turkish empire in Anatolia (Turkey) was called the Seljuk Sultanate of Rum - the Seljuks being a large Turkic middle eastern empire and Rum referring to modern day Rome i.e. Byzantine. The founders of the Ottoman Empire migrated from what is now Mary in Turkmenistan to what is now northwestern Turkey in the 12th century.

As a Turkish living in the U.S, I went to a restaurant named Mandolin in Miami, Florida. The restaurant is extremely successful, we waited 40 minutes to get in. It has the Aegean Turkey / Greece vibe with completely white structure and blue table, turquoise colors etc. So, I am trying to figure out if owner is Greek or Turkish :) The menu is not cheap, and it has both Greek and original Turkish food names - that only a Turkish speaking person would know. But, there is no Ayran, a Turkish drink, but an extensive wine selection. I know that 80% of Turkish restaurants would steer away from having alcohol in the menu. Normally, I would figure out right away if a restaurant is Greek or Turkish owned. In this case, I could not! The black waiter (lol) referred to it as it is Turkish food. But the menu has Greek named items that, our usual kebab-cooking people would have no idea about! So, I figured the waiter doesn`t know shit! I walked around the restaurant - they made it like an open garden restaurant that you can find in Mykonos or Bodrum- people were taking pictures in front of restaurant. It looked like you arrived to Greece or Western Turkey. And I saw several direct import food items from Greece. So, I finally asked another waiter. Answer was, owners are a Turkish husband and a Greek wife! :-) Food was amazing!

Remove nationalistic ideas from your head and start thinking about people and you'll realize that you have absolutely nothing to hate about the 'other' country, whichever country that is. This also includes criticizing both their politics AND your own country's political behavior.
I guess you don't know the meaning of nationalism and racism. Prejudices lead peoples to wrong conclusions. Let me explain it on this occasion, so that you can learn so that you do not continue to draw wrong conclusions. The origin of the words nation and nationalism is Arabic. It comes from the Arabic root mll. milla - millet. It means race. The origin of the too words race and racism is Turkish. It comes from the Turkish root ır - race - uruk. The meaning of this too word is race. Of course, these are their English equivalents. Although the meaning of both words is the same, nationalism and racism are completely different from each other. nationalism; Its aim is to make its own nation materially and spiritually superior to other nations. As Mustafa Kemal Atatürk said, it is the aim and effort to raise your race to the level of advanced civilizations or even higher. Racism is the exact opposite of this. It means to despise, oppress and bully other races other than your own. In other words, nationalism is a beautiful thing and certainly does not have a bad purpose. The real bad thing is not nationalism, but racism. You may not like to hear this, but the best definition of racism to date has been made by the prophet of Islam. he says exactly like this. Racism means persecuting people from your own nation. We have adopted this definition and do not care about the global definition of racism. but the main thing is this. In order not to be racist, you first need to know who is or is not a member of your own race. This is harder to know than not to be racist. I advise you to be careful next time before giving advice to anyone...
There isn't a single instance in history where someone with nationalistic ideas avoided being oppressive to someone else. Naive people think it is romantic to care about your nation but reality is different. What you are talking about is Patriotism. Nationalistic ideas ALWAYS lead to oppression, wars and racism. It has happened before and it happens right now with the large amounts of refugees going into European countries. Right-wing parties are on the rise because they advocate this fake patriotism where your country stands alone and proud. Noone of them mentions that for this to happen you have to pushback and oppress other groups of people that want to find a home/work in your country. There is absolutely NO way to be nationalistic and not oppress some 'enemy' group. @@onurcan8434
As a Turk, i believe that the current problems that both nations have with each other are because of their governments mostly. There are mostly chill people in both nations

Ben 71 yaşındayım. Yunanistana 2 defa gittim.
Amazing topic ! Turkey is so beautiful country... so good culture, songs , tastes, people, films. One day I will visit this country... I want only peace. My grandmother leaved in ismir and the 1922 she left I have listen so many stories and we had friends from turkey. Thank you for this video! With love from Greece ❤

@@spider_traps you think his opinions matter? he is an old man who allied with a party which he blamed for years and according to polls his own party won't even make it into the parliement in the next elections. but as a turkish nationalist i agree with the original poster. loving your country doesn't mean you should hate people whose ancestors opposed your's in the past. i wasn't involved in any of those wars. greeks killed my grandmother's parents when they were fleeing from skopje to edirne in early 20'th century. i don't believe the people responsible for that are still alive. why should i hate a whole nation because of that? it's plain stupid.
@@sickturret3587 I read and understand everything you write to me. However in your analysis, you do not go deeper and you see them very superficially. (I hope without deceit). The one you call an old man is still the leader of a regime (not a democracy). The issue of Turkey's hostility to ALL neighboring countries and especially to Greece is not current, but it lasts for many, many hundreds of years. So why do you think that something has changed today, even after the tragically unacceptable and unhistorical behavior of the Turkish leadership and a very large part of the Turkish people? Which politician do you think would be suitable to make Turkey a normal and just state? (if you want you answer because in your country it is a bit dangerous to have an opinion). For the last part of your point of view, I would tell you that what you are doing is called "logical fallacies" and is the same tactic used by both Hitler and Mussolini. In other words, you consider that he who liberates and protects the family, his people and his land is on the same level with the one who is a murderer, rapist and thief.
@@spider_traps wait, are you saying ottomans (who were an empire) that had an expansionist policy as did all empires in history is the core of how turkish people feel with others today? it would be like me saying people from athens today hate people from corinth. and no, majority of turkey doesn't feel hostility towards majority of our current neighbours. most of us dislike armenia, because of their stance, some dislike greece while a majority are fond of them. majority love azerbaijan and we are mostly indefferent against others. your arguement is not valid.
As a Greek I made friends from Turkey when I was living in Scandinavia.Up there , people were cold , Greeks and Turks , on the other hand , are warm Mediterranean people
So true - I had Danish flatmates, and Gosh, that was the most freezing experience in my life... I came to loathe them and all Scandinavians ever since. Imagine - they once had a tea party at home - Scandinavians only - and I was not invited. Not even for a cup of tea. In our own home!! I sat in my room all alone.. They don't care for people of the South. They were racists, snobbish, rude.. and I could go on and on.. I would rather eat rocks here than live with this kind of people.. Hope you left the damned place!!
Your government has opened camps in Greece for the PKK terrorist organization that killed 40 thousand of our people. Fetö terrorist organization, which carried out a coup d'etat against our state and caused the death of 250 people, is hosted in Greece. The islands, whose sovereignty is not given to you by any agreement, are equipped with heavy weapons. hold the ordinary people's state accountable. otherwise war between us will be inevitable
The people of these two countries need to come into more contact with each other in order for both sides to conclude to the fact that we are all the same. We are all humans with the same needs who can coexist peacefully.
I am Greek and i have 3 friends that are from Turkey. Other than some cultural differences, i do not see anything else to make us seem different. Recently, i served my time in the military and i had people make jokes about taking back cities that belonged to someone in the past. People really only made jokes. No one wants war or hate. Only lunatics and people that would see benefit in war, would want conflict. Had i seen a Turkish soldier in my time in the military? Would feel like i would see a reflection of myself. Was only there to serve my time and move on, no hard feelings for things in the past. Conflict only hurts both participants. Love to all people, Greek, Turkish, everyone. Do not spread conflict, thank you :)
The first man with the earring sounds really civilised and eloquent. I do not speak Turkish but it sounds like he's speaking really coherently and elegantly. I know that is NOT the average Turk but even so, he looks like a gentleman.
All the pain is the history now and we should learn from it.. Our main duty on both sides is now to avoid a war... A Hellenic mother cries the same like a Turkish mother, when she lost a child. If we want to be good children to our parents Hellenic or Turkish we should not make them cry. Greetings to my Turkish sisters and brothers!
generally old people and people who haven't been to the other country, and who don't know anyone from the other country, give a negative answers. In fact, what they fear (or dont like) is not turks or greeks, but the feeling of "not knowing". they don't even know each other. normally the two peoples are almost exactly the SAME. The positive response of young people increases our hopes for the future. long live the brotherhood of peoples. turkish and greek friendship❤
@@jackie5918 Yes, this is our actual opinion. As a Turk, I am not an enemy to the Greeks, nor do we have any grudges. The two countries I hate are Armenians and Arabs. We have no problems with the Greeks.
As a Greek, i visited Turkey back in 2009, and since then another 3 times. I always had a great time, people there were very hospitable and friendly, i want to get back soon Now, as for how close the two peoples are, i would say that they have things in common, but as i noticed, differences are a lot more than similarities: Mentality: both are "warm", but Turks are a lot more emotional, Greeks are more "comfortable", but Turks more "relaxed". Turkish mentality is "not suspicious at all", Greeks are a lot more suspicious. The Greek stereotype of Turkish mentality is that they are "agathoi" (good people but not "suspicious"/"cunning") Habits: here are many differences: Turks vastly drink tea, Greeks vastly drink coffee (mainly a Greek coffee called frappe, and foreign like espresso). Turks almost never (in the past never) drink wine, Greeks mainly drink wine, Turks rather drink raki, a drink which resembles Balkan rakija and levantine arak. They also drink a lot of ayran. Greeks have no idea what this thing is. Some Turks eat on the floor. The only case Greeks Would eat on the ground would be on a pick nick in the countryside. Greeks prefer dogs, Turks cats. Greeks keep shoes on when visiting a foreign house, Turks remove their shoes in such occasions Music: part of music is identical, part of music is nothing alike. The music of anatolian Greeks is identical to Turkish. Both are a blend of Byzantine, Central asian and Arabic music. Greeks of mainland have a vastly different music, intermediate to Balkan and italian. Greeks of Ionian islands have purely Italian. Cuisine: Turks dont seem to love pork, and have a love for spicy food. Greeks consume pork more than any kind of meat, and rarely like spicy food. Greeks also have a very old pasta tradition, nearly equal to Italian. Turkey has no more pasta than manti ans eriste, both resembling central asian instead of south European pasta. This is not that visible in touristic cuisine, but a lot visible in traditional cuisine Architecture: Turkish architecture is the ottoman vernacular house. Greece has this type only in Northern mainland regions. Southern Greece and Greek islands architecture is similar to Southern European (Italian Spanish) with no Ottoman influence Language: Greek language is a centum (Western) indoeuropean language with "Spanish" sounds, and 60-70% of its foreign loanwords being latin, Turkish is an altaic language As a whole, Greeks are a European nation with limited Oriental influences (and we are not the only, at least all Iberians, Maltese, South Italians, and to a higher extend south Balkaners are European nations with oriental influences). Turks are a blend of central asian, caucasian and persian civilization, with some levantine influence
@@vasilikikakara3092 No. The two drinks (Turkish raki and Greek tsipouro) are irrelevant, at least by taste, with only thing in common being that they are destilled. The only drink resembling Greek tsipouro is Italian grappa, and many people in Northern Greece call tsipouro "grappa" as well Plus, tsipouro is regional, in Northern Mainland Greece. Greeks of Southern Greece and the islands do not have it in their tradition

I am a Greek-American living in Vienna. 4 years ago i met a girl so kind and beautiful , which i loved (with a brotherly love) right away. She seemed an amazing person and we hanged out a bit. 3 years ago this beauty came into our family circle when she got married my brother in-law. I'm very happy that both of them have respect for each others religion (She is Muslim and He is Christian), and they are the living proof of when there is love , nothing can stand on your way. I met her family (which now is also my family) and the love i received from their side and also the one we gave to them is unbelievable. If you take out of the way the Religion (for which we have to have respect no matter if isn't ours) , we are the exact same people. So greetings and lots of love to our brothers and sisters in Turkey , and hold on at this difficult financial moment.
That means that religion is seperating the people mostly, tradition you can accept. But the people are triggered by the inivisible religions created by Humans. I respect Country and History! And i'm a Great patriot but i don't like when we mix the religion inside. We are going forward in the future so we must think clear and with facts. Americans have touched the moon without any religion, religious practice, nor some religious tradition and preaching.
I am sorry to say this to you but her marriage as a muslim woman to a christian man is null and forbiden in her religion that the least hurtful sentence that i can use from islamic point of view, so technically she is not a muslim or let say she is just culturaly attributed to muslim community because if she were she would not marry any man not muslim, but the other way can be in islamic point of view meaning a muslim man can marry a christian woman or a jewish woman (just from this two religions ) with conditions like her believing realy in God not just rised as christian but in reality she is an atheist

@@joannaheart8167 Thanks for the lovely words on Turks, Greeks, etc, but both me and my Greek friend are here by choice. I'm not gonna say much on the "Scandinavians" considering Finland and Finnish people are not part of Scandinavia (a very common misconception). I love Finland, and I love how honest people are here, I have so many Finnish friends and even my second family here who are Finnish. I am sorry if you happened to have bad experiences with the people here, I had so many bad experiences with people from my own country but I don't believe in generalizing. I understand you don't try to be mean to me, but maybe consider that not all people share the same idea as yourself, hence you hoping for me to go back is not a good thing for me. As a Greek I feel great sympathy and love for neighboring Turkey and the Turkish people, it's a shame that our governments use propaganda to make us hate each other while we shouldn't! Been to Istanbul , everyone was super polite and super friendly , we were getting offered free tea , lokums etc . Same thing with Izmir . It would be naive to think that anyone is perfect. I mean the Hellenic empire (hellenistic Greece) was massive and ruled for three centuries! Were there injustices? Sure, same with Ottomans. But did any of us live 3 centuries ago or even 1? Yes there is a collective ethos but I don't think it permeates or percolates down to Turks and Greeks today. Only bigots buy into that. I was so happy to hear about many Greek pilots joining Turkish airlines during the financial crisis. That shows you that in times of crisis you can rely on your friend and vice versa,
I am a Turkish man who really hates the haters of two sides. We had wars yes but Time has passed. Why don't we live in peace and be good neighbours? Past cannot be a reason to dislike each other. Loves to our Greek friends from Istanbul :)
yes past is past but now we live in present modern times so we can be good neighbors and respect one another. i think we ordinary simple people sympathise each other, it's the politics that try to make us enemies. many greetings from a greek in Athens!!!
My village in Greece had a Turkish name. Gotzorgli. before it was change to Alonia. We live together for many centuries and our culture is mixed and unique. People are the same everywhere. Politicians like to inflame hate and profit from it. Peace and prosperity to our people. edit for the correct name. Gortzogli..instead
I don't want a war between us and Greece. Politicians and stereotypes that divide us. In fact, ordinary people do not see each other as enemies. Greek sounds so sweet. I met a Greek girl who had a little problem so I helped her.
It’s sad that this older man in the video said that Greece hasn’t been friendly towards Turkey throughout history, because it seems like he hasn’t read history. However, all these positive things I saw in this video give me hope.
lots of love to our Turkish brothers and sisters, we are neighbors and very similar in culture despite our different religion. For example, if Im not mistaken only Greeks and Turkish people can play tavli (tavla) together.
@@georgia36271 an average Greek in Peloponnese, Central Greece, the islands etc had never seen a single turk in their entire life, let alone living together. You also seem to ignore 2 whole centuries that Greece is independent, or that many paets of Greece have never been under Ottomans
This is all very interesting and verifies what citizens of Greece and Turkey always knew: we don't want war! And the citizens of each country don't want to claim the other's land. What's in the past is sad and devastating and we all want to move forward.

@@zekikalmaz4573 I regularly go to Greek Restaurants in my area with friends and drink Ouzo.

Greeks of the former Byzantine Empire. Those people referred to themselves as Romans rather than Byzantines, and when the Ottomans took over, that's what they continued to call themselves.
Hellenized Anatolian Roman citizens.
Bro Byzatyne is a buzz word from a German Schoolar of 15-16th century.
Rum = Roma (Eastern)
Rumi = From Roma
Rum means Roman in Ottoman Turkish, that was the traditional way of addressing to Greeks.
@@EasyGreekVideos In fact, the first Turkish empire in Anatolia (Turkey) was called the Seljuk Sultanate of Rum - the Seljuks being a large Turkic middle eastern empire and Rum referring to modern day Rome i.e. Byzantine. The Ottoman Empire was originally a small substate (called beylik) within the Seljuk Sultanate of Rome. The founders of the Ottoman Empire migrated from what is now Mary in Turkmenistan to what is now northwestern Turkey in the 12th century.

As a Turk, my dream is to visit Greece and see its amazing history.
Hello Stelios, As a Turkish, I see comments from Greeks in Greece for Turkey. But I do rarely see positive comments from Greek Cypriots. I really wish both Turks and Greeks could get along in Cyprus. Why does religion and language have to be a barrier between these two cultures? If anything, it is a great positivity to live together. Peace

I don't know why UA-cam recommended this video but I'm glad it did. It's really nice to see people say the real truth instead of the manufactured idea that the two countries should hate each other for...reasons.
Does anyone really believe that a citizen with his own life, his family, his children wakes up each morning thinking, how can I do harm to my enemy just like the TV says? Does anyone really believe that a normal person wakes up each morning thinking about taking a gun to kill his 'enemy'?
I have met Turks, I never had any problems with them. I have worked and cooperated with Turks. No problems whatsoever. I have no reason to hate a Turk citizen.
The only thing constantly causing issues are politics. Far-right wing, nationalistic politics to be exact. The moment someone starts to somehow feel 'proud' for simply being born in a specific country without doing anything else to help other people or offer anything for the common good, things start to go wrong....

As a Greek, i visited Turkey back in 2009, and since then another 3 times. I always had a great time, people there were very hospitable and friendly, i want to get back soon
Now, as for how close the two peoples are, i would say that they have things in common, but as i noticed, differences are a lot more than similarities:
Mentality: both are "warm", but Turks are a lot more emotional, Greeks are more "comfortable", but Turks more "relaxed". Turkish mentality is "not suspicious at all", Greeks are a lot more suspicious. The Greek stereotype of Turkish mentality is that they are "agathoi" (good people but not "suspicious"/"cunning")
Habits: here are many differences: Turks vastly drink tea, Greeks vastly drink coffee (mainly a Greek coffee called frappe, and foreign like espresso). Greeks keep shoes on when visiting a foreign house, Turks remove their shoes in such occasions
Music: part of music is identical, part of music is nothing alike.
This is not that visible in touristic cuisine, but a lot visible in traditional cuisine
Architecture: Turkish architecture is the ottoman vernacular house. Greece has this type only in Northern mainland regions. Southern Greece and Greek islands architecture is similar to Southern European (Italian Spanish) with no Ottoman influence
Language: Greek language is a centum (Western) indoeuropean language with "Spanish" sounds, and 60-70% of its foreign loanwords being latin, Turkish is an altaic language
As a whole, Greeks are a European nation with limited Oriental influences (and we are not the only, at least all Iberians, Maltese, South Italians, and to a higher extend south Balkaners are European nations with oriental influences). Turks are a blend of central asian, caucasian and persian civilization, with some levantine influence
you are welcome! come to istanbul/kadıköy its so beatiful here :)
greeks drink raki too. we call it tsipouro/tsiloudia/raki depending on the region. we definitely know what it is 😂
@@vasilikikakara3092 No. The two drinks (Turkish raki and Greek tsipouro) are irrelevant, at least by taste, with only thing in common being that they are destilled. The only drink resembling Greek tsipouro is Italian grappa, and many people in Northern Greece call tsipouro "grappa" as well
Plus, tsipouro is regional, in Northern Mainland Greece. Greeks of Southern Greece and the islands do not have it in their tradition
That's a decent evaluation :)

I am a Turkish man who really hates the haters of two sides. We had wars yes but Time has passed. Why don't we live in peace and be good neighbours? Past cannot be a reason to dislike each other. Loves to our Greek friends from Istanbul :)
Tesekkurler greets iyi gecelar :)
yes past is past but now we live in present modern times so we can be good neighbors and respect one another. i think we ordinary simple people sympathise each other, it's the politics that try to make us enemies. many greetings from a greek in Athens!!!

Constantinople has nothing Christian to visit now and there are no christians there.
I am turkish and i remember me about 30 years ago i was there in greece the People was absolutely very kind and friendly
There is no reason to be have a bad relationship each other with Greeks, i really love them, screw politics.

Le village où j'habite en Turquie s'appelait Dimitiopolis qui a été changer par Dindebol et Germenikopolis qui a été changé par Ermenek..😊
Götzoru demek herhalde galiba tarihte götzoru ile alınmış.
@@melekyanmaz heyy buddy i own a greco turkish friendship server if you want to join send me your account
And what was the name of your village before turks name it Gortzogli?
@@soundart1760 I have no idea.
Neither Greek nor Turkish here but these two videos and comments hit me right in the feels.
I don't want a war between us and Greece. Politicians and stereotypes that divide us. In fact, ordinary people do not see each other as enemies. Greek sounds so sweet. I met a Greek girl who had a little problem so I helped her.
You are right but aint everyone like you
So never forget this Greece and Turkey=❤ We have to remember it because is so easy for politicians to change it.
It’s sad that this older man in the video said that Greece hasn’t been friendly towards Turkey throughout history, because it seems like he hasn’t read history. However, all these positive things I saw in this video give me hope.
Bro past is past ,if yu read your history books are diff if a Turk read a history book diff , even when u make a comment dont blaim turks
That old man is not Turkish. ultra-conservative cleric. We Turks also hate those men.
lots of love to our Turkish brothers and sisters, we are neighbors and very similar in culture despite our different religion. For example, if Im not mistaken only Greeks and Turkish people can play tavli (tavla) together.
We should play tavla with Dimitris from Easy Greek team for a future collaboration video :)
:))
You must be really high if you think that Greek culture is similar to a nearly Arabic culture
@@snowman9452 greeks and turkish people lived together for 400 years due to the Ottoman empire till around 1821..
@@georgia36271 an average Greek in Peloponnese, Central Greece, the islands etc had never seen a single turk in their entire life, let alone living together. You also seem to ignore 2 whole centuries that Greece is independent, or that many paets of Greece have never been under Ottomans
Videoda konuşan kişilerin düşüncelerini sığ bulmadım gayet güzel ve objektif bir video olmuş emeğinize sağlık 🙏👏👏👏
This is all very interesting and verifies what citizens of Greece and Turkey always knew: we don't want war! And the citizens of each country don't want to claim the other's land. What's in the past is sad and devastating and we all want to move forward.
