Oh my goodness, never heard of him but I am just in awe right now. One hell of a singer, I love love this. I keep listening too it over and over. Just beautiful. Stay safe.🥰
I apologize, I meant to tell you that I enjoyed your reaction of THIS song. I enjoy the camaraderie between you and Chuck. It cracks me up when y'all bust out laughing at the same time. You are both so knowledgeable about music. Thanks for introducing me to Gabe Lee's Eveline.
I've been listening to that Gabe Lee song so much too! He and American Aquarium are coming to my town in June and I will be out of town. I can't believe I'm gonna miss em!
Please consider reacting to The Trailer We Call Home by them. They paint a true picture of life in America: past, present and future. You can't put them in a box and they have something special to offer.
Burt listen to her it's maybe their best song IMO with Stone and Virginia I'd out Ballad of a southern man at number 1 but the Confederate flag line is pretty Cringe
@@SongwriterReacts omg I totally forgot or maybe I have already told you check out Brent Cobb -Soapbox (Live with Nikki Lane) I can't remember if you've done him but this duet is something special old times and perfect . Then check out Brent Cobb - Keep 'em in They Toes And he's got a bunch more great songs
You've gotta do the studio version of this. The outro is awesome. Or do Bad Weather. Sung by one of the guitarists Cody Tate. Amazing song & you're gonna melt & be kinda mad at the outro. It could in my opinion go on for 30 minutes
I bought tickets to see them last year in their home town of Palestine. I'll be seeing THAT show in October. Also have tickets to see them in September.
They are outstanding I dont think you can put them in a box at all, reminds me of a 3 doors down style rock but a little more southern fried. Feels like if Chris Stapleton sang a Lumineers song, Cody's voice iS Fantastic!!!
The original lyrics is the Night is my companion, he just changed it for the live version

So glad you enjoyed the song Michele!
Michele, Whiskey Myers is actually a band. The singer is Cody Cannon. And believe me they are amazing live. Seen them 7 times
Amen
that song, those lyrics... it doesn't get any better, pure fucking magic!!!
Might have to cover this one y'all.

The Steeldrivers - Can you run .. or Ghosts of Mississippi (by the Steeldrivers as well) love the channel!
I've been meaning to do a cover of Ghosts of Mississippi for awhile now!

Such a powerful song. I think a cover of this would be fantastic.
Working on it!
Listen to warren zeiders cover of this song...he’s one hell of a singer too.
@@mitchbender7466 will do thanks Mitch!

Right on Cole!
Cole, saw them open for Whiskey Myers the first time I saw them
@@ryansalmons5279 I haven’t had the chance to see them in concert yet, but they are definitely all over my playlist
@@colerodgers375 they're good & when I saw them it was just the two guys. They didn't have a band backing them
Try colloquy if you like this one .. Pretty sure you like it
Thanks Richard!
@@SongwriterReacts and bad weather after that! Its not cody cannon singing, its cody tate!
Dude I would love if you checked out there other stuff especially there song early morning shakes check out him belting out a power house of a song.
This is a band with multiple singers.

Do lucero’s Texas And Tennessee.
Check out "Trailer We Call Home" by WM
I've been meaning to check that one out!
@@SongwriterReacts its a good one.
That hat went on naturally crooked when he pulled it off.
The album version is better but for just the two. It’s good
You should definitely check out Warren Zeiders cover of this. I cant stop listening to it
Whisky Myers is one of the best shows you will see live, period. However, this particular performance is not the best version.
I disagree, this is an excellent version. Raw, acoustic, emotional, pasionate, it doesn't get any better.
I agree this is one of the few songs that I think the full production version is the best with the electric guitar.
I think you need to hear "John Wayne" off their latest album......
