From Wikipedia:
Bangor (/ˈbæŋɡɔːr/ BANG-gor) is a city in the U.S. state of Maine and the county seat of Penobscot County. The city proper has a population of 31,753, making it the state's third-largest settlement, behind Portland (68,408) and Lewiston (37,121).
Modern Bangor was established in the mid-19th century with the lumber and shipbuilding industries. Lying on the Penobscot River, logs could be floated downstream from the Maine North Woods and processed at the city's water-powered sawmills, then shipped from Bangor's port to the Atlantic Ocean 30 miles (48 km) downstream, and from there to any port in the world. Evidence of this is still visible in the lumber barons' elaborate Greek Revival and Victorian mansions and the 31-foot-high (9.4 m) statue of Paul Bunyan. Today, Bangor's economy is based on services and retail, healthcare, and education.
Bangor has a port of entry at Bangor International Airport, also home to the Bangor Air National Guard Base. Historically Bangor was an important stopover on the Great Circle Air Route between the U.S. East Coast and Europe.
Bangor has a humid continental climate, with cold, snowy winters, and warm summers.
Grew up in Bangor, lived off state street, went to Saint Johns and John Bapst high school. Other than the winters, it was a great place to live
Thank you for doing this drive around Bangor. Miss it and wish I could return. You never knew what you had, until you move away.

My future home, hopefully soon. Thanks for the video
Hometown ❤
King of the road brought me here
My hometown of US
At minute 2:30 at the light, my uncle Jimmy lived on the third floor. I lived with him for a while in 99. I remember him hanging a sheet out the window you see decrying Janet Reno after the debacle of the Branch Davidian raid.
Prob a yuge Maga guy now..if he’s still alive..
@@whatsgood8183 Not really sure, Uncle Jimmy (James Dean, not that one) was I think more liberal in his views as am I even though I am a fervent Trump supporter. Lost my favorite Uncle to cancer many moons ago.
So beautiful ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
You can see King and Buffett hanging out in Key West
i never been in Maine, but why I do feel nostalgia??
Im thinking of visiting Bangor for 5 days next month from Scotland. Is 5 days too long? Is there much to do?
You should do a few nights in Ogunquit
Go to Bar Harbor nothing to do here in Bangor.
I would do 1 day in Portsmouth New Hampshire, one or two days in Portland Maine and a day in Bangor.
Coming from a dangerous city in the dirty south, this place looks nice af. Looks like my city minus litter everywhere, huge swaths of dilapidated houses, pan handlers on every corner, and gang related crimes happening all the time. 🤷♂️ I’d live here. Boring ain’t nothing if you’ve got peace of mind.
Don’t be fooled by this video , there are plenty of pan handlers and crack cocaine as well as fentanyl on the streets !
Not a great city. It was nice growing up there in the 80's and 90's. However, it is one of the worst places to live in the entire state now. Definitely gives Lewiston a run for its money. High incidence of crime and the city is saturated with dilapidated structures and drug addicts. It's really gone down hill over the past two to three decades.
Grove St., home.
walk these roads alll the time 😅😅
Bangor is the place where the State of Maine got it's first Chick-fil-A restaurant.

@@thesharinganknight9859 Yep, exactly.

Where's the snow???
Contrary to popular belief, it doesn’t snow here all the time !
Here's a thought. Try FOCUSSING
Barely know her!

Don't live here alone! You need a hugh family!
I live alone! It’s very safe here!! Hometown ❤
@@lisawhite422geez, now you'll have a million date requests 😂 Like, all it would take is one bored guy to ask ya out for coffee and waffles. However, I would want to take ya on a date to places back in Australia 🤦♀️
@@lisawhite422I'm glad its safe there btw. Last thing I need is some asshead trying to do bad things to me 😢
Are you saying that Bangor needs Mormons? 😅
Can't be noooo worse than Anchorage, St Louis or Gary,Indiana
Мёртвый город,нет людей на улицах.
MEh 😪😑been there nothing to do there.
Looks like a typical slum city
As depressing as ever. Kill the background noise and narrate from the beginning please. Point out changes, like Penobscot inn, train turntable, auditorium, millers, bangor hydro, masonic lodge that burned down, shriners club, sub shop on state that made the best tuna subs and always had long lines. I dont recognize anything in this video. And swing by Staceys in brewer and governors restaurant.
Sounds like a field day for The Ghost Adventures
