Thanks for the look around. I was surprised to see Loblolly pine trees in Maine. They're even more predominate in my home state of South Carolina and I never thought they grew so far north.
Working at Freeport Shoe across the street from LL Bean, I spent many a lunch hour checking out their goods. Also many Friday nights at the roller rink. It was not always safe for us from Lisbon Falls, when it came to meeting Brunswick girls.
I knew what street you meant before I even clicked the time stamp lol. I know every one of these roads having grew up a town over 😂 I remember riding my bike on Boody street as a kid
I think if I lived in one of these towns I'd go apeshit. Houses are gorgeous but at $457K average in the sticks.. nah. How can you make that kind of coin up there?
@@MileageMikeTravels It is. I went up to the Adirondacks for a week this summer and was talking to one of the local business owners in Lake Placid. Housing is too expensive and it's really hard to get workers, even temporary ones. Almost every store in town had a help wanted sign up.
That's what keeps the bullshit out... but you could always move to Texas that's where I'm at now... place has tornadoes and crap but it's really not as bad as they make it... they dont build like we do of course an 80mph wind is gonna take off a sheet metal roof without plywood with toe nailed roof trusses not 16 on center... reason our houses still stand from 1776... house from the 80's is old out here
Like most places, if they didn't know you in high school, you could be Albert Einstein but you aren't going to get a job in Brunswick. With two exceptions if they're 38 DD.
I have driven down these roads over a thousand times, but I never expected to see them on a UA-cam channel I was subscribed to.
Indeed. Not many make it all the way up here to Maine.
A very nice city. looks safe.
Awesome Downtown drive of Brunswick Maine.
Thanks for this. I grew up there. Pretty watching you drive it. Please check out Bath and Harpswell, true New England

Great video of my hometown, that I grew up in.
Nice tour of Brunswick ME
Did you pass by the giant boot in front of L.L. Bean in Freeport on the way up?

I used to drive around Brunswick a lot when I was stationed there 50 years ago.

Good question. I notice some of the cities are actually losing population. Cost of living and lack of jobs are likely the reason I'd guess.
