Husk is literally never scared. Not once has he been scared in this series. Seeing him literally shaking from Alastor threatening him was really eye-opening

Now As seen as Husk in episode 4 overlords can sell their souls to other overlords as he has done with Alastor, however I haven't seen any other overlord to care about Charlie and her hotel otherwise it could have been mentioned by Vestial or Carmina as they seemed the most caring to me with the results of the extermination. So if its not an overlord that leaves only 3 people above Alastor himself. From them Lucifer wasn't up to date with Charlie dream/ambition up to episode 5 so he is out. Charlie sorry but she was clueless of Alastor in the pilot and she wears her feelings on her face which I love about her so she is out. Which means that this lives only Lilith. She is above an overlord and she is a ruler of Hell who has been gone inactive in Hell as long as Alastor. We still don't know the real reason why Alastor is in the hotel...in the pilot he summoned Husk and Nifty to help/ live in the hotel, however it has been ruffly 5 months since episode 1 and since episode 3 when the snake joined there was no new face joining the Hazbin Hotel. If Alastor was really concern for the success of the hotel he could have tried to promote it on the radio station he has hanging on the side of the hotel. We also know from episode 3 that he knows that Angels can be killed and Carmina has done it but he had kept it to himself. Why is that? The only reason that I can see is that he had promised to protect Charlie to someone and to watch over her not to do something stupid and the closest way to do that is if he was at the hotel. While everybody at the hotel care about Charlie I see only 3 possible members of hell to be truly close to Charlie, and they are Vaggie, Lucifer and Lilith. From them we know that until episode 5 Lucifer kept Charlie far from him as he did not know how to get close to his daughter. Vaggie may have been a fallen angel, however right now her station is the same as Angel Dust and the others and I don't see Alastor making a deal with her to protect Charlie. We must not forget from the pilot that Vaggie was frightened of Alastor and tried to dissuade Charlie of accepting his help. Also if the deal was with Vaggie, most likely she would be the one "leashed" to Alastor like Husk is and not Alastor "leashes" to her. From the 3 people closest to Charlie we are down to one. That is Lilith. The only one to chain an overlord to her power and the only one that has been ( pun intended) gone as long as him ( 7 years). This leads me to believe that while gone Lilith knows what is going on with Charlie and watched over her and has taken care to give her one of the most feared and strongest overlords of Hell to protect her, Alastor. We don't know where is she and it what realm is she. What we know is that she isn't in Hell and she is not in Heaven. So she must be somewhere, however I believe that she at least watches over Charlie, otherwise why send Alastor back now, when the hotel opened and there is only 6 months between exterminations. Why not before when the exterminations were once a year? I believe that the hotel will becomes a battleground as Adam promised and we know from episode 3 that only an overlord while still unknown how can kill an angel, and the only overlord knowing that information beside Zestil and Carmine is exactly the only overlord staying in the hotel: Alastor.

I think i just peaced it all together. If Alastor has made a deal with Lilith which means he owns his soul. What if him helping Charlie succeed with the hotel is the only thing that can free him from Lilith’s ownership of his soul. And he was frustrated at Lucifer because he though he could potentially ruin his plan to get his soul back if Lucifer helped Charlie instead of him
instead i think that Lillith is the real villain maybe she sent alastor only to help charlie achieve her dream only to get a way for the heaven i think Lillith suggested to lucifer to give the "fruit" to Eve and evil found a way in the episode we could see the Lillith didn't want charlie to stay with lucifer (at least in the brief moment we saw) maybe Lilllith hate angels or something like that
my favorite idea about this is that the screen itself treats it as though alastor is affecting OUR viewing experience. he knows hes on screen. and he knows exactly how to show up hes aware.

The irony of the outburst being that Husker was kind of already pushing the boundaries with what he was saying before the final straw, but Alastor didn't even flinch at him. Guess the Radio Demon has reservations about collars and chains when he's the one wearing them.
You should try making Alastor's voice become unsettling deep radio voice instead and then shift to some unnatural demonic sounds, that would be the cherry on top.

The edits DEFINITELY make it seem much more intense and show that Alastor was much more serious but at the same time so much visual and sound effects can just kill the mood… for example… the whip… 😰

I like the idea that Alastor canonically disturbs the episode broadcast (in a 4th wall sort of way) when he wants to send a message. He already disrupts video feeds of all sorts even if he isn’t aware of them, and I think it would be really cool if he disrupted the episode in a way similar to how he did in the pilot. “This face was made for R A D I O.”
The voice change is everything, this is what's missing in the show for alastor. He'd be even more threatening and just cooler if the voice changed when he "transforms" into his demonic, wendigo form
This episode showed how Alastor’s leashed souls aren’t his friends. He threatens Husk’s life in this scene which almost comes out of nowhere. Meanwhile, he gives Mimzy a somewhat polite “you gotta go” when she brought trouble to the hotel plus put up with her shit because they friends when they were alive.

This is scene just reminds us that Alastor, even with how goofy and cheerful he can be, is STILL an extremely Dangerous Overlord who does NOT show mercy when needed. Also, my personal belief is that Alastors soul isn't owned by anyone - sure, there MAY be a connection between him and Lilith, but it could be that he made a deal with her, with both parties gaining something. Maybe Alastor wanted/needed something from Lilith, but the only way to gain it, was to agree to protect her daughter or something. So, the 'leash' could be metaphorical, as it could just refer to the deal Alastor has with Lilith and if he doesn't fulfill his side of the deal, he won't gain what he wanted from the deal.
I love this so much. This was what was missing from the show in Alastor’s more “threatening” scenes. You did an amazing job with this editing!!! They should hire you as an editor lol. When i watched this regularly in the show i just didnt feel the connection. I was more confused as to why Husker was so scared when Alastor barely even transformed in this scene. Husker has power too, i feel like it needed this intensity to really show the TRUE power dynamic. PLUS it makes it a lot more interesting and brings back the more threatening feel he had in the pilot. Its the little things lol.
THANK YOU, after watching the episode I realised how toned down Alastor's threats felt compared to the pilot ("If I wanted to hurt anyone I would have done so already") and both the voice and the effects really help increase the intensity a ton, v glad you went with this approach, wish the series continues to bring more moments like that especially! Also love the video distortion that appears almost as if Alastor is directly interfering with our video signals :D
I feel so bad for husk, he is constantly humiliated and feeling trapped and enslaved, and if he ever dared standing up for himself he'll be threatened with a fate worse death by this monster. He somehow managed to appear even worse than valentino in this scene.
There is something genuinely unsettling about this scene. Like everything in this show is really f**ked up in a fun way. But that just genuinely made me do a double take on the first watch. The intensity hits you like a truck and it was absolutely awesome!
I hope one day husk gets the upper hand on alastor. He told Charlie the truth, and hearing him saying that truth to alastor big talk for someone else on a leash was 🤌

Oh THIS is how it should have been, oh man - the thing that drew me into his character in the pilot was the pronounced glitching. While they've definitely still kept some of that during the show, it feels almost toned down, especially in moments like these when it 100% should be turned UP
Yeah it’s annoying how the glitching is basically just gone and replaced with him transforming all the time he gets annoyed or mad. It’s not as impactful . His voice doesn’t even change and that’s little to no sound effects either

It’d be a cool concept for Alastor to have voodoo dolls of the souls he possesses. I think it would’ve been more threatening to show how that Alastor literally controls Husk’s body by showing him tormenting him via the doll or like a marionette puppet.
I have a feeling that Alastor's soul doesn't belong to someone in the same sense as a demon owning a soul, rather that Alastor is more on a metaphorical leash as if he was obsessed with someone. Say... if he was obsessed with Lilith? As if trying to appeal to her devilish side, he tortured the overlords of Hell for her attention, but when she disappeared seven years prior, so did Alastor. Until he returns in the pilot stating that he lost inspiration until he saw Charlie. Perhaps he's hoping to probably use her to lure Lilith to him? Trying to get her to make a deal with him and using her soul as a hostage? Or perhaps taking a different approach than before and trying to be less bloodthirsty, as he clearly enjoys slaughtering and torturing people. Subduing his sadistic nature to be more formal and proper. His obsession putting a metaphorical leash on himself. Edit: I also want to throw in, that if that is the case, the completely different treatment to Lilith’s family becomes understandable. He hates and actively disrespects the Lord of Hell himself the moment they meet while being kind and helpful to Lilith’s child when. Also, when he saw the broadcast of the Hotel he probably thought it was entertaining to see Lilith’s daughter get in a fight on live television (despite hating TV) but he shows up at her front door the INSTANT she leaves a voicemail to her mom. Implying that while he was entertained, knowing that the project is involved not just with Lilith’s child, but Lilith herself, he wants to invest and become host of the Hazbin Hotel. And judging from Alastor’s personality, what he’s probably attracted to most would probably be Lilith’s voice, as with radio, one’s voice is one’s true expression.
It doesn't matter if he's AroAce. There are different types of AroAce's in general, 3 is the smallest amount to showcase without being too detailed or making this long; The one who still enjoys love and sex, despite not feeling for it unless it pleases their partner, again, AroAce people can still have a partner, they aren't devoid of any feeling, remember that. The one who rejects any type of love or offer of sex, even if they might want to (they're more curious than anything when it comes to that). And the one who complete is disgusted and hates the idea of being romantic or sexual with someone.
I think we forget sometimes due to how...comedic Alastor can be that he's essentially considered a literal Slasher villain to the people of Hell.

Ok usually i don't like voice changes for alastor but.... i like this one
I like the idea that Alastor canonically disturbs the episode broadcast (in a 4th wall sort of way) when he wants to send a message. He already disrupts video feeds of all sorts even if he isn’t aware of them, and I think it would be really cool if he disrupted the episode in a way similar to how he did in the pilot.

This episode showed how Alastor’s leashed souls aren’t his friends. He threatens Husk’s life in this scene which almost comes out of nowhere. Meanwhile, he gives Mimzy a somewhat polite “you gotta go” when she brought trouble to the hotel plus put up with her shit because they friends when they were alive.

This is scene just reminds us that Alastor, even with how goofy and cheerful he can be, is STILL an extremely Dangerous Overlord who does NOT show mercy when needed.
Also, my personal belief is that Alastors soul isn't owned by anyone - sure, there MAY be a connection between him and Lilith, but it could be that he made a deal with her, with both parties gaining something.
Maybe Alastor wanted/needed something from Lilith, but the only way to gain it, was to agree to protect her daughter or something.
So, the 'leash' could be metaphorical, as it could just refer to the deal Alastor has with Lilith and if he doesn't fulfill his side of the deal, he won't gain what he wanted from the deal.
Alastor is very intelligent and never shows stupidity

I love this so much. This was what was missing from the show in Alastor’s more “threatening” scenes. You did an amazing job with this editing!!! They should hire you as an editor lol.
When i watched this regularly in the show i just didnt feel the connection. I was more confused as to why Husker was so scared when Alastor barely even transformed in this scene. Husker has power too, i feel like it needed this intensity to really show the TRUE power dynamic. PLUS it makes it a lot more interesting and brings back the more threatening feel he had in the pilot. Its the little things lol.

THANK YOU, after watching the episode I realised how toned down Alastor's threats felt compared to the pilot ("If I wanted to hurt anyone I would have done so already") and both the voice and the effects really help increase the intensity a ton, v glad you went with this approach, wish the series continues to bring more moments like that especially! Also love the video distortion that appears almost as if Alastor is directly interfering with our video signals :D

I feel so bad for husk, he is constantly humiliated and feeling trapped and enslaved, and if he ever dared standing up for himself he'll be threatened with a fate worse death by this monster.
He somehow managed to appear even worse than valentino in this scene.

There is something genuinely unsettling about this scene. Like everything in this show is really f**ked up in a fun way. But that just genuinely made me do a double take on the first watch. The intensity hits you like a truck and it was absolutely awesome!

Oh THIS is how it should have been, oh man - the thing that drew me into his character in the pilot was the pronounced glitching. While they've definitely still kept some of that during the show, it feels almost toned down, especially in moments like these when it 100% should be turned UP
Yeah it’s annoying how the glitching is basically just gone and replaced with him transforming all the time he gets annoyed or mad. It’s not as impactful . His voice doesn’t even change and that’s little to no sound effects either
This is why Ed Bosco should have remained the voice of Alastor he had far more of a threatening tone with this character.
I feel like this would be more scary for me if when Alastor puts husk on a Chain the music from when the voodoo man dies suddenly in the princess and the frog comes on but that’s just for me

It’d be a cool concept for Alastor to have voodoo dolls of the souls he possesses. I think it would’ve been more threatening to show how that Alastor literally controls Husk’s body by showing him tormenting him via the doll or like a marionette puppet.

I have a feeling that Alastor's soul doesn't belong to someone in the same sense as a demon owning a soul, rather that Alastor is more on a metaphorical leash as if he was obsessed with someone.
Say... if he was obsessed with Lilith? As if trying to appeal to her devilish side, he tortured the overlords of Hell for her attention, but when she disappeared seven years prior, so did Alastor. Until he returns in the pilot stating that he lost inspiration until he saw Charlie. Perhaps he's hoping to probably use her to lure Lilith to him? Trying to get her to make a deal with him and using her soul as a hostage? Or perhaps taking a different approach than before and trying to be less bloodthirsty, as he clearly enjoys slaughtering and torturing people. Subduing his sadistic nature to be more formal and proper.

Edit: I also want to throw in, that if that is the case, the completely different treatment to Lilith’s family becomes understandable. He hates and actively disrespects the Lord of Hell himself the moment they meet while being kind and helpful to Lilith’s child when. Also, when he saw the broadcast of the Hotel he probably thought it was entertaining to see Lilith’s daughter get in a fight on live television (despite hating TV) but he shows up at her front door the INSTANT she leaves a voicemail to her mom. Implying that while he was entertained, knowing that the project is involved not just with Lilith’s child, but Lilith herself, he wants to invest and become host of the Hazbin Hotel.
And judging from Alastor’s personality, what he’s probably attracted to most would probably be Lilith’s voice, as with radio, one’s voice is one’s true expression.

There are different types of AroAce's in general, 3 is the smallest amount to showcase without being too detailed or making this long; The one who still enjoys love and sex, despite not feeling for it unless it pleases their partner, again, AroAce people can still have a partner, they aren't devoid of any feeling, remember that. The one who rejects any type of love or offer of sex, even if they might want to (they're more curious than anything when it comes to that). And the one who complete is disgusted and hates the idea of being romantic or sexual with someone.
