I make custom carbon fiber plates that go under the insole of shoe (hobby not business). I have found my favorite combination to be a CF plate inside a Nike Epic REACT shoe. If you tell me your shoe size Jamie, I'd be happy to send you a shoe/plate combo to try.
0:36 I mean if you take the Nike SuperFly Elites, for example, they have a lot of plastic on the bottom. If you replace the plastic with the carbom fiber it will be even lighter so you could do that but the shoes would cost way more
In my personal opinion Sketcher's blows all those other shoes out of the water.The foams that they are making for their shoes is the future.They have the best cushioning of any shoe that I have ever raced in and I can run as fast and as far as I want to without my feet feeling beat up.Did I mention that their shoes are responsive.Let me put it this way.I am running faster in the Sketcher's than in the Vaporfly Next %.I will choose a shoe that is cushioned,yet responsive over a shoe that is just responsive but has barely there cushioning ,any day.How does Sketcher's do it ?Their shoes are almost perfect.They are incredibly cushioned,yet incredibly responsive,when you really pick up the pace.This is the future.Nike better hop on that train because I have seen the future and the future is Sketcher's.
New Balance Fuel Cell Rebel is a great road shoe - light and fast and forgiving but no carbon plate. Excellent outsole and midfoot spring.

I brought a pair of nike zoom fly 3days ago for a bargain of £50 (they were originally £130) havnt used them yet, except for half a mile on the treadmill in the shop I brought then from. You can really feel the carbon plate and rigidness of the shoe

I just started running in the carbon x. They're a little snug but i can make it work with thin socks. It feels fast but lets see how i do in my next race

I see some people running track 10k's in the vaporfly, but i think the 5280 could be a great options for when you wanna run a 10k but don't want your feet to get beat up by spikes

Since these are all designed for neutral runners, I've always wondered how stability wearers deal with racing flats like these. Do you use inserts? Or tough it out for the race? Obviously if you train in stability shoes, it is the wisest to emulate that for a race. Where my stability friends at? 😆 At the moment I just race in trainers because of this very issue.
I'm used to run marathons with NB 1500v4, Kinvara 8, adidas Adizero Tempo 8... now I'm thinking about getting a carbon plate shoe. Please, which one of these is the most similar with the ones I use?

I'v been running in Hokas for over 4 year's now. I want to try a carbon plate shoe BUT I DON'T KNOW WHAT ONE lol. I'v been looking up reviews and all that but I still can't make a decision. It's either I wait for the new alpha's or just sticking to what I know Hoka OneOne. For some reason this is real hard for me.
Is there one of these that might work for someone with a wide foot?

Weird. The carbon x is the 3rd Hoka I got. I feel it has the best midsole, The proFlyX. The other Hokas are the Clifton 2 and the Rincon.
So want to try hyperburst but I just can't get myself to buy another pair of Skechers 😭😭 got the GoMeb Speed something and they were awful
Funny thing is that On shoes all have a speedboard in their shoes which is similar to the carbon plate way before it got hyped.

I’m pretty new to running and I’m looking for a racing shoe for 5k and 10k races. Is there a particular shoe or shoes you would recommend? I have been looking at the Nike Zoom Fly 3’s as I know someone selling a pair cheap (£95) however from what I can gather, the Zoom Fly 3 may be better suited for longer distances? Thanks for the video Jamison and thank you to anyone in advance who has any comments.
I own all the Zoom Fly models (Zoom Fly original, SP, Flyknit & 3) and I think they are the best bang for buck carbon fibre plate race shoes that you can get on a budget. The Zoom Fly 3 is the heaviest one out of the lineup but also has the most foam for energy return, so I feel it makes up for it that way. You feel like you can hold a higher pace for longer in relative comfort compared to some other racing flats out there. I have raced a 5k and 10k in Zoom Flys and set my current PBs in both occasions. And I wouldn't hesitate to race a half marathon in the Zoom Fly 3 either. :)
Does any of those Nike running sneakers gain you 3.5 cm? Which midsole is taller? Although I have not owned one, I guess Nike Zoom Fly must gain 3.5 cm
I was a huge Skechers fan until I learned that Skechers will not make the speed elite in a 13. They’re discriminating against people with long and super wide Ronald McDonald feet... On another note- I normally don’t care for Nike running shoes but I got the Nike next% and absolutely love them!

It is posseble with out of a plate but it helps the guys run just that 10 or 20 second faster and my shoes aint even carbon plates or spesial bounce foam iam so eksited

Looking for a marathon shoe and probably going to pace somewhere between a high 9 to low 10 minute mile. The carbon X has been on my radar. Do you need to run at a faster pace for the carbon x to get the full benefits and for it to feel good?
