One of the most versatile vehicles revealed for a long time...Vanquish hit it ....should have been released as a kit though 🤔
That's what I'm waiting on.
This rigs a perfect candidate for the knew axe R3
Too big of a motor by a lot, at least with the 4274 size I have
@@ExocagedRC agreed...but a R2 550 would be an option.
I've been waiting for your coverage of this. Looking forward to some modded up runs. I'd like to see it next to the Capra to get a size comparison; nobody has done that yet.
The H10 is not modeled after a trail vehicle, it's modeled after a U4 truck (like the the Miller Motorsports RC4WD) The Axial Capra is more like a "Moon Buggy" used in pro crawling competitions. What's cool about this truck is that the transmissions are swappable with their other trucks, you can drop a Phoenix transmission in this and have dig and overdrive (if you want) Also, they flipped the servo so you don't have to run a low profile servo for clearance (like the Carbon) Very Cool
Sway-bar should help as well.
Can't wait to see what all you do to it. I know you'll make it awesome!
Been waiting to see you pick one of these up! Clipless setup in the mail :) Definitely agree with the low speed throttle control. Little hard to manage for true crawling at low speeds bone stock.
Right on!
Its a great base you can take in many directions depending on your wants and needs. Glad to see it offered.
RC driver for the deep dive here for the crawl testing…..not bad.
Like to see it next to a semi modded for crawling bomber…..
Got mine yesterday, it looks aazing, so much potential... wether you want to do a little or a lot.
Didnt hesitate on picking this one up.
Looking forward to making mine my own.
Cheers 👍
I’ve been swapping out motors and esc and servos on my rtr Vanquish trucks, but I’ve been keeping the stock radio. I really like it a lot.
Axe r3 would be nice in this guy
It looks like what i want to build but but complete an better👍
Axe 3300kv will work pretty good in that truck 🥰
I bet putting and hi clearance bend on all four lower links at the axle would shine with the stock rtr vanquish stance wheels and tires. Added height and dual stage
This would be a good candidate for the new axe esc with a 2300kv motor with the adjustable drag brake.
with the 2300 yeah that could work
Great video. I will be getting mines today can’t wait 🦾
I think its awesome. I know how to put my own wheels on then ill totally love it 💯👍
Cant wait for mine to get here! I missed out on the first batch. :( Thanks for the video!
I got my H10 the other day and gave it a trial run….it actually reminds me of my axial bomber …..a jack of all trades but a master at nothing ….i agree….a few mods and could be a different animal!
Rig is meant to be a U4 style buggy
Yeah I can see that
I love how it handles 👍
Mine comes in today and I already got
Rims with weights inserts on tusks ready to go
A fusion pro with the Phoenix twin transmission
Ottsix hardend ar44 gears
a brushless 50kg servo
And last touch Finelaserdesigns easy access battery latch system
Mine are supposed to arrive Monday. Shipping got messed up and they were delayed.
👍👍😃
Josh from Harley Design had a great breakdown as he described what h-10 actually meant as well as Crawler Canyon had measurements and comparison to other axles and vanquish rigs.
I'm not sure what this rig is for... it feels like a bard; does a little something of everything, but not a single thing as an expert.
".... but not a single thing as an expert...." but for that Vanquish has more than enough other options 😉
It needs the underdrive gears in the transmission
👍🏻😁😎✌️
🤷♂️🤷♂️🤷♂️🤦♀️🤷♂️🤷♂️🤷♂️
I’m up later than usual lately. Must be spring fever. 😂
Reminds me of the gatekeeper
The gatekeeper is a lemon
Seems to be the way all Rc manufacturers do things now, release a mediocre rtr with potential so we don’t mind paying the premium prices, should be at least $100 less
It’s wheel base is to long to be an efficient crawler
💯🤸♂️👍
Eww no thanks...It reminded me of the Axial Bomber 2.0 I bought before when it came and I was so excited it looked cool but I hated it and didn't like the way it drives...so I sold it.
It's funny that everyone calls it a trail buggy. Tell me you don't know the full size world without telling me. Many trail buggies are the most capable crawlers
It's in the name of the product lol
Buggies? There is only one . the Capra🤔
@frankie2499 yes it is but doesn't mean that it's not ment for difficult crawling. Trail buggy means a buggy that your not competing with in the full size world
@@themountain59there is many buggies and the capra is actually designed after a moonbuggy
@@frankie2499even the vanquish workers made a comment about it on the live stream that people don't know the difference between a trail buggy in full size and rc. It's designed after a full size trail buggy not ment for rc trails
It comes stock with 6.5% overdrive.
I'm still pretty new to the crawler/trail scene (mostly been touring, F1, & dirt buggies), but the Optic seems long & low to be a pure rock crawler. Like Vanquish says, it's a trail truck I guess. Would slapping 2.2s on it help with clearance issues on the rocks? _Can_ you even put 2.2s on it?
Question about FOC: Is it really a good tool, or is it just a crutch to make driving easier? I'm not trying to start a fire, I'm just curious about its true benefits. Thanks for the first run, Exo!
I don't think I'm going to get it. I love my Capra. I'm faithful. Lol
Yea I'm wondering if there's a way to get the shorty transmission kit in there to shorten up the front end for better break over and probably some higher clearance links. And a set of 2.2 that are between 5.0-5.3 tall and so good electronics and weighted beadlocks and it would open this thing up some more. It would be cool to try and fit the dig and 4ws on this thing as well.
Sweet rig .
Everything need more $$$$ into it to make it great.
Needs taller tires...the new 2.2 tusk would be perfect!
Faster motor, high clearance rear links, portal rear axle, overdrive gears in the rear axle and portals, under drive in the front. Gets you to around 20% overdrive total. This truck will wake right up.
If Vitavon made a front axle for that they should add a shield that comes from the pumpkin to protect the servo . It would transition better from axle to skid over the rocks as well
The vanquish stance was impressive.
The VRD carbon was extremely impressive. The vrd stance was a money grabbing pos.
👍👌
I like this style because if you send it fast or drive it slow it still looks good and scale because those trucks dont just crawl around
Not impressed
I hope to make it impressive
How can a RTR impress? Its made as a compromise .
Definitely driving it like the design implies. I want axial or vanquish to release a moon buggy already. We want moon buggies!
I seen a few of these on the trail in az .... it just ok . I think the axles will be the parts people want. 🤔
IF all manufacturers made a rtr crawler all tricked out, everyone would have a redcat fusion 🤷♂️😁!
Joke of the week...thanks for that 👍
