I bought a H10 shortly after they were released…I knew they weren’t a designated crawler for say ….but after getting it I felt compelled to make it a better “crawler”…..HW fusion pro , NSDRC budget servo, big change was adding 2.2 x 5.25 tusks with Exocaged 3D inserts……what a game changer ! I love this rig now…..just about as good as my scx10 pro and a couple other performance crawlers …
Vanquish knocked it out the park with this one. They gave us a Ripper we can all afford. And It’s got brand new H10 axles, a full cage and hardbody. 🇺🇸
With all the shortcomings in the original condition - no! We already have a not particularly good and overpriced Capra, so why is Vanquish now offering us exactly the same rubbish?
@@Toodles77Not true. The Vanquish suffers from torque twist and unloading. The suspension geometry needs a counter balance for better traction and less unloading. Tuning also can help but only so much in this configuration.
Thanks, I'm watching as I tension up a custom 29er Hope/Spank Vibracore 359/DT R wheel. 😇 I'm still thinking about the optic as a future project when I can get the parts for a rear wheel steer rig.
I’m late to ❤ I ordered mine last Wednesday and was praying having it for weekend !!!! But great review!!!! 😊 Hope what wheels have laying around look good on it 😊
I believe its just the tyre sticking to the foam as they are so sticky, and then they just get wrapped up and stuck... I just turned 'em inside out dusted with a fine powder, I actually just banged em about in the dust on my floor mats and wiped out with a dry cloth so they were no longer tacky, then assembled on new rims and dual stage foams.. They likely dont stick to most 3d printed inserts. Its a cool buggy, good looks and is just something a bit different to a typical truck body platform. Its similar but different to both my Capra and Gatekeeper Cheers
The tire is from rubbing on the knuckle. I bet it was the inside sidewall of the passenger front tire. Bit of a bummer they didn’t catch that before shipping them out.
Nice work on the comparison and testing out some mods! How did the Hyrax perform on this? In your video the modded truck was still running the Geolanders. Would you take this or the Fordyce between those RTR offerings?
@@HoundStuffIMHO go with the H10 Optic. It comes with new H10 axles that are servo on axle. Open wheel caged chassis allows you to run any size tire. Full hardbody panels so if you easily repaint it and the chassis is designed to go 4WS in the future. Those features alone do not come on the fordyce.
I've got some choices for motors and I really can't decide. What kind of room are we working with? What would you do between a 1406/copper head, fusion se, fusion pro, axe 550, assuming R3 combo would be overkill.
Fusion Pro 2300kv is always best. Copperhead and axe 550 would be good for some rock bouncing/smashing. But locked diffs makes for a lot of flipping over. Also, might stress out the sintered gears. Real estate wise, there's room.
@@markcole6475 I understand that it fits but it can slightly load on the link mount causing a slight tweak, tension and mis alignment. Which in turn, causing a noisy operation. I'd rather say you may have to trim the link mount so folks are aware and can check their fitment and be trouble free. Glad yours fits with no issue. Cheers

Do not want sugar coating reviews.

Such a good share!!!
Thanks for the review. We need it in kit form.
Darn straight my good man.
Yes, with machined gears
With the VFD twin and the tires from the stance!

@@heikohesse4666 My capras have been awesome! You need to learn to set them up and you will enjoy them more.
Just ordered my h10 the other night. Pretty pumped to get it in!
I hate vp tires. They'll walk up anything on the first run but after that they SUCK
Their new compound is sticky but it dust attract a lot of dust.
@RCReviewChannel yep... they hang onto dirt, wrinkle up bad, rip easily, and don't grip on anything except maybe sand paper in Utah....
I love the look of this Vanquish. The stock performance is subpar. It definitely needs tuning and a sway bar. But that is part of the fun.
Agreed on all fronts!
Sway bars are for go fast vehicles, if that is what you’re building

Yeah, man every day I switch between RC and bike ranching.
Yes, I wonder what it would take to make this for the steer in an integrated fashion.
@@RCReviewChannel The Vanquish boys planned for rear steer. We just have to wait for parts.
Looking like this may be my next purchase.
Very glad to hear it. Vehicle has potential and it's good-looking and fun. Can prolly take a beating too.
I’m about to start on mine, haven’t even opened it and can’t get myself to drive it box stock thanks for the vid.

Dis the same with my VXt 2s
Great input my good man!
I like it, also good how it’s set up for rear steer!
Glad you like it!
Very nice playground you have there! 🤩

As always a great video. What anti-foams are you rocking?
This truck is screaming for some ruptures with desert lizards!! No question this is very capable rig with some mods🎉
Rrrrright? 5.1 inch Ruptures with the Proline Dual Stage foams.
@@RCReviewChannel yeah buddy exactly! 🤜
If the steering drag link did not have binding it would be far much better & needs to be replaced straight out the box.
Correct. My co-testers are reporting that the steering link is binding with the tire both in stock form and those with Vanquish beadlock upgrades
It's a scale trail rock crawler buggy made to resemble red dot engineering trail buggys...why do people keep saying U4 and rock bouncer 😅
What weight scales do you use? Looks awesome and handy to have.

We just ran it today with the hyrax tires and it was able to do all the previous lines on the 1st try. 👍

550 won't fit.. Fusion Pro is the limit and even then you need to trim the un-used front upper link mount, just a slight shave with exacto knife.

Throw those stock Stance tires and wheels on before you mod it, see if and how it changes things.
That is a fine idea! Bigger tires and dual-stage foams on the Stance too.
Your right this is NOT for everybody, lol
It is for somebody!
Never seen a tire stay wrinkled like that
Same
The optic is definitely wider than stock capra
Put a fusion in it. No brainer.
For sure. Redcat was smart and put a Fusion box-stock
If you’d install printed inserts the tires won’t do that.
It did the same thing stock and with printed foams
He obviously didn’t have correct size hubs and tire was rubbing. Clearly see it’s an aftermarket wheel
Disagree. That’s a Vanquish wheel. Tire was folding going straight
@@RCReviewChannelwhat’s that got to do with hub size
