    I am so glad I have found your page. After watching countless videos, I had yet to find someone with my similar hair texture. There are many videos for those with 3B & 4C curl pattern low & high porosity but I was stuck in the middle and you are the first I've seen with 3C/4A high porosity like me. I am definitely going to try the Camille Rose since we're heading into cooler weather. I shampoo and "try" to deep condition once a week but I rinse and go (with products ) every morning. I've tried pineappling at night but because I have looser curls in front & back those curls get too straight and if I don't, I get crazy smooshed bed head in my crown. Do you have to rinse your hair everyday then apply more products and if not how do you preserve your wash and go?
    P.S. Sorry for such a long comment.

    • @MelissaQ
      @MelissaQ  7 років тому

      +Mia Hilliard hey doll! Glad you found my channel! Moisture And seal. No I don't rinse every night. I convert my wash and go to a twist out after the 2 or 3rd day. I use a silk pillowcase. That helps soooo much! Hope that helps!

      @MelissaQ  7 років тому +1

      For sure! It's on the list to do right after my TOP 5 series. Thanks so much for the reminder. Oh and in regards to your last question, I use the Curl Junkie as the leave in and the moisture butter as the cream styler. I find that it has great hold for my twist outs and braid outs.

  • @linalora3688
    @linalora3688 6 років тому

    Hi me again I hav even leaving comments all over. When it comes to butter such as the Camille rose you mentioned I don’t have to seal it with an oil ? Also this is considered a leave in and not a cream styler? Which means I would use this one product only for my loc ? Sorry for all the questions I am trying to rescue my daughters hair and retain moisture.

    • @MelissaQ
      @MelissaQ  6 років тому +1

      No problem! Keep the comments and questions coming! 😘 I love hearing from you. So I use Almond Jai as a leave in and after it dries and I can used it as a styler as well. If you want to use it as a styler then you can use a different Leave in that is super moisturizing.

Ive been transitioning for 10 months now (texlaxing for 3 years prior to that) and I'm almost out of my elucence moisture balancing conditioner which I love (but it's always out of stock) so maybe I'll try your suggestion next......thanks for the recommendations:)

      OMG that conditioner is AMAZZZING! Where you try to get it? CurlMart.Com? Hmm the consistencies are different but both are good. Eluence is super cheap though! I need to get my hands on that for real! Thanks for mentioning it! xoxo

      Yasssss!!! I love it. I first learned of it from I believe Ashkins Curls. I have a lot of hair thats always dry and tangles easily but this conditioner no matter how I use it instantly makes my hair better. I usually get it on curl mart.com when they have a sale......however I checked last night and it was back in stock both their and on Amazon so I grabbed it at full price just so I have some in my stash bc if they ever discontinued it I just might cry. I still want to try the Darcy Botanicals though bc I need to be able to rotate my products. My hair gets used to products real fast.

    Is it possible to be protein sensitive when you have high porosity hair? Everyone has been saying protien is a life saver for high porosity but I've tried putting egg and other protien treatments and my hair becomes so dry and stiff...any suggestion?

    • @MelissaQ

      @@MelissaQ everything you mentioned!!😔 Plus...I contracted covid in Jan22 and had NO IDEA about "covid shedding"...it's REAL!!! I HATE to comb my hair cause it just comes out!😳😫 Heard and read that it has to go through its' cycle but will grow back. Since it's 3 phases to the growth cycle, covid affects those in the third cycle (those ready to shed--just makes it shed before it's ready). No one (even doctors) offer solutions because it just has to taper off. With that being said, I used tge SheaMoisture Strengthen & Restore Treatment Masque and put in 2 strand twists TODAY. I'm 🙏 it'll help with the dryness--the curls did pop afterward and I did do a prepoo but even more fragile now..strands on my hands and fingers while putting the masque on my hair....🙄..so frustrating. Jademarshall32 when you turn on your the water directly on your hair, does it come wet immediately or does it require the water to run for a while before getting wet or does it the water bead up on your hair? If it becomes wet you are high, if it beads and takes a while you're low.

    My hair had always looked dry and I kept using moisturising products on it like argon oil etc, which kinda worked but then I discovered kpac and with one use my hair looked so silky and good.
    So now I was hooked using the leave in, shampoo and conditioner and after making my hair look better all of a sudden it's looking suuuuuper dry again! And I'm getting random hairs (loads) that have a kinky bumpy texture which I've not had before 😭
    Have I over proteined?!
    Is the texture porosity?
    Please advice me if you can

    • @MelissaQ
      @MelissaQ  7 років тому

      protein overload can happen. I moisturize everytime I wash my hair to prevent that but I also have to watch protein overload on top of my hair already being dry. Is your hair knotting?

    • @ninjakittyX
      @ninjakittyX 7 років тому +1

      Thank you for your reply :)
      Yes, it's suddenly looking frazzled and split at the ends and is sooo much more tangled than usual.
      Since I discovered protein products I let my moisturising ones fall aside since it looked like the protein ones were working so much better then this!
      I'm really confused about it since I'm new to letting my hair naturally curly instead of straightening it out so I thought it would look healthier!
