Oh gosh, one ad i saw made me so horribly sad for the animal. Someone was selling a Fire Skink and its enclosure was just as barren as that ball python set up you reviewed. Or how many i see in such horrible health and people asking premium price.
My 15 year old niece just rescued a ball python 2 year old, severely underfed. Was lethargic as heck. It was an impulse buy. She hadn't fed boi for 1 whole year and when she did feed it she fed it live...cuz she claimed it refused to eat. The husbandry was atrocious. The previous owner didn't even have a thermostat!!! As soon as she rescued it, it slammed down food like no tomorrow. Gained weight. No issues at all. A lot of these animals are impulse buys...or "gifts". We see a huge influx on craigslist after Christmas.
Awe man that sounds horrible :( So glad you guys were able to give that poor baby another ch ace at life, wish more people cared like you and your niece. Hoping he’s doing well!
Yall need to do more videos together haha I wish you all could react to my large 9x9x6 1/2 foot tank me and my wife paint our backgrounds ND make cool custom waterfall
That whole Doodle mix ad trying to create a giant breed designer dog was very frustrating to see. People like this see these animals as easy. I'm all for the mixing of breeds to try and curb some of the genetic issues from in-breeding purebreds but you can no longer claim it as some kind of specific breed at that point. Also, I hate the idea that introducing poodle into the mix suddenly makes it worth more because it's 'hypoallergenic.' That's not a thing. ALL dogs shed and produce dander, some more than others, but there is no such thing as a 100% hypoallergenic dog. Then they said Giardia came from "at home stresses?" What? These people clearly don't know much about dogs. Giardia is puppies is very common so it's not surprising they this one had it, but to not know how a dog gets Giardia as a 'breeder' is ridiculous. Also, $4k-$5k is even high for a lot of purebreds. I hope this place gets raided and shut down.
I got the majority of my reptiles starting in the beginning of 2020 (right before the pandemic) with the most recent being this janurary. I can not imagine getting rid of any of them. I understand, circumstances chance, but I've made the decision the day that I got my animals, that they come first. If I want to go to college, but I can't take my animals, then I'm not going to that college. It was my decision to get each of these animals, so I am now responsible for giving them the best life I possibly can. I will never understand how people can get bored of their animals after a few months....
Exactly! I don’t understand how people don’t think of the possible future. I can’t really move anywhere cause most of my animals are banned in one province or another so there goes my Nova Scotia East coast dream 😅 But I’d rather have my tortoise instead anyway…
@@RedsFaunaverse haha. I feel that! I would absolutely love to live in Florida on the beach, but Florida has was to many bans and I would rather have my reptiles. Lol
In some cases you can take your animal to college w/you. I know a lot of ppl that move into campus and later bring in their tank(s) as long as the roommate is ok there is no real issue. I know a person who has 1 salt water aquarium in their dorm room. You should never sacrifice college/education for anything...instead find ways to make a compromise w/the animals. :)
@@midnull6009 I completely understand that. I have too many reptiles to live in a dorm with, but I'm pursuing my further education through online school. When I chose to get my animals, I knew that it would mean making sacrifices to be able to keep them, but I also knew that it would be worth it. As someone who wants to work with animals for the rest of my life, getting that experience is more important to me than getting the college life experience. Plus I never really planned on doing in person college, which is why it was easier for me to make that decision.
It is very difficult unfortunately to police such things, I use to think like that but it was explained to me all the loop holes and difficulties in doing so.
i got my bci and ball python during the pandemic and i dont wanna get rid of them no matter what, been thru so much to keep them, but yeah.. thers always the chance smthn could force them out of my life. Im sorry for all the genuinly caring people who had to lose their pets...
Agreed, I know some people have really tough situations or good reasons for needing to find a new home for their pets but glad to hear there’s others that value their little critters. I did get quite a few animals over the pandemic but I could never get rid of them either. They mean too much to me. Thank you for your comment 😊
People shouldn't just be able to buy nd sell any animals its upsets me so so much. I'm part of a chameleon group of fb nd I don't even look at it anymore because don't even bother to do any research on these beautiful animals before buying them
Great video guys. It's crazy what some people post.
Thank you!

I know its so sad what one comes across online or even in person.

It had so many bad reviews, I hope people looking into them do their homework and buy from somewhere else.
These Littiraly boils my blood. You guys really kept your cool
oh the things I see on kijiji! it’s a wild place lol

@@Avocetexotics Ah, well in person college vs online are two different things. :P
they are all horriball
I was just thinking I hope she's OK and then you uploaded the same day. Glad to see yall 😊
I’m still alive! Haha
Great video guys! Sad that I’ve seen these exact ads haha.
Miss you ladies!!
Awe! Thank you so much for watching! We miss you and the zoo crew a lot as well ❤️
Bin cages are good for hamsters if it’s the right size. Everything else in the add though was awful.
I have seen bin setups work for many animals as well if done properly, I’d be worried with the nature of the ad as to what their bin setup is like.
Reaction videos to stupid posts on fb groups and the “advice”(like babies only more hypothetical) that people give them.
That would be interesting 🤔
Ahah love this comment you should see the shit people post on the chameleon page im on. People littiraly do 0 research
@@joshuajones9697 chameleons are indeed very misunderstood and mistreated by many. They’re like an icon for reptiles so many people seek them out.
I wish the government would treat our beautiful reptiles as they treat firearms here in the UK. You should have to have a licence

It is unfortunate that these people ruin it for good and reputable breeders and sellers.
fun vid. just followed your friend on her ig.
She’s pretty cool! Thank you again!
