Sorry to hear of your diagnosis Clarke. As a cancer survivor myself (Tonsillar cancer) all I can say is that you will have to navigate your own path through this, it is different for everybody. Back yourself and do what you think best. You are a positive minded person which is of huge benefit. Use that to reframe every aspect into positive outcomes. You will need support... even to do the smallest chores so set that up asap. I'm sure you have close frinds to be your support network. Get that done now as you don't want to be organising any of it when treatment starts. You will want to have regaining your health as your one and only task! Most of all be kind to yourself... it takes great patience to allow the body to heal. All the best to you. 👍
As a survivor (NHL) and living with for 18 years you get to write your own story. C has a habit of giving you real clarity. Live your own life, run your own race and take each day as it comes. Life is a journey not a destination, you will have bad days. There is a Buddhist fable about bears and strawberries 🍓 so look for the strawberries in every day. There will be there some days you have to look a little harder. Surround yourself with positive people you don’t need to support those that are supposed to support you. Ask lots of questions, write your questions down and take someone with you when you go to see drs. Don’t do this alone. I took to writing kind words and uplifting euphemisms that I came across on my wall at home, it filled 4x5m by the end. I only painted the wall when I sold the house 10 years later. It gave me enormous strength to keep going when things got tough. Stay well 🫂🤗🥰

Hi Clark, If I had a cancer diagnosis, I would do three things... 1) eliminate all processed food, sugar, and other carbohydrates, especially grains, 2) an extended fast. 3) eat a lot of fermented food. The change in diet may slow the growth of cancer cells, and the autophagy process triggered from fasting turns old tired and broken cells into fuel. The high quantity of vegetables and fermented food help gut health, and the gut being the center of the immune system, needs to be in good shape to defeat the cancer. Obviously don't rely only on these strategies. Your doctor may or may not look at the simple things you can do first. It's likely not in their medical training. I wish you well, literally.
Yes, I totally agree, in 2023 I was diagnosed with cancer (Non Hodgkin Lymphoma), I did 6 sessions of chemotherapy and at the same time a keto diet, now a year has already passed since the diagnosis confirmed the total remission of the cancer, the first 2 years I am doing control every 6 months then only an annual check. I recommend looking online for the interviews of Dr. Thomas Seyfried who talks about this aspect, namely the fact that cancer cells feed predominantly on glucose and cancer itself is a metabolic disease.
Wow it seems crazy that I just got a UA-cam notification about this guy Seyfried and his lab at Boston college yesterday. I did not know of him or his work until yesterday. It was over an hour long interview from a UA-camr called The diary of a CEO. Seems like very good work!
Good advice. Although i have not had cancer (yet). I decided to take precautions years ago. Eat as little processed food as possible. Cut down on alcohol.i have no sugar anyway. I eat loads of fruit and veg. Swapped plastic food containers for glass ones. Walk everyday or when i can instead of using the car.

A few weeks ago I reached my enough point and was able to quit my job. Now Im getting my ship ready to start my sailing life. Just came back to costal NC from a trip with my mothorhome out west. Yes it is spectacular our in the high deserts of NM, UT, AZ, NV. Have never seen such stunning night skies as the high deserts and mountains. Even better that a thousand miles at sea on a clear moonless night. Thoughts and prayers for you with cancer. Sorry Clark wouldn't wish it on anyone,mine was removed infected 25 years ago, for the last 8 years I've had major issues after eating , multiple MRI ,CT , bile gallbladder nuclear tests...nothing .Last year i was in a bad accident part of accident 1/2 of my large intestine had to be removed the surgeons found adhesions whete the apendix was removed partially blocking flow from small to large intestine. They corrected this and I feel 10 years younger my energy is back and I've done more work around the house than the last 10 years. It was like 3 months recovery

Like you, I recently received a surprise and was diagnosed with a rare cancer. I’m currently wrapping up a chemo/radiation treatment regime and have good odds for recovery without further surgery. They can do amazing things these days. Best wishes and hang in there.
DANG - wish you all the best. On 28th januar 2022 I had at surgery for cordoma cancer 1 out of 2 million. 4,5 kilos crossbone and bone cancer removed. 5 months in hospital. I am out claiming my life back and I am a live - just kick in there, cant wait to get you back on the channel - all the best

Also I think taking the time to focus on the side of the business that's really fulfilling, and putting more space between you and the daily grind is a smart move. Just so long as you still own the business and can still decide the ultimate direction of the company, I think you've made a wise choice. And I hope to see more sailing videos soon! I still remember when I first discovered your channel, you were the first one to really draw me into sailing content, funny enough, because you were describing the technical aspects of sailing, owning and maintaining a boat, instead of just the "bikini girl on a yacht" style videos. But I am sorry about the divorce, I'm glad you're now able to continue living your life. Sometimes we get so emotionally entangled with someone that life without them feels like a part of us dying. "People think that grief slowly gets smaller with time. In reality, grief stays the same size. But slowly, life begins to grow bigger around it." And I'd love to see some RV videos as well! I'm an RVer myself and took my Tab 320S teardrop camper across the country and back last summer. I'm not sure what kinda rig you got, but the southwest is a beautiful place to go!

Like you, I recently received a surprise and was diagnosed with a rare cancer. I’m currently wrapping up a chemo/radiation treatment regime and have good odds for recovery without further surgery. They can do amazing things these days. Best wishes and hang in there.

DANG - wish you all the best. On 28th januar 2022 I had at surgery for cordoma cancer 1 out of 2 million. 4,5 kilos crossbone and bone cancer removed. 5 months in hospital. I am out claiming my life back and I am a live - just kick in there, cant wait to get you back on the channel - all the best
I'm sorry to hear about the cancer, man. I'm hopeful they really did catch it earlier and I've got my fingers crossed your back to 100% sooner rather than later!
Also I think taking the time to focus on the side of the business that's really fulfilling, and putting more space between you and the daily grind is a smart move. Just so long as you still own the business and can still decide the ultimate direction of the company, I think you've made a wise choice.
And I hope to see more sailing videos soon! I still remember when I first discovered your channel, you were the first one to really draw me into sailing content, funny enough, because you were describing the technical aspects of sailing, owning and maintaining a boat, instead of just the "bikini girl on a yacht" style videos. But I am sorry about the divorce, I'm glad you're now able to continue living your life. Sometimes we get so emotionally entangled with someone that life without them feels like a part of us dying. "People think that grief slowly gets smaller with time. In reality, grief stays the same size. But slowly, life begins to grow bigger around it."
And I'd love to see some RV videos as well! I'm an RVer myself and took my Tab 320S teardrop camper across the country and back last summer. I'm not sure what kinda rig you got, but the southwest is a beautiful place to go!

As a survivor (NHL) and living with for 18 years you get to write your own story. C has a habit of giving you real clarity. Live your own life, run your own race and take each day as it comes. Life is a journey not a destination, you will have bad days. There is a Buddhist fable about bears and strawberries 🍓 so look for the strawberries in every day. There will be there some days you have to look a little harder. Surround yourself with positive people you don’t need to support those that are supposed to support you. Ask lots of questions, write your questions down and take someone with you when you go to see drs. Don’t do this alone. I took to writing kind words and uplifting euphemisms that I came across on my wall at home, it filled 4x5m by the end. I only painted the wall when I sold the house 10 years later. It gave me enormous strength to keep going when things got tough. Stay well 🫂🤗🥰 plus I eat what I want, drink wine and should loose a few pounds, I avoid stress where ever I can, hence I sail.
