Sorry to hear you guys split up. Seems to be the way things usually go nowadays; most people I know have been through a breakup or divorce of one or more long-term relationships. My personal experience is that it takes me at least a year to get over it, so give yourself time and be kind to yourself. You aren't alone, and we're rooting for you!

Of all the names mentioned so far, I love “Clark’s Temptress”! It can go so many ways: 1) Literally, she’s your vessel; 2) Your future partner(s); 3) Your various entrepreneurial ideas/ventures.
Good luck landing on your feet again. I’ve always applied the “one year rule” to my personal traumatic events. That is, after the distance from a key event afforded by one year, one almost ALWAYS can look back and, with gratitude, understand exactly why that event was perfect for your future outcome. In my experience, this especially applies to break-ups. No matter how heartbroken I’ve been in the moment, there hasn’t been a single break-up I don’t see as a blessing, now. It’s opened doors to new relationships, new opportunities, and new happiness. It leaves no room for being a victim. I wish the same for you, Clark.

I went thru the same thing 6 yrs ago. Your're certainly not alone in this. I had good close friends and my (adult) kids to help me get past the first 6 months. After that I was pretty good. Moved permanently to Mexico. I date also, but tbh not much interested in a long-term relationship. I have discovered I love a drama free, single life. Honestly? I'd recommend you stay single for at least a year...get to know yourself. Lost my sailboat to the divorce...currently looking for another in Mexico.
    Best of luck to you.
"Clark's Adventure" probably makes the most sense.

Sorry to hear this. To be honest I had also left your channel about 2 years ago. You originally said the channel was about sailing the world, then you got stuck in luperon for about 3-4 years it seems. Anyway, sad Emily is gone. Maybe now you’ll scrape the barnacles off your hull and get traveling again. You don’t need a woman to go exploring, you might meet her on your way. Drop the lines and go.

I work at a hotel and often make connections with guests. Sometimes they're just passing through, and sometimes they stay for a while. I get to hear lots of different life experiences and stories. Many people will just tell me what is going on in their life, kind of like a mini therapy session.
I can tell you this, wanting to be loved is universal. For a long time I felt ashamed for wanting to be loved and married, especially because I could not seem to find anyone who wanted that with me. Was I broken?
No, it just takes time and yes, it's absolutely hard to be alone sometimes. Sometimes being alone doesn't feel freeing, it feels... well, alone. For me, I let my mind spiral and can end up in some pretty low places.
    Some thoughts for you:
    - It's okay to have waves of grief
    - It's okay to feel whatever feelings you feel
    - I find a lot of solace in being out in the community, volunteering, going to lectures, hell sometimes I just walk around the grocery store to feel like I had some human contact.
    - Be careful with your heart. You deserve to be loved well. Its hard to know how to protect your heart and allow someone in simultaneously...its something I'm still trying to figure out.
I'm a fan of Embark With Clark
    Much love your way.

I’m so sorry Clark to hear you two split up. While we love Temptress (such an awesome boat) the channel has never been just about Temptress, it’s been about you, your life and your adventures as well as your generous sharing of your valuable knowledge. “Sailing Temptress” as the channel name in my opinion doesn’t do it justice. As others have said, you said it in the beginning of every video “Clark on Temptress” is the most fitting I think. However “Clarks Adventures” works too. But I think it’s important to be “Clarks”.
I’m really looking forward to the coming Greece adventure. It’s been a bucket list place to sail for me!

Here are a few suggestion for the name. I am in the camp that you need to maintain some form up historical familiarity rather than a totally new brand: (1) Clark & Temptress's Adventure (2) The New Clark and Temptress Travels (3) SV Temptress and YOU (4) Clark's Journey with Temptress Continues.
    Here is what Gemini suggested:
    Keeping the Adventure Theme
Clark's Adventures: (Straightforward and maintains the core brand identity.)
Solo Adventures with Clark: (Clearly indicates a solo venture while keeping the adventure theme.)
The Next Chapter with Clark: (Suggests a new beginning while referencing the past.)
    Building on the Existing Brand
Clark's World: (Implies a broader scope of adventures.)
From Emily & Clark to Clark Alone: (Acknowledges the past while emphasizing the new direction.)
Clark's Journey: (Simple, yet effective in conveying the idea of a personal exploration.)
    Creating a New Identity
Clark Unleashed: (Implies a new sense of freedom and exploration.)
No Limits with Clark: (Suggests a fearless approach to adventures.)
Clark's Wild Ride: (Conveys a sense of excitement and unpredictability.)

The teak deck did it. I knew it would. I think "The Log of the Temptress" or "S.V. Temptress" - something along that line. "Clark on Temptress" is something you've said in videos dozens of times, and might be good. Sadly, sailing itself is nowhere near the eye-draw that maintenance is, but instruction is always good, so maybe sail to Greece - get the boat ready for an offshore passage - make a log day by day - problems, ups, downs, etc. Then arrive in Greece and show your viewers what you see. Best of luck.

I think sticking to Clark’s adventure would be better for you. Too many people give their channels or companies very niche or specific names and maybe they don’t want to be so specific. It just gives you an opportunity to include more without deviating from what people think is your original goal. Hopefully this makes some sense.

Its rare to find someone who wants the sailboat life full time, especially a lady. Everyone wants to go for a couple of weeks before returning to their normal life. Consider offering to let patreons cruise for a week or two before another one comes for a visit. You will get more patreons as people sign up for the "reality TV vacation" and you will get some help running the boat and a companion to impress with your travels. It can work until some lady comes along.

Since Emily has left and Clark is continuing the adventure with his boat "Tempress," it would be a good idea for Clark to rebrand his channel to reflect his personal journey and sailing lifestyle while still maintaining his established brand recognition. Here are a few ideas that keep the essence of his sailing adventures and his boat, Tempress:
    1. Clark's Tempress Adventures
This name highlights Clark as the primary figure of the journey while incorporating the boat's name, Tempress, as a key part of the identity.
    2. Sailing with Clark and Tempress
A straightforward rebranding that emphasizes both Clark and his boat Tempress as the new focus of the adventures.
    3. Clark’s Nautical Odyssey
This evokes a sense of grand adventure while still keeping it personal to Clark and his journey.
    4. Tempress Sailing Chronicles
Focusing more on the boat's name, this option suggests ongoing stories and adventures aboard Tempress, with Clark at the helm.
    5. Tempress Voyages with Clark
A slightly more classic feel, focusing on the voyage aspect and the partnership between Clark and his boat.
    6. Clark and the Tempress - Sail and Beyond
This gives a sense of future possibilities, highlighting that the journey is far from over and can evolve over time.
These suggestions maintain the core of Clark’s sailing brand while allowing for the departure of Emily without losing too much continuity. It's also important for Clark to update his channel description to reflect the change in crew while still focusing on the exciting and adventurous content his audience loves.

Oh Clark, that is tough news. I've struggled with much the same issue as I prefer to travel as well. Just purchased a 16' trailerable sailboat (so I can raise and lower the mast on my own) in addition to my Tartan 37 just for fun and to explore small lakes in the US. Sending positive thoughts your way. Your viids are a great education, honestly, I look to your playlist 1st. Be well.

The poet Snoop Dog has a great many things to say about relationships in his earlier writtings. I suggest taking some time to meditate on these things and keep them close to heart as you seek a new partner. 😃 Seriously, breakups are hard. Take your time and dont get married.

Somethings just end, not the way we ever thought it would end. Getting over it? I don't think anyone gets over a relationship that was a long term one. You move on, but you always take that glance behind you and wonder of what could have been. Women seem to handle it better in most cases, not sure why but they do. You are an excellent teacher in your video's, and I have learned plenty on subjects I thought I knew. Rest, regroup and take it slow. As the song goes, hold on loosely but don't let go. Be well, John

Sorry to hear your news. But you are right - life goes on. Everything for a reason - take the moments to cherish and leave the not so good behind. Life is one big adventure. Enjoy it.
I was going to suggest a name change to Clark on Temptress (as that is your catch phrase).
However, if you are looking at various modes of traveling, such as sailing, cars, trains, planes, hiking, or whatever may be - perhaps 'Clark takes on the world'?

She left him by the sounds of it. Women can be very like that. If she wanted to sail the World she could have bought her own boat, but like so many women they tend to just find a man who is already doing it and they "tag along" until they don't want to "tag along" anymore.
Just thought of a channel name, "Tag Along with Clark"

I just found your videos about a week or two ago and I’ve been looking at the batteries and I found this one on Amazon. It’s called XRH new energy. and they seem like they’re pretty good and it said 280 W hour 24 V battery and I’m sure you’ll find whoever you’re looking for. And you being on the sailing boat, you can go wherever in the world to.👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽

As you know I have quite some experience from “splitting” and sometimes it’s just a long process.
S/V Temptress is a great name if you want to keep sailing (then it’s more easy to introduce new crew). If you plan to quit sailing - Clark’s Adventures might be a better choice.

Relationship advice guaranteed worth the paper its printed on: avoid desperation, don't date seriously until you can be alone without being lonely. Doesn't take that long once you see the importance but it takes effort.
2nd, likewise worth the paper: make a shopping list of all womanly attributes positive & negative, all, then pick out all the deal killers (positives mean she doesn't have it the deal is dead, negatives if she has it the deal is dead). Negative deal killers are singly deadly (just 1 kills the deal), positives are cumulative i.e. a single positive missing is deadly (all or no deal).
Do the first thing first. Then, without anybody particularly in mind to poisonyour thinking, do the shopping list.
Then relax & go "fishing" & somebody will swim along

One thing I found in this process is I used tDCS to treat the depression and heartbreak (there are scientific findings that it's effective for both). I feel it made a significant and obvious improvement in my situation
It was so effective I might do a video on it sometime

@@EmilyAndClarkfascinating (had to look that up) especially that it apparently is useful for adhd. Learning, as defined as brain rewiring, strengthens & thickens synapses between memory units when we access those units. So one function of any relationship is the strengthening of links between related relationship memory units, & automation of accessing those units in triggered relationship scenarios. Couple that with the common idea 2 of the most stressful events in one's life will be loss of a spouse or child, and I can see the brain triggering rapid search mode for all relationship memory units nonstop, sort of like relationship adhd, only the relationship is gone causing rapid fire grief reinforcement.
Personally, I'd have to be up to my eyeballs in grief to consider newfangled electro-shock therapy. I hope you will be able to report on it's utter safety, as well as effectiveness. Maybe i've licked enough 9V batteries to conceptualize the mohms/cm^2 that maybe I'd try it. Maybe. Maybe especially if I was awash in grief

@@EmilyAndClark I would stay away from chemical isolates made in a lab (Rx) and take whole herbs grown in Nature to support the adrenals which control the whole endocrine system instead - such as Chaste Tree Berry, Wild Yam Root, Eleuthero Root, Rosemary, Gotu Kola, kelp and others. Look for strictly herbal formulas for the adrenals and mood/depression containing these and other whole herbs. tDCS sounds pretty scary. Isn't all the Wi-fi and dirty electricity, which must be pretty bad on a boat with so many electronics in such close quarters, bad enough? Our immune systems stress out and become inflamed whenever its regular rhythm is interrupted. Unnatural electrical and radiation stimulation is a known health hazard.
