Hey Sean, when the best time to drink your protein shake? Is it before or after your workout? Me and my buddy were arguing about this but he said it's better after your workouts. But I always thought it's better before you work out. That way you can absorb all the protein. Since you know I figured I'd ask you for help since I know you're straight up and know what's best.
Hey I have a question why would you use a leg press over squats
What's the most accurate way to calculate your BMR?

Austin Dunham's Shorts: "Here's why having my exact stats/attributes is perfect for every man."
Exactly lol. I remember when he made a video on why every man should be able to run one mile. He only said that because he can run it. 1 mile isn’t even hard
Then he said every man should be able to do 15 pull-ups. That’s because he can do it
@@_quixote is that a bad thing ??
like doing 15 pullups and being able to run a mile is not that hard toa chieve and it is not bad thing at least it promotes health that a average man at home can achive instead of sayin evry man should be able to bench 315lbs
Yeah im gonna have to disagree with yiu guys. 12 percent body fat 15 pullups and running a mile is pretty ok lol

15 is probably more realistic in terms of still living a pretty normal life while looking good and being strong.
Only with shit genetics
I'd imagine that 15 percent would still be quite lean too
Only for those who are more prone to fat gain
14-15% is the perfect balance if you ask me. 12% would probably be for the summer time only for me
Depends on genetics , some people can stay leaner easier than others but yeah for the majority of men 15% should be accessible as long as some awareness of macros is present and obviously active lifestyle with a decent amount of muscle mass
My 12% won't look like his 12% tho
😆. that part 👆🏼
Thats the point I have a homie who straight ip looks like that Prolly with 15
You need to build your body first bro

The fastest way to lower your body fat percentage is to keep changing the method of measuring it until you find the one that gives you a number you like.
He lost me at “without effort”.
Ehh 12 isnt really hard to maintain at all if you started skinny(like he did). Actively getting above 18 is a genuine struggle for me, eating normally and doing regular walking I sit at around 13
@@rednaxela5960 he said every guy and is using it as a universal answer though not for small guys
Black genetics. It takes a normal person years to just look like a 15 year old black kid 😂😂

can’t feel good when ur 25% bf 💀💀💀
Ive been at 12% and everything is true except the part that it requires no effort. Going from 15% to 12% is a biatch, and it absolutely required diet, cardio, and weight training, in my case.
Surprised I didn't see this elsewhere in the comments section. Realistic? Sure. No effort? Ehhhhh.
Well I think he means maintaining that 12%. Getting there would be harder than staying there. Once you're there, you can go back into maintenance.
@@JackgarPrime It's just as hard to maintain it. You think you're fin to diet and do cardio to get from 15% to 12% but then, once gettin to 12% you're just going to go back to your previous diet and habits and you won't gain the weight back? I've been slim my entire life, never over 16% BF, and mainting 12% is HARD if you're an adult with a job or career.
@@carlosrobles5591 Well it takes more effort to be in a caloric deficit than in a caloric balance. Oncee you've reached your goal weight and fat %, you no longer need to be in deficit. You just need to work out your new maintenance, which will be higher than whatever the deficit was. Maybe not massively so, but it'll still be easier than what it took to get there in the first place. It still might not be long-term sustainable depending on a wide multitude of factors, but it's still easier to stay in one place than to go down. Also, maintaining muscle is easier than building new muscle, and that's part of the fat % process, as well.
I'm a high school student , I work to close 5 days a week, my grades are greate , and I'm able to stay in 12 percent, you can't say you don't have time working just 8 hours a day

If you can be happy on 225g protein 50g fat and 275g carbs daily and workout regularly, I'd wager at least 75% of guys have the genetics for muscular 12% bf. Most of it comes down to how "normal" that food and exercise regimen feels.
@@deseosuho that’s what I am saying I think most of us cannot be happy on that kind of diet(training maybe we can)

Being 12% BF keeping you big as hell
15-18% for me. 12% is not a joke, I bet most people who think they are 12% are more like 15 or 16%. Sustaining that is not fun. Genetics plays a role with ab definition too. Some people have ab outlines @ 15%, some still have a small pouch stomach - skinnyfats especially.
Are you running?(Not on treadmill)....Throw in a mile run or 10 minute jump rope
25% here, you are not alone my brothers

I'm 45 and was there at $25 3 months ago, I'm at %17 now and the misses is treating me like a piece of meat. Personally, 16% - 18% is an easy medium.
You are an intelligent person. Very glad I found your feed. Thank you.
Bro I thought he was Jason derulo😂😂
He isn't??
From a longevity perspective, lower is better within the healthy range, provided the person does a lot of weight-bearing exercise. (Fracture risk increases slightly at the lower end of the range.)
Also true: Almost NOBODY actually knows their actual percentage, so the phony precision of 12% was super obnoxious.
I'll go further and just say that nobody, like at all, knows their fat percentage. All methods we have are pretty unreliable and have serious observarional errors, like 20% error at the very least. All this talk about body % only makes sense, when we just compare general numbers. 30% is obese, 20% is normal, 10% is lean, 5% is starving etc.
@@Averageenjoyer-br1zm Well put!

You should be able to maintain 12% if you are hitting your maintenance calories and exercising regularly.
12% is really not that hard to maintain if your eating healthy and actually working out
@@kingsgoldThat's complete horseshit. Everyone's appetite, neat, time for exercise, propensity to build fat and muscle, living conditions and so on are different.
Why are people morbidly obese in the first place? Some people eat to hunger and become skeletons. Other people eat to hunger and become blubber balls.

Most cross country runners and track sprinters easily have sub 10% body fat year-round and are extremely healthy. Once you get used to it, it doesn't feel awkward since it's just normal. Yes, it's harder to gain muscle without a fat surplus, but by no means is sub 10% body fat unhealthy or unsustainable.

Sean, apologize if you've posted this somewhere else, what body fat % do you sit at consistently? Thanks
This is 100% true. Over the past few years, I have experimented with different body fat percentages. I have been down to as low as 8% which looks great shirtless, but makes you look skinny with clothes. Plus, it had horrible side effects for me like bad sleep, depression, etc. I’ve been around 14 or so percent but I just didn’t like how that looked. For me, 12% is the sweet spot in terms of looks, sustainability, health, and performance.
