The fact that they actually have 3 expansions planned out is a GOOD thing. I love classic, and am really excited about things to come in that space, but man classic fans can be insufferably petty and childish.

@@shawnmallon-h2p that’s the point of all of this. If they did this and called in classic+ people would shit on it and it would be dead from day 1. Personally, I think the approach with one cohesive storyline for the next couple expansions is exactly what we've needed for the past 20 years. Every time a new expansion has been announced, we have left the old zones, travelled to a new location and all content has been revolved around that leaving the old content for dead. The expansion stories haven't been tied together in any way, which has left parts like Sargeras huge sword up in the air for so long. I'm glad that they are now focusing on ONE cohesive story while reusing the old world as well (Quel'Thalas, The Sunwell, Northrend). With that said: it seemed like a lot of people didn't see how this *potentially* can be a reset. If we look at the expansion titles and what Chris Metzen mentioned about each of them, we will be dealing with the void and something "terrible" will happen. Based on the last title, Azeroth will be the last remaining titan based on what unfolds during these 3 expansions. My assumption is that we try to heal the world in the first expansion, the void arrives and tries to consume the light in the second one and the titans arrive to drive the void away in the third one resulting in a huge clash resulting in only the world Azeroth remaining. With that, they can reset the world, the game and the lore (Final Fantasy style). Might be a crazy hypothesis, but that is my take nonetheless.

If you ask me, between al the puns and refferences, and the quality difference between the cinematic and the game itself, it feels like Wow is going to end with this Worldsoul Saga. And then Wow 2 will happen.
The WoW team is the only reason i care about Act/blizz, they have had such a turn around it's not perfect by any means but they are putting in the work.
I got a dh to max lvl once and now between classic and retail I have 2 lvl 80's and every single class on retail plus a lot x2. I can't be bothered leveling in normal let alone HC
its still amazing that people hate cata because of one bad raid that was to hard for them at the end of the expansion. cata was a good pve and pvp expansion players just wernt good enough to beat the last boss.
I am so glad u admitted that, exactly like I said, people think cata was the downfall but it wasn't, that was just the time people were getting over it. Wow players seem to think that wow needs to entertain them for life giving them the same uphoria they had as kids but will never happen
i just hope they arent lazy anymore in terms of tier sets and give every class a good looking one, not some cheap recolor for all plate wearers etc.....
Too many things dropping at once, dammit. New tier drops in retail shortly, it feels like HC just came out, even though it's already been like 6 weeks or something, and then SoD at the end of this month.
How can you be confused about what the worldsoul saga is. They said exactly what it is and they couldn't have spelled it out any clearer. Try opening you ears.
everyone that was hyped about a classic plus where they add abunch of old cut content are the biggest copium addicts bc bliz was NEVER going to do that. bliz was always going to do the bare minimum when it comes to classic wow. oh and i dont understand why xaryu is confused for, like its litteraly one big expac spread across 3 instead of one where they wouldve had to cut stuff is my assumtion. doing it in three allows them to write a cohesive story they hopefully makes sense and not a random ass bullshit like SL was. the fact that EVERYTHING is made by robots is kinda lame asf. they shouldve had them being etheral beings they take forms we humanoid can understand. instead of robots with a hologram over their bodies
An MMO that is splitting it's player base over 3-5 different versions? Either they will all feel dead or 1 will have everyone in it. My guess is classic + for a max of 2 mths then back to retail then cata when it releases. There will be non stop complaining about how classic plus is not classic plus once everyone realises that they have not tuned and balanced and in fact done the exact opposite making warlocks be able to throw up all their dots then go bear form.
I swear people bitch about not having classic plus but SoD is literally classic plus its just not called what you want it to be called. You wanted Classic with new shit...so you got it.
30:40 no wonder people still think wow has an alright story if the average wow player thinks that the voice from within Azeroth is fucking Sylvanas or Alexstrazsa...
I think L's are because for Classic+ I believe people were hoping for them to update classes to be on par with each other in some regard. maybe some updated fights, and fix some glitchy things that killed alot of people in hardcore, but at least keep it to what is essentially the core game. This just felt like they were shoveling in retail related content into classic, as well as completely undermining the leveling experience with a 10man raid with loot that will more than likely ruin the experience, and end up creating a bunch of boosting characters through unnecessary means, which will ultimately ruin the leveling experience as a whole. I am however happy about the prospect of a earlier game chance of socializing within the game. only time will tell though.
its basically 1 expansion split into 3 to keep player retention..a lot of players leave after a xpan and they want to plug that by making the expansions lure and hold players in for longer...its a good business model albeit a little sinister but were talking about a billion dollar company here so money is all they think about
Your chat is the most toxic and nihilistic one I’ve seen. I genuinely feel sorry for Xar having to look at that anytime he feels excited and instantly be brought down by their negativity. Bitter lonely doomer’s attached to a 20 year old dead version of an otherwise thriving game
They think that adding mechanical complexity to classes is what will improve the game. Classic is a simple game, that's why it was so appealing and still is appealing.
Cata was trash in the beginning, why would classic players want to play a pay to win version? We don't want that ez mode retail trash. I guess we will just have to show them by our large numbers of people not resubscribing to their ez mode pay to win trash like we did when they announced the token for wotlk classic and like we did for the og cata. But to me they have taken the same proverbial road as budlight. They have gone too far this time and not coming back. Have fun with your ez mode pay to win trash you casual noobs.
cause nobody wants cata classic except retail players and they'll quyit playing it within a week or 2. We've strayed too far with classic, it should've been classic+ ever since the original launch of classic. IDK why they even waited this long to start development on it.
What are u confused about, it's just one big story over 3 expansions. In other words kind of like classic through to wotlk. There will be a big boss we will spend 3 exp building up too then there will be a big raid at the end. Literally that is it. SOD will be fun for the 3 day leveling process then once max level gear will be acquired then all the good players will get the craps about the BS tank locks and most likely the rogues with shadowstrike which is essentially shadowstep but with a tank ability and maybe all with a mage healer with unlimited poly and quit then all the community will blame the game for being unbalanced and not admit that they are actually bad at the game and after 2mths max they will all quit. Servers will have transfers for free just like classic always has because 99% leave. Funniest thing in all of this is that I strongly believe of all the expansions brought out in classic cata will be the one that is played and enjoyed the most because it has so many features that classic was missing meaning that even new players can have a real turn of everything unlike classic before. Ultimately it will end as it always does with everyone back on retail
crazy that people who just have no clue what they're talking about always have the most to say. trying to cope that classic cata will be "the one that is played and enjoyed the most" is literally the take of a deranged autist and you should feel embarrassed. nobody who likes classic cata will play classic cata, it'll just be a shittier version of retail to them and they'll go back within the month. everyone who doesn't like retail or cata (most classic players) will return to other classic eras, because despite whatever you need to tell yourself to feel good about your gay superiority complex over a lame mmo many people play classic Also SOD will have a level cap for a while before rising, you can't grind to max immediately. literally cannot fathom typing so much about something you didn't even pay attention to, they straight up bully this stuff out of you in elementary english homie

Cata classic: i missed out on the goblim starting zone the first time, i'll be doing that. Then back to Hardcore!
Who’s ready to get the achievement stood in the fire xD
One of my all time favourite WoW achievements!
Chris is one of us. He is a geek. He is the soul of the game. Pun intended.
Metzen gives me hope
7:12 HAHAHAHAHAHA HE HAD A BINGO CARD LMAOOOOOOOOOO. URE THE BEEEST BROO HAHAHAHAHa
It's a saga...which means it's a continuence which can't be contained in one expansion. It's 3 expansions.
That wrap up video... Where's Starcraft?!? I need more Starcraft games!!
If you ask me, between al the puns and refferences, and the quality difference between the cinematic and the game itself, it feels like Wow is going to end with this Worldsoul Saga. And then Wow 2 will happen.
They will do the infamous Karazhan Dungeons into a raid in Season of Discovery, I'm rooting for you Classic players 😊
Can't wait for The Warlods Of Draenor expansion to come out!
The WoW team is the only reason i care about Act/blizz, they have had such a turn around it's not perfect by any means but they are putting in the work.
when did Xar's chat get so toxic?
Bunch of dumb classic andies
Had the big dragon rework the world Azeroth a decade ago. We begged for the old world back and now their gonna wreck the outside zones again
Great reaction, other streamers weren't very hype at all
xaryu is paid to be hyped
I got a dh to max lvl once and now between classic and retail I have 2 lvl 80's and every single class on retail plus a lot x2. I can't be bothered leveling in normal let alone HC
the chat negativity in stream is hilarious and pathetic XD
its still amazing that people hate cata because of one bad raid that was to hard for them at the end of the expansion.
cata was a good pve and pvp expansion players just wernt good enough to beat the last boss.
they left way to many cliff hangers to the point where i have no idea what there hell there talking about...
Someones workin late
I am so glad u admitted that, exactly like I said, people think cata was the downfall but it wasn't, that was just the time people were getting over it. Wow players seem to think that wow needs to entertain them for life giving them the same uphoria they had as kids but will never happen
...it's just like chasing the first high from any drug you've ever done. You can't get it back.
Cata is the official road to Retail, so silly to call it "Classic," but it may be a decent expac
i just hope they arent lazy anymore in terms of tier sets and give every class a good looking one, not some cheap recolor for all plate wearers etc.....
holly confirmed arakoa
I'm hoping they dont sell it as 3 sets of 60 dollar expansions....
Try opening you ears.
imagine being a chatter calling Matzen cringe
Classic andies are cringe
Man what happened to your chat Xaryu lmao, it's like a support group for classic boomers at this point
everyone that was hyped about a classic plus where they add abunch of old cut content are the biggest copium addicts bc bliz was NEVER going to do that. bliz was always going to do the bare minimum when it comes to classic wow. oh and i dont understand why xaryu is confused for, like its litteraly one big expac spread across 3 instead of one where they wouldve had to cut stuff is my assumtion. doing it in three allows them to write a cohesive story they hopefully makes sense and not a random ass bullshit like SL was. the fact that EVERYTHING is made by robots is kinda lame asf. they shouldve had them being etheral beings they take forms we humanoid can understand. instead of robots with a hologram over their bodies
classic+ finally here !!
It’s Gary not jerry for sar-gar-es not sarjerres
God, chat is always so insufferable in these kinds of videos. Never satisfied with anything 💤💤 why cant people be optimistic
its because classic andy's like them are the most miserable people on the planet, they could be given riches and still be pissed
At least youre ahead of the curve and are already complaining.
I think SoD is just a beta. They will throw random shit at it and see what sticks for Classic+.
@@janah6473 the wow player specialty
banishing the void forever speaks only the end for azeroth, which is the last titan. azeroth is a prison always has been. wow 2 after
I swear people bitch about not having classic plus but SoD is literally classic plus its just not called what you want it to be called. You wanted Classic with new shit...so you got it.
Is Chris the retro voice of thrall and peons and grunts and such?
Me not that kind of orc
Amazing news ! Can’t wait for new retail. Retail over classic 🎉
so yeah 3 expenasions on the same max level. kinda nice. ngl.
I am however happy about the prospect of a earlier game chance of socializing within the game. only time will tell though.
bro classic is already a thing and has been played OUT its OVER - time to add new content now grandpa
Like that's your opinion maaaan. You can play classic Era over and over and over and never have to worry about these shoveled changes.
It's SARGG-ARAS
its basically 1 expansion split into 3 to keep player retention..a lot of players leave after a xpan and they want to plug that by making the expansions lure and hold players in for longer...its a good business model albeit a little sinister but were talking about a billion dollar company here so money is all they think about
i cringe seeing xaryus chat shit on cata KEKW mfers dont know a good expansion when they see it
I watched everything once, and Chris Metzen 5 more times
I love games as much as the next guy but you have gigavirgin energy lmao
season of discovery is just a copy of wow ascension. you can already do these class altering things.
the frickin edgy boi culture in your chat... its just sad to read
SOD sounds hype af. Cata classic not so much. Classic era will die after wotlk
Would have preferred the twitch chat hidden tbh. So many people don't know to simply be quiet about things they aren't into.
Read what you just said. “Being quiet” has nothing to do with typing or reading lol you don’t have to read the chat. Cry baby
So...Its time to get back...
Your chat is the most toxic and nihilistic one I’ve seen. I genuinely feel sorry for Xar having to look at that anytime he feels excited and instantly be brought down by their negativity. Bitter lonely doomer’s attached to a 20 year old dead version of an otherwise thriving game
You definitely were pronouncing Sargeras wrong lol.
classic andy's are some of the most miserable people on earth, we don't even know much about the new expac and they're already malding...kinda funny
They think that adding mechanical complexity to classes is what will improve the game. Classic is a simple game, that's why it was so appealing and still is appealing.
Dude, this chat sucks, omg people are so negative
yea
holly king
so basically ff14
i'm not humoring cata without them giving solid evidence of changes. Because they didn't say pretty much anything about it.
Gotta say...how many different dwarfs do we need? I certainly hope this is the beginning of the end of this version of WoW and the prelude to "WoW2".
yea no they said world soul is the base for the next 20 years of wow not the end of it
hate the chat ngl
How do u play wow for 20 years and not know about azeroth’s world soul… lol
I think they overhyped the reveal of retail stuff. But over 3 expacs, they could easily shift WoW retail into WoW 2.
You should ban half your live chat... what a salty folk
WHY DONT GET GET MOVIES LIKE THIS!!?!?!?!?!?!?
The classic shit is hella boring, leave that shit in the past
Wow your a good actor. pretending like you didnt know lol
The Money grab by blizz here is nuts .....
Xaryu looks like a ferret lol
Manduin
retail expan????? DF.20???? GG blizzard im done
feels like more people got hyped from classic
cause nobody wants cata classic except retail players and they'll quyit playing it within a week or 2. We've strayed too far with classic, it should've been classic+ ever since the original launch of classic. IDK why they even waited this long to start development on it.
@@danny7694 because they had no idea how people would receive classic. I agree it definitely should've happened way earlier though
Can we stop being so based? Its ruining my copium
no1 who plays for classic ends up on retail. what kinda take is this lmao
crazy that people who just have no clue what they're talking about always have the most to say. trying to cope that classic cata will be "the one that is played and enjoyed the most" is literally the take of a deranged autist and you should feel embarrassed.
nobody who likes classic cata will play classic cata, it'll just be a shittier version of retail to them and they'll go back within the month. everyone who doesn't like retail or cata (most classic players) will return to other classic eras, because despite whatever you need to tell yourself to feel good about your gay superiority complex over a lame mmo many people play classic
Also SOD will have a level cap for a while before rising, you can't grind to max immediately. literally cannot fathom typing so much about something you didn't even pay attention to, they straight up bully this stuff out of you in elementary english homie
@@TiltedMarc it’s the opposite of based man. it’s the same stuff people were saying when classic was originally announced, then they were wrong. it is both cringe and gay to basically do a repeat of it, except this time there’s an even higher chance of being wrong. not based, not based at all
