I could honestly listen to Pyro talk wow conspiracies all day. That year where that was the entire channel was the most I ever watched you. Why blizzard isn't reaching out to you about creative writing is beyond me.
The weirdest part about the Titan-Old God thing is that they said you cannot kill the Old Gods, but we did. They said the Old Gods wanted to corrupt Azeroth but they didn’t in like 10’s of thousands of years? Why not? They easily had enough time. Then they are imprisoned inside the planet when they could have been defeated? I want to see what’s happening next
Are you f*ing kidding me? I just watched the announcement to the next three expansions and I was talking about how sad it is that Pyro doesn’t do WoW stuff anymore (which was totally understandable after Shadowlands) and then this video pops up?! Holy shit! I’ve watched it immediately and I’m hopeful for what’s to come for the game. That’s the shit I’ve wanted to see since the end of Legion whenever Sargeras hit THAT sword into Azeroth. Pyro, did you see the announcement, are you excited?
Oh god I hope you are back! I used to listen to your videos when I was working at my warehouse job during the overnights and that's how I got my WoW lore fix. Im so excited now.
The magnificent lore of WOW is the reason why I found you, Pyro. You're the man! So excited to see the story unfold over the span of the World Soul Saga
I have missed this so much. As hesitant as I am to invest time into this game again, you breathe so much life into the potential of the story using the pieces that have been built.
I just realized that the new "Light-like" power of the Arathi that was shown in the BlizzCon presentation could be a lore setup to justify that all the priest and paladin can still use the "Light" after it turns against us.
Love how deep the theories go. Studying the inspiration to understand the WoW lore is very important and i think Pyro is the first youtuber speculating on WoW lore that does it
100% keep up the lore spec videos, so good to see you back in action, and its clear that other creators have taken your ideas for their own videos - also still can't believe one of them came up with "Lifelands" as a thing 😂

In my headcanon, The Naaru are an unbelievably ancient race that shed their fleshy bodies to go into the void and stand toe-to-toe with the void entities to fight them.
To add on to the whole light reversing time to heal, in the Opening cinematic of BFA when Andiun calls upon the light to res the fallen, it almost look like he was rewinding time to bring everyone back to life. Not actually healing them but reversing that pocket of the timeline to reverse the result of death.
Was catching up on the Blizzcon reveal (after taking a wow hiatus during shadowlands till present) and was like where’s Pyro to theorize?! Glad to see you talking about it again 😊
As someone only recently returning to WoW after being incredibly angry at it for a couple of years, it's so cool to hear your takes on things again. Your theories were my favourites, and I loved listening to you talk things out and share your process and ideas. ♥
Wait so at 26:20 you are talking about burning the world tree. So do you think Sylvanas burned Teldrassil and from the lost souls the new Worldtree-Seed is created.
What did they do? Sylvanas was always a cunt. Sylvanas didn’t want to be damned and she believe that was an unjust fate. She sided with the Jailer because he said he would fix it. He lied because what he really wanted domination.
Are all worlds titan cages? In the OG map image, along with the clouds/mists around Azeroth we also see the interrupted outlines on each planet. Could they represent titan stasis cages?
i watched all your old speculations and loved it, genuinely made me sad after seeing everything they made after legion my only hope is that metzen has time to oversee what the writers are doing and stops them from repeating their mistakes
my conspiracy is that pyro has been working for the wow story team for years and switched to ff14 because he was too busy working at blizzard to play wow so he had to play a game like ff14 where you can play it super casually
I think it's really cool that you make comparisons with WoW to Ancient mythology, cos a lot of players don't (for whatever reasons) and it's a shame cos I think it makes the WoW storyline a lot easier to understand. Sargeras is to Aman'Thul (Titans) what Set (Sutekh) was to Ra (Egyptian mythology). Also Amun 'Thul and Ra-Den are a crossover of Amun-Ra where Amun was the Night Sky, Ra was the Sun (but Amun was introduced later on through the Hyksos Reign). The Greek/Romans were obsessed with the Egyptians and tried to assimilate their Gods into their own culture in later history as well as pass them off as their own creation. The Egyptians and Sumerians were known for having superior technology (for that time) and it was Enlil (Sumer) that deemd the Nephlim (WoW version would be the Nathrezim I guess) to be flawed and wanted to wipe them out against Enki's wishes. Enlil was the Defender of Earth...kind of like how Sargeras and Neltharion and The Primus were also Defenders (basically Military Commanders who ended up staging a Military Coup).
really interesting the theory that all healing has to do with time. For the nature heals its more obvious "regrowth","wild growth","rejuvenation". In SoD we see mages use arcane to heal, and there its very obvious that its about time too "Temporal Beacon", "rewind time".
Dude you're cooking. Any chance we could get a new recap prep video for people coming back for the saga, I have a some friends that could really use a structured total recap with the main beats so they can come into the saga knowing what they need to know. Patreon access maybe ? Thanks
14:25 - The Etherals wanted the Void to become immortal Ehhm.. So the Etherals are basically the Necrons from Warhammer 40k. Spoke to a God-level entity that promised them eternal Life but did so by stripping their souls from their bodies and put them into machines (Etherals are now instead just Energy-beings)..
I'm wondering if azeroth is going to be more than a titan. Titans are born from world souls but by their influence. It always sounded like to me that world souls could become anything. Cuz amanthul went around making more titans from world souls but sargaeras mention what he saw a worldsoul become with void influence terrified him what if azeroth is a worldsouls that grows to be influenced by us and doesn't turn into a being but stays a planetary body. And if she did emerge from the planet it might end up like argus where it was still a hospitable planet but sundered in two
@@phatymcdaddy I think its either: 1. Something way stronger than Titans-A chief Titan if you will. 2. Same thing as 1. but corrupted to the core. Honestly, Azeroth is such a Lovecraftian name. It sounds so similar to Azathoth which is strongest Outer God in Cthulhu Mythos. Guess what? He is also sleeping/dormant and when he awakens everything ceases to exist. ''it might end up like argus where it was still a hospitable planet but sundered in two'' Oh shit, post-apocalyptic Azeroth. That would be sick, but I will rather like to see a planet wide exodus through Dark Portal into some unknown planet. It would be a nice setup for Warcraft 4 or WoW 2 if they ever decide to do it. They could create whole new factions in Warcraft 4. No more Horde versus Alliance, but something new. Something fresh.
Does anyone else find it a little strange that in the final legion cinematic Sargeras was just kinda chilling in a cloud around Azeroth before we show up and the titans call him back? Seems like he would have had plenty of time to stab the planet before then and, once he is recalled, he just kinda lets go of his sword when it looks like he could have finished the job. I haven’t closely followed WoW lore since Cata, but, if the original story that Sargeras found Azeroth infected with Old Gods prompted his crusade is still canon, could you see them adding some sort of deeper connection between Azeroth and Sargeras that we haven’t heard about? Perhaps Sargeras could have communicated with Azeroth and established some form of familial or romantic bond with the titan soul (age and relationships are kinda weird when it comes to gods in mythology) that drove him to free her from her imprisonment by means of a non-fatal wound. Idk, but it’s fun to ramble 🤷♂️
No... KEEP COOKING! You caught me with that "World is a prison"... ties back to what you were saying.... I mean she did literally shatter the skybox and show us that everything we knew about the lore is wrong or something... Now I personally ignore everything that happened once we got into shadowlands... but that was fun food for thought.
Hmm is it possible that Amanthul veiled Azeroth to hide her from Sargeras, and when Illidan used the sargerite crystal it allowed Sarg to "see" through the veil and do the stabby thing? I know Sargeras has technically been to Azeroth before, but I believe it would have been using portal magic rather than traditional physical access. Perhaps he could not physically interact with Azeroth from outside the veil until Legion.
Azeroth appears to radiate all colours. I believe she IS the clockmaker and the Titans have emprisoned her just like the Greek Gods defeated the Titans. And also believe that the Titans are not Titans. They are just constructs. They have never created life. Just other constructs like themselves. Although I hated SL it did show us that all the Gods, Eternals, Titans, etc.. are just constructs.
i bet war within- we find out azeroth is already corrupted and we save her. - we come back to surface for midnight to deal with the old gods who survived and kept corrupting her - then.. the last titan, the titans return, azeroth is born and pulls the sword out of the planet and kills the other titans
In a “did you know?” Thing for blizzcon, a little thing on the bottom, one of them said “Amirdrassil rearranged says DISARM LAIRS”. Hmmm. Hhhhhhmmmmmmmmm.
I wish there was some condensed format for showing people this side of the lore, many people I know are worried about the Last Titan because "Titans have always been the good guys, Blizz stop retconning shit" (paraphrased)
So apparently, the crystal in the Arathi zone was flat out denied to be the tip of the Sword. So what the actual fuck is a presumably Naaru crystal (it transitions between light and void, they showed that off in the deep dive panel and it apparently called the Humans down to there) doing lodged into the ceiling of a cavern that, judging from the sword denial, would be somewhere around/under Lordaeron/Arathi, in that bit of the world?
Check the Tauren Lore for Lo'sho (Elunaria) it literaly says, "Unbeknownst to the Earth Mother, her tear fell to the earth and from it sprung a new life: a baby glowing blue with life and light, kin to the spark that burned in both Sun and Moon".. I agree the Sun we "see" going up above Azeroth in our days is actually Elunaria(Lo'sho) and not the "original" sun(An'she). Now guess three times where An'she has gone...
I'd like to point out that Time magic as it is seen in DF looks a lot like the Light, if you ignore the sand-y aspect of it. It looks radiant, it looks warm, and before DF most of the Time spells looked a lot more like Light than they did Arcane, even if Chronomancy is supposed to be Arcane magic. The Lightbound also trap Mag'har in some kind of timeless state, or at least the Naaru does, which suggests the Naaru do have at least some power over Time, something that should definitely concern the Bronze Dragonflight, but they seem oddly fine with that stuff. On another note, Divine magic is the sub-school of magic when you mix Arcane and Light together. The beam in Uldir when you blast G'huun LOOKS like Light, it literally looks like a pure ray of holy energy. You see similar forms of energy used in DF, almost as if they want to portray that as 'Titan magic'. Even the Watchers on the Dragon Isles have these kind of spells that look Holy, but deal Arcane damage. Lot of connection there, seemingly.
Priests summoning Naaru is quite old thing. Holy priests can summon Naaru to aid them since 7.2 empowerment of their artifact T'uure which has been a thing ever since.
As soon as I heard metzen’s proposal it got me thinking and I thought to myself man this is kind of interesting it’s sad pyro doesn’t make wow videos anymore as I’m sure he has some hot takes for this lore and I go to your channel and find this. Awesome. Hopefully the story will actually make a turn for the better.
Ok wait a minute so you’re telling me he said all this randomly on a stream weeks before blizzcon with absolutely no idea that everything he talked about related directly to the next three expansions? Bro how does he do it every time??
I feel that the conspiracy of the titans and Azeroth will take up the concept of the Celestials in Marvel: they create order in the universe like the titans, regulate a very specific planet to prepare the birth of a world-soul, but in return, the planet must disappear. Imagine that the planet Azeroth is a shell, and the world-soul is a chick. To be born he must break his shell. Let's be serious for two seconds, do you honestly think that the life of an entire civilization concerns the titans? Algalon had told us in the past that the Pantheon razed people because they were, according to them, unstable and uncontrollable.
i sub to alot of that "theories" actually for a very long time.. Man its an exciting time to see WoW finally finding maybe a greater storyline in a small cadence. I hope i live that long.
I feel like Pyro could have shortened the explanation of re-origination by saying "Dr. McCoy 's worst-case-scenario for the Genesis device from Star Trek II".
i had to do a double take i was like wait was that an osrs sound.. and it was. Also i would love to see you deep dive into runescape lore.. its way more complex than people give it credit for

I agree the Sun we "see" going up above Azeroth in our days is actually Elunaria(Lo'sho) and not the "original" sun(An'she). Now guess three times where An'she has gone...
Why did the titans consider us worth deceiving before any of us existed?
It is so warm and fuzzy to hear the passion of Pyro speak wow lore again.🫂
The whole infinite loop is a StarCraft thing right? Pretty sure that’s what the Xel’naga want to keep happening
And then Kerrigan comes along and breaks it. So fucking dope. Kinda reminds me of someone we know... :)
Dude, you could make this 50 minutes long and I would still watch it
I'd like to point out that Time magic as it is seen in DF looks a lot like the Light, if you ignore the sand-y aspect of it.
He keeps saying he needs to stop when he needs very badly to not stop.
loves the video, we need you back
I feel that the conspiracy of the titans and Azeroth will take up the concept of the Celestials in Marvel: they create order in the universe like the titans, regulate a very specific planet to prepare the birth of a world-soul, but in return, the planet must disappear.
Boys...is he cookin again!!!??!
i sub to alot of that "theories" actually for a very long time.. Man its an exciting time to see WoW finally finding maybe a greater storyline in a small cadence. I hope i live that long.
Whatever happened to the Sargerite Keystone anyway??
this is why we love you Pyro! 😂🙂🙏
Pyro back? let's go!!
“20 years in the making y’all” suuuure blizzard, suuuuure.
it technically is
Younailed it. Imagine... we are going to azeroths core ❤❤❤❤😂
I feel like Pyro could have shortened the explanation of re-origination by saying "Dr. McCoy 's worst-case-scenario for the Genesis device from Star Trek II".
i had to do a double take i was like wait was that an osrs sound.. and it was. Also i would love to see you deep dive into runescape lore.. its way more complex than people give it credit for
Wow, he’s coming back, the prodigal son? 😂😂😂😂😂
This guy should be the story director of wow fr
