- In this vlog we will show you things to do in Hanoi. We will take on a tour of the Hanoi West Lake and show you many tourist attractions in Hanoi Vietnam. Sit back and come with us when we exploring Hanoi on a cold winter day.
We will start this Hanoi vlog trying some local Banh mi then we will "try" to explore popular Hanoi west lake and Tran Quoc Pagoda. Next stop on our Hanoi tour will be famous "Hanoi Hilton" Hoa Lo Prison. After quick coffee break in Cong Ca Phe and sampling some delicious Vietnamese coffee we will go to

As a Vietnamese person, I apologize for the incident at Tran Quoc Pagoda. We basically don't care where you come from, only if you do something that they consider to be a violation of the sanctity of a sacred place. For example, filming too much in places of worship, talking too loudly or touching unauthorized artifacts, or picking fruit from trees in the temple. Anyway, I wish you a nice trip to Vietnam, hope you have beautiful experiences in Vietnam about the culture, cuisine, landscape and friendliness of Vietnamese people.

Nhưng rất đáng tiếc văn hóa người Việt vẫn còn hẹp hòi lạc hậu, thô lỗ nên từ già đến trẻ đến cha mẹ đến thầy cô giáo đến chính phủ lãnh đạo đều có đầu óc tư tưởng ích kỉ, tham lam gian lận trộm cắp, thiếu ý thức vứt rác iả đái bừa bãi, thiếu trật tự lộn xộn ồn ào, làm ăn buôn bán ẩu tả gian lận. Vì vậy, xã hội thành phố lúc nào cũng lộn xộn ồn ào, bẩn thỉu dơ dáy, lường gạt trộm cắp khắp nơi.
Bọn 3 que mà không hòa nhập với văn hóa nước người ta thì vẫn sinh sống không khác gì lũ chuột đi đến đâu cũng cắn phá trộm cắp hủy hoại.
As a Vietnamese, it’s a shame to admit that Vietnam will remain a third world slum country for years to come because of the mediocre and slum culture, that people litter indiscriminately, sell unhygienic and unsafe food.

Also for the visa, I was told it was cheaper to apply outside of the country. Is that for the ED VISA? If so, does that mean you have to apply at the Thai embassy? 🤔
Hey 😉 no this is not for the ED visa, I was applying for the non O visa and yes had to be done outside of the country 😉👍

The tour guide most likely did not like the fact that you guys did not sign up to do a tour with them so when they saw you taking video and pictures would be my guess lol...Wished I was there to confront that guide on your behalf. I have never had a Banh Mi sandwich served with lettuce ever 😋

Question: are you guys ever planning to go outside of Bangkok such as Isiam areas??? Like Udon Thani. I was from there but lived in Bangkok until I moved here in USA since I was 17th years old. Youre not meant to photograph or video inside any buddhist temple in any country. I think she thought you guys would film the buddha statue. Anyway Diggy, dont let that get you down!! ❤
Really? We don't have this kind of rule in Thailand. guest can take photos or videos of whatever they want as long as they don't make a loud noise or disturb others and if some Big Temple doesn't want you to take photos or videos, they will put the sign very clearly at the front that you can see before you get in. 🙂
@@chajang I thought in Thailand you aren't allowed to take a photo of Buddha or not allowed to stand in front of Buddha and take a photo? I know in Japan you definitely can't take a camera inside any temple.
@@krisbrand354 I think only 10% of temples in Thailand that not allowed you to films Buddha, mostly important temples like the emerald Buddha in Royal temple. But other than that nobody will stop you. Especially if you films around the temples area nobody will push you out for sure 😀 you can see from many UA-camrs's videos.
We did enjoy the day after all 😉👍 and we had great time. We were just confused as there was no sign not to film in the temple.
Unfortunatelly we did not know the rules of the temples in Vietnam as we are tourist and do not follow that religion. Good day after all anyway 🥰👍
Yeah Thailand in general is very relaxed on tge rules in the temples. Very often monk also approaches Danny for a chat which we find absolutely great as we can always learn a bit of the culutre.

It's about how they were taught. Thai culture has been shaped by Buddhism to respect and give. Meditating monks and people also share many wisdom to build the country. Communism culture depends on how the leader teach people, usually nothing.
can you mention how Buddhist culture taught your government to support and sponsor a genocidal regime such as Pol Pot? The Vietcong certainly didn't do that
The person who requested not to film at the temple is a Buddhist. As Buddhists, they believe in Buddha and do not participate in any political organizations, not only in Vietnam but everywhere. Furthermore, there are no communist party members who are Buddhists. Vietnam's population is 100 millions but there are only 4 millions communists, not all Vietnamese are communist. In Vietnam, there has never been a leader like the current king in Thailand, who lives in a luxurious villa in Bavaria, Germany, has many wives, owns 34 billions US dollars and runs the country from Germany. You are a Thai person and need to carefully research the information before criticizing Vietnam or other nations.
As far as I see, that is a Chinese temple, not Buddhist temple. You should visit Thailand to see what the real Buddhism temples look like. There are monks who teach people do and don't. One thing they teach is not to discriminate. Don't mention the king, he's another story. I think you are a lunatic so I'll no longer reply.

I had similar encounter when I was at the Opera in Hanoi. Just trying to take some photos of the Opera House in the foyer and I was told I was not allowed. There is no rule in Vn, it's all motivated by $, $ is in the Viet's psyche.
