Hey Brandon just got a 99 Yukon fuel gauge works but bounces a little probably starting to fail.Temp reads low I believe this is the sensor in the head they break down slowly or the ground where they screw in is corroded.Retired 737 avionics so I should be able to. Troubleshoot it but reading what other people find out helps!
Hey Brandon did you ensure that you had the correct stepper motor air core as they are labeled with "f" for fuel, "S" for speed, "P" for oil pressure ect...
Another possible reason they wont work after model year 1995 Chevy Full Size Trucks switched from OBD1 to OBD2 as mandated by Government for Advanced Tuning and Diagnostics hence better MPG and Streamilnes Smog Inspections for Vehicle Emissions Control. Most OBD1 are 12 volt signal and OBD2 run on 5 volt signal from ECU so possible different voltage in Dash Cluster.
What motor are you using in this video a "C" or an "F"? This video has incorrect information about the yellow vs white. 95-98 uses an "F" Motor. The 99.5+ use a "C" motor for the fuel gauge. The "F motor is correct for a 95 and will ONLY work for the fuel gauge, all other gauges require a different motors and have different resistor strengths. ALL new production motors have white plastic. The yellow ones are old stock. We've repaired thousands of fuel gauges in the 1995-2002 GM trunk and utilities and know those gauges in and out. Sometimes you can have two problems, one masking another.
Thanks for making this video. Do you still have the Tahoe ? I just got a 96 burb and I’m loving it!! However the coolant temp gauge reads nothing and the fuel gauge isn’t crazy bouncy but it does bounce around
Need to get my gauge for 96 Tahoe ls have seen several video but don't show where to get the motors

Mr. Carter no they're not
Yes they are labeled on the peice of plastic that the little screw goes in
Need info on gas gauge you use for my 96 chevy tahoe 5.7l v8

Very possible! I didn't think of that!
Where can i order that guage?
Where can I buy a fuel gauge for my 1997 K1500 , it bounces as the truck moves .. maddening . Thxs
Junkyard would be the best bet
Will it work for 99 sunfire 2.4 and what do I look for on Ebay
99 GMC Sierra. Yellow motors. I have another working cluster for it. Switched servos, the fuel guage is worse than it was now. Wtf.
Thank you! I appreciate your helpful video
Your welcome
Wish they was rebuildable because airco don’t make the motors anymore
Where do you get one though?

Do you have a website for these rebuilt gauge motors

maybe checking the coolant temp sensor on the side of the engine.
Do you know the name of the part @brandon?
Chaz Willock stepper motor
I just did this last night with a full tank of gas. I swoped the moter out and Im hoping it works and its not the fuel sending unit.
hope it helps you
Aaron Burk did it end up working?
Where can I buy one for the 95 tahoe?
junk yard or eBay
How is it installed?
@@dieselbossbrandon yea buy them..$100.00 each..on ebay..go get it rebuild..its cheaper
Rebuild custer..run about 300..doorman makes it
Would same apply for oil pressure gauge? My gas gauge stays shaking and my oils pressure gauge moves up and down
Yes
Thanks man..my gas gauge is starting to go crazy! Is there anything you can do to improve your fuel economy for your 95?
Don Suchynsky free flow exhaust and lid flip and keep your foot out of it and keep it tuned up. Im planing on dropping in a diesel benz in soon
