US’ largest egg-producing state hit by bird flu

About 1.1 million egg-laying hens are being culled to prevent the spread of bird flu at a Wright County egg farm in Iowa, the state Department of Agriculture said Monday. With inflation elevated in the US, it's unclear how supplies and prices of poultry and eggs will be affected.
