Every fighter has different reasons for becoming professional too, Some would say money, others because they don’t want to sell drugs, others would say FAME, others would say they had no other option etc I can honestly keep goin & goin but yeah. Regardless what the reason was for they all have my respect cause like I’ve been saying. There fighting for everyone’s entertainment.
"Just to please you human beings" Tht line just solidifies what we've always suspected of the champ. The fact he was on a whole other level than most. Other worldly even
He was so entertaining and so brilliant. I suspect he was just having a little fun this time, leaving out money and a chance to get out of some hell-hole, maybe even be champ for a while. I'll always remember that prank he pulled in legendary reporter Ed Bradley.
Yeah it takes a certain kind of person to be a boxer. Here Ali is an intellectual man that could do plenty of other employment but he left one thing out, MONEY 💰
I heard sugar Ray Robinson say something similar but he right I was watching a Tyson fight n said his opponents were fools for even stepping in the right along with other fighters because that shit look painful af
What’s crazy is that the people he just described were the promoters of boxing. Joe Frazier was almost put in that situation, but Durham and Futch prevented that. Sadly, Joe Frazier still dealt with High Blood Pressure, Blindness in one eye, and many other major issues. It was so bad, that after the Ali fight, Futch was constantly telling Frazier to retire because his high blood pressure was putting him at very high risk and his other issues were literally killing him. All Frazier knew was boxing and he couldn’t leave that behind, Futch had to endure seeing Frazier deal with all the health issues as they took away from his full potential. If Futch didn’t stop Ali v Frazier 3 and if Ali wasn’t begging his corner to stop the fight (which would guarantee they would both go out there), someone would’ve died that night. Futch was like a father to Frazier and he would constantly ask Frazier to retire because he hated seeing Frazier go through all those issues. Ali, Frazier, Foreman, and the many other legends of the golden era revived boxing and are all known as the GOATs for a damn good reason, but it all came at a price. By the time Ali retired, he couldn’t even produce the same smooth rhymes like could before and Frazier’s eye sight only got worse considering that he was already blind in one eye. They did so much for boxing, but lost so much.
Greatest! Talking! Even Brock Lesner said shaking hands with Muhammad Ali who couldn’t talk much in those days: Brock said it was spiritual! He felt it. To his soul! Very remarkable man was Muhammad Ali! All his opponents loved him. I grew up watching him. He was the greatest! Let the truth be told!❤️🔥
A lot of people fight in the ring so they don’t have to fight outside of the ring. Boxing can change lives. Especially for young men from the hood who would end up fighting or these days getting shot anyway.
True champ ... but I'd rather have two men fighting honorably in a ring than 20,000 men going at each other on a battlefield with machine guns and bayonets ....
Yeah but you got your money and fame and that pleased you. Looks like everyone got what they wanted. Why you acting like you got the short end...like all the others.
I 100% disagree with Ali on this. The fighter should be fighting for no other reason than they want to, and they want to beat the best. Which is why I don't understand after parties. What do you need a party for? Your party was in the moment of winning. That's the time you need to find your peace
To understand what Ali says here you must understand the real you not the manufactured and programmmed soul fragment that was put in the matrix to fight other soul fragments that is also " you"
I agree 100 percent champ!!
But I still LOVE watching you fight!
RIP, Champ.
He is the reason I found my life once again
@@user-vd9gv7fe2c also at higher levels , fighting kind off resonates with mathematics and human psyche
They sacrificed everything & put there mental & physical health on the line. He can think this way if he pleased
Yes but for what? Why they doing all these things !? Just like Ali said its about pleasing us viewers and money ofc comes with them

Yes. I suspect his final years in the ring, for which he paid dearly, was to bring in as much loot as possible for his family.
The Real word for this world ...Truth

Fighting is a good time if your still young and game , but when you get older its a little hard to put it all together some times lol
Truthful and honest opinion

just like sugar ray Robinson said " i've never enjoyed boxing"
R.I.P champs
A lot of people fight in the ring so they don’t have to fight outside of the ring. Boxing can change lives. Especially for young men from the hood who would end up fighting or these days getting shot anyway.

Yeah but you got your money and fame and that pleased you. Looks like everyone got what they wanted. Why you acting like you got the short end...like all the others.
Then don't fight..if no one fights there's no one drinking beer a cheering on hurt
There's more than just him!
I've always been skeptical about Ali, but now, seeing and hearing this, he WAS the greatest for me! He spoke TRUTH!
Money and to be champ
