    He lost two close sets to Alcaraz and says he got his ass whipped 😮 he's very humble!

      It was in 2018, Carlos was 14 y.o. So I guess he really feels that way 🤪

    This is my racquet of choice now! The spin is so easy to produce and have better control on my shots. Also haven't had arm/shoulder issues coming from the Babolat Pure Drive 2018

      demo the 100 and the 98, the differences are worth trying to see if they suit your game. i play the 100 personally but for anyone on the fence i say try both.

    Thanks Grisha for the great review as always. I personally felt that it was a bit too soft and I liked the Pure Aero VS better. Ironically I switched away from the Pure Aero VS because of shoulder pain. 😂

    Pretty sure Alcatraz actually plays with a customized off the shelf aero 98

    Agree with everything said here ... even the part about Alcaraz being 12 years old.

    I bought one and strung at 48lbs…really like it even on my single handed backhand but ultimately chose the Extreme Tour as it’s similar but with better feel…Coming from the Speed Pro, which is easy to use, this racquet is so so easy to use

  • @angelocusipagable

    I use this racquet and have a one-handed backhand. I can tell you it cuts through the air a bit slower. It’s very similar to the Ezone 98.

    Very good Video Grisha,i really like your content, but alcaraz is actually playing with the stockform of the pure aero 98.

    Actually Carlos uses the PA98 and not the PAVS. If you look closely to his racket, you will see that there are no spin grommets(Pavs).

  • @geoduckgame

    For me the best part about this racket is the looks. Never been too much of a fan of the aero, but I must admit they are improving on the looks department.

    Pure Aero 98 is probably the only control frame that really manages to give you some free power & spin.... it's super versatile and with good technique its one of a kind!!

    Hi grisha I play with a blade 100l and it is getting too light for me at 285g unstrung. Im deciding on upgrading to a blade 98 or a head radical mp. Which one should i go for?

      Why don’t you try adding weight to your first to see if you do want a heavier racket

    • @lucamolenhof3747
      @lucamolenhof3747 10 місяців тому

      @@360cabbage hi 360 cabbage, I tried lead with my 100l and it didn’t make a difference, also tried my dads dunlop cx200 witch weighed around 320g with strings. I can handle the weight but the problem I had with the dunlop was how stiff it felt. I heard the radical idea the peoples racket and that the auxetic technology makes it softer.

      Demo the racquets from somewhere like Tennis Warehouse or if you have a local pro-shop

    • @TimelyAdventure
      @TimelyAdventure 10 місяців тому

      I’m playing with the MP 2021 which seems quite similar to auxetic, my topspin is off the charts and when my technique is on point I get nice power on drives and first serves. Would suggest demoing the auxetic or a much cheaper 2021 version it to see if it’s for you

    It seems that your reviews almost always end with more or less the same mid-8 score, regardless of how much you liked the racquet. Perhaps the scoring system needs some refinement to emphasize the more important aspects (sexiness...really)?

    • @kururugi8221
      @kururugi8221 10 місяців тому +3

      Something as subjective as an opinion on a racket can't come down to the scoring. It's just a reference and you should rely on the review itself. Sexiness is not accounted for the final score.
