What’s the difference between OKRs and tactics and initiatives?

  • OKRs are not a project management framework. Objectives and Key Results help an organization or team define how they want the future to look or your ultimate goal.
    Tactics and initiatives, on the other hand, are how you’re going to get there. They’re an ever-evolving pipeline of ideas to try and give you the freedom to operate in the best way for you, the key result owner.
    In this episode of CFRs, Ryan Panchadsaram and Elizabeth Dunne are joined by Peter Kappus, a UK-based organizational OKR coach to talk about goal setting for teams where OKRs might not be the obvious choice.
