Full support conversations for Radiant Dawn is something I can’t even imagine…but that sounds amazing. It would be awesome if Soren and Skrimir had some, considering how their dynamic evolves throughout part 3.
Among other things here I love the idea of keeping the flexibility of RD's support system where you could pair up any pair of units while also re-introducing proper conversations for specific combinations. Really curious how this will handle the pre-tower section of part 4.
Well, the game will just check for combo's on every map, and if it gets a match, it will show it. The game checks for conditions, and if they are met they will activate. So you can put pairings in any team you want
Flexible yes and no. Well it's true that you can support any person you have only can support one person at a time.. I feel that after the two units have an A support.. they're free to start another support conversation with different units. But for the sake of balance purposes the support bonuses would be gone. However they will create a bond resulting in A Bond Bonus if place next to each other in the map
To see new fan-made content as impressive as this being worked on for a game released FIFTEEN years ago just shows how beloved this game truly was, and still is! RD is one of my favorite games of all time, and I look forward to seeing what you do with it!
FE10 always felt like it has SO MUCH potential, but failed to make use of it at times, and was absolutely horribly balanced. I always wished there was some sort of rebalance for it, and even thought of working on it myself in the eventual future. This was an unexpected project to see but OH MAN do i look forward to it. It's clear Sal put a lot of time and effort into this project, and looked at little things like Goran that i never even would've thought of. The presentation was very well made, and concisely explained all the important information, and kept me hooked the entire time. Both project and presentation look very polished. Definitely goes into my Top 3 Projects this FEE3!

Yes, I am, though RD PvP could feasibly work, a lot of time had to go into balancing items, weapons etc for the custom maps. And then script editing came around which meant I wanted to make PvP better though that too. So It's paused while working on Daybreak. It wasn't in a state where I wanted it to be. Crowdcontrol did fully release though!
I remember daydreaming about something like this back in 2012, back when the idea of someone hacking FE10 beyond a surface level seemed ludicrous. Lo and behold. This looks amazing.

Radiant Dawn is my favourite Fire Emblem game and i've played it so many times from Boys Only, Girls Only, Laguz Only, Hard No Growths, Hard Ironman and randomizers etc, so i'm excited and looking forward to this.
@@ViciousSal You literally addressed almost every single thing that I believed needed to be changed about the game! Supports, magic weapons, character availability, etc... Other than making arms scrolls work for laguz allies, you covered everything! :D
Man, this is incredible. I really don't know if I would ever be able to return to my wii-version of the game (that I still love to the core) once I play your version :D I always wanted something like this! (If they ever decide to do a Tellius remake, it will probably feel and look like the newer games- full on anime style. That's what I'm fearing.) But I'm so happy for this project, it get's rid of the "mistakes" from the original and adds more depth, without changing too much. Thank you very much for your work!
Don't lose hope on a Radiant Dawn remake being faithful. But other games need the remake more imho. Anyway, keep enjoying RD, this will take a while to finish haha!
Can there be a Zihart and Iliana pair ending? since I consider them one of the most wholesome relationships in FE and is strange is that they dont have one
@@ViciousSal weird request but I would like to see a chapter were the caravan iliana's group fight with you as green unit or yellow units (since in the grand sceme there important characters minor but important is strange that the only one we see in a chapter is when amy and kurth appear with the dawn brigade) Amy with tomes, the twins with swords or lance and the big guy with an axe

I don't know if it canbe implemented but i got some ideas for some personal skills like: if Zihart is next to a laguz (in the same army) get +2 Str and +10 crit but against laguz -15 crit (unless is dragon laguz since then would be less usefull in the tower compare to the rest of the swordmasters) and for Nolan if his adjacent to 2 units get +3 Def since his character is the main protector of the group
I found part 1 RD needlessly truncated. Will the extra content involve the process of Michaia freeing more prisoners? Stuff like that was just quickly explained away and would have taken at least 2 chapters in PoR. Also will these be optional Gaiden chapters and how then will you unlock them? This is looking phenomenal!

Given the extra chapters and supports being introduced, are there any plans to merge bits of the extended script back into the English script? I know that the English made changes worth keeping, like Micaiah’s sassiness and how the Black Knight survived, but it’d be interesting to see if there’s a way to get the best of both worlds!

The gameplay is made with all units promoted and capped, to ease the gathering of footage. As the gameplay itself is currently still under works. So trailer won't be 1 - 1 with the release when it comes out!

The former was a weird design choice, but I got used to it, specially since later FE games also had it, but the later always felt like a bad choice and more annoying than anything.

Yes, the names in the trailer are for internal tidyness and will lose their names later on. So Paladin Fiona will become "Paladin' as a class. Oscar will have a new class with a different name and different strong points and niches
The only two beefs I have with this are the mastery skills getting toned down to their PoR equivalents and some skills having cooldown effects. To start with the cooldown effect, one of the things I loved about Radiant Dawn was the skill combo effects. Being able to combo Adept, Resolve, and Cancel on Edward for instance was always fun and although sometimes it didn't always work out, it makes it seem like getting these combos was a reward in and of itself. I do like having new added skills for some characters and if the cooldown effects were added for Mastery skills only, then I could see how cooldown fits better. But the cooldown effect from heroes just doesn't sit right with me. Not in Radiant Dawn at least. If they were combat art esque like Echoes, I could understand. Going into Mastery skills, I don't like how they're toned down to their PoR equivalents, considering PoRs mastery skills were absolutely bare bones. Sol on a cav unit that does maybe 20 damage to the enemy is useless, Flare and Luna are only effective against their equivalent defenses, and Stun/Deadeye only puts foes to sleep, by which point you could've just killed them already. Aether and Astra were probably the main threats and they're on Sword users only. This is worse especially if it's locked to the final promotions, since that's a lot of levels and it makes some characters masteries basically useless (ahem Colossus) All this being said, this still looks phenomenal and I definitely want to play the finished product. As much as I don't care for some of the changes, some others like the Branded, new weapons, and chapters really sell it for me, and I'd love to witness the finished product. I wish you good luck and success and happy modding.
Skill combo's will still exist, Feh's special spiral will be a thing, reducing cooldowns on activation etc. Resolve and Wrath and Vantage will have better HP thresholds. So the comboíng of skills isn't gone! Masteries being toned down means enemies can now have them too, and some are actually no longer mastery skills. The Deadeye skill is now just normal damage + sleep, which is a skill with similar availability to adept. Don't worry about masteries for T3 classes, any T3 promotion will feel impactful! And yes, you will need these skills, it's not going to be like PoR, all bulk, no attack enemies. trust in the ideas, and when a patch releases, please do give feedback! that's always helpful! This is really awesome. Fiona having the potential to be a useable unit?!? Nice. I am not a fan of the reinforce skill and was glad it got cut from por to rd, but all other ideas make it seems like a really good expension upon the original.
Since the video went up a lot of developments have been made in the FE10 modding scene and the creator is working over 5 days a week next to this, so a patch isn't out yet. ;)

the ranged swords using mag instead of str... Elincia, and above all the black knight trained Mist, who got a stat bonus in RD just because you wanted to survive that duel, only for she being unable to use it RD with the BS that ranged swords use str instead of mag finally are viable laguzes being able to battle and counter while in human form and balancing so every laguz is worthy instead of only the royals.... CUM, UNLIMITED CUM More maps per chapter so you have more time to train your favored units instead of the utter mess that is the original always making you feel underpowered, if you don't focus everything on some units while speedrunning so you can use BXP to level up the weaker side characters so you don't get screwed later when they force you to use only the characters you didn't train for some random reason Now if only you could make the utter filler that is chapter2 never exist
I'm curious if the mod will undo some of the censorship like Heather's lesbianism being less clear in thr NA script and Kyza being shifted to being more gay best friend then trans?
@@SapphicSara When eventually writing supports, i'll heavily rely on playtesters and re-iterate many of the convo's based on feedback. The representation that Kysha and Heather bring is important and I (personally) feel they could be made better than what the base game gave us, but I would like to also flesh characters out more so that they become dynamic, interesting and more than just their orientation/identity. Less one note so to say. But as said, definitely going to ask for feedback on the supports etc!
@@ViciousSal That is really awesome to hear on every end. I am sure sure happy to see more of the characters in the game in general be less one note, that was a big flaw for a lot of characters. Whenever there is more of that content out there I'll for sure be happy to give feedback on supports and stuff [as well as the whole project, I am wildly excited about this project].

Those will always be active, so yes, WTA/WTD will be in HM and so will enemy ranges. Map affinity as well!

This is really awesome. Fiona having the potential to be a useable unit?!? Nice. I am not a fan of the reinforce skill and was glad it got cut from por to rd, but all other ideas make it seems like a really good expension upon the original.
Luckily reinforce is optional to use. =]

Since the video went up a lot of developments have been made in the FE10 modding scene and the creator is working over 5 days a week next to this, so a patch isn't out yet. ;)

the ranged swords using mag instead of str... Elincia, and above all the black knight trained Mist, who got a stat bonus in RD just because you wanted to survive that duel, only for she being unable to use it RD with the BS that ranged swords use str instead of mag finally are viable
laguzes being able to battle and counter while in human form and balancing so every laguz is worthy instead of only the royals.... CUM, UNLIMITED CUM
More maps per chapter so you have more time to train your favored units instead of the utter mess that is the original always making you feel underpowered, if you don't focus everything on some units while speedrunning so you can use BXP to level up the weaker side characters so you don't get screwed later when they force you to use only the characters you didn't train for some random reason
Now if only you could make the utter filler that is chapter2 never exist

When eventually writing supports, i'll heavily rely on playtesters and re-iterate many of the convo's based on feedback. The representation that Kysha and Heather bring is important and I (personally) feel they could be made better than what the base game gave us, but I would like to also flesh characters out more so that they become dynamic, interesting and more than just their orientation/identity. Less one note so to say. But as said, definitely going to ask for feedback on the supports etc!
@@ViciousSal That is really awesome to hear on every end. I am sure sure happy to see more of the characters in the game in general be less one note, that was a big flaw for a lot of characters. Whenever there is more of that content out there I'll for sure be happy to give feedback on supports and stuff [as well as the whole project, I am wildly excited about this project].
