This is for all of you who keep asking about the builds I use in some of my videos. The idea behind this is that I will have somewhere quick to point people towards when asked.
I’m not a build channel. I don’t watch build videos myself.
And because of this I will never claim that whatever I have built is the best of it’s type, as I’m a strong believer in the fact that there is no person on the internet that can throw some pieces together, run the numbers, and decide what is the best build for your style of play.
Instead, use what you see here as a template, and adjust to what works best for you.

What a breath of fresh air. No 10 minute intro and blathering on about things unrelated to the video title. Just straight up explanation and a little commentary as needed. Love it. And love that you state you're not claiming to be The BeStest BuiLd EVAH! I think you're spot on when you say that people should enjoy whatever build suits their play style and to use your build as a template.
It's just hard for me to give up the striker drone -- it's such a great tool for distraction. Can you explain why you find the tactician drone underappreciated? What specifically is it doing for you in terms of your play style?
I mostly just like it because it highlights all enemies around, like a constant pulse.
This is exactly the correct amount of no frills I was expecting when you said "No frills" in the last one. Good on ya, that was great.

I’ve been running this same build too for a while. Absolutely love that the devs unleashed determined again from its NERF it received.

Perfect video. Short, simple, straightforward. No 'BS' blabbering on for 30 to 60 mins like the majority of 'Creators', stating their build is the best for all content levels, and at the same time asking people to contribute financially to their channels. You state you don't do 'build' videos. You should continue as this is what the community require, especially new players to the game. Keep up the good work.

Im really loving this build, it even holds itself in heroic 4 man groups, I run It with the líquid engineer backpack and reviver so I have all the survibabilty I need
I've tried it and it works! Brilliant! Variant of the template that works for me: Ninja Backpack with 3 HotShot, Chainkiller and Araldi (because of variation in bonuses available on pieces) -- 298% headshot damage with White Death. NInja gives small armor and skill boost which is nice.

Ever since the Division 1 (beta) back in 2016, I always gravitated towards using Sniper Rifles. I was happy to see I'm not the only one out there rocking the marksman rifles.
But then I started laughing when I realized you are using the EXACT same build I use. 😂
While I agree that the "White Death" is easily one of the hardest hitting Snipers in it's class (besides the "Nemesis") I'd like to pass on a little recommendation. I recently started experimenting with the "Brutus" (Model 700) sniper rifle combined with the Decoy skill, it's perk "perfectly behind you" can reach some pretty high damage numbers if used correctly.
Keep up the great Lore, I find the Hunters very interesting.
I love the Mantis decoy combo so much for this, I have 3 different builds for it.

You have to do more builds. This is so simple, effective, and straightforward.

I run that exact build on one of my characters except I use The Gift which, being Providence, provides 15% HSD as the brand set bonus for one piece.
Just to vary things up though, I recently put together a build that Sarge suggested the other day. Two piece Hotshot (gloves and kneepads), Airaldi mask with HSD and Weapon Handling, and Hapsburg Guard kneepads with HSD and, in my case, crit damage though I'd have preferred weapon handling. Chest is the Chainkiller and the backpack is the Ninja Bike Messenger Bag. This essentially gives you 2 pieces Airaldi, 2 pieces HG, 3 pieces of Hotshot, and 2 pieces of Walker Harris. The Airaldi and HG work great together because Airaldi gives you MMR and HSD as the brand set mods while HG gives HSD and MMR. And the MMR has been increased to 20% with project resolve. I also use the big scope for the extra 45% HSD, but I probably sit further away from things than you do.
Either way it's a fun build, and this was a fun sub-4 minute video. Appreciate you taking the time to put this together!

This is almost the exact same build I use, and this is a great video for it. I will add a few points for others that may be interested:
There is a variation that can be done with Ninjabike Backpack/2 Hotshot/Chainkiller chest/1 Habsburg/1 Arialdi for more weapon dmg. I suggest the SR1 if you're going to use this build as it will get rid of the reload issue that you'll encounter since you won't have the reload feature from the full hotshot. You can also use a regen drone with this since you'll be missing the heals also.
For the same build that is showcased, the White Death is the top headshot dmg MMR (+26 vs all others). The M700 (Regular or crafted Replica) is currently the top DMG MMR, and the Tactical/Carbon variants and the SR-1 all have plenty of wpn dmg to offset the headshot dmg loss from the White Death, if you'd rather use a different MMR.

Fun fact : I have the exact same talents, chest piece and backpack with the same REDS. But i replaced Hotshot with Hunters Fury. I still one tap everything but i also gain health and armor with every kill. On the top of that if any Npc ever gets in close striking range the 20% extra damage within 15 meters comes in pretty handy... I just switch to my shotgun and goodbye. 😁
I’ve been using hotshot + nemesis + coyote + headhunter recently and I’m having the time of my life
my sniper build's an antique (aces), was looking into hotshot builds, so this is good for me, as I hate the 'randomness' of the aces gearset. I'll try out swapping to an Ekim's stick, the flat out damage of that one's high.

Thank you for keeping it simple and not saying it’s the the best build, I use the same thing but I use the memento backback instead, after 30 trophies you more damage than vigilance, armor regen and a 3 cores. I sadly use it on most of my builds but it’s just so good 😂 new brutas sniper rifle is nice, or if you try the mantis you can always have your hologram up

I have to give you your flowers for this, by some crazy coincidence i had all 6 pieces in my stash, no farming for months looking for pieces with crazy combos, that never drop, great vid. Make more, because another strange thing occurred when watching others usually their voice makes me want to rip my ears off and stamp on them, not your though, very calming, dont laugh cus im not the only one lol

Instead of Vigilance on back, run Bloodsucker so you get bonus armor stacks, gives you breathing room if you have to move around....

I still remember how I used to one-tap Elites all the time using Nemesis during the World Tier 4-5 era of this game. Sharpshooter with Elite, headshot & crit DMG.
Then the nerfs happened. I dropped the game after that.
I haven’t even acquired the white death yet, neither perfected the build but it’s bloody deadly, thank you for making this man!

This is how build videos should be done. Not 10-15mins, with 4mins of actual build commentary. Great work NGN, hopefully you can start doing some more build reviews to help introduce new players to different options.

Hey NGN, just as an FYI to all the folks (like me) who run sniper builds, with the new changes the Model 700 marksman rifle actually outperforms the White Death, in damage at least.
Some Numbers (Base of Operations Range, No Expertise, Weapon Attributes for both at max and with same attributes, Only Change is the Weapon):
White Death: Initial Hit @ 5,862,877, Max Hit (Headhunter) @ 22,108,664
Model 700: Initial Hit @ 6,512,472, Max Hit (Headhunter) @ 25,604,716
Model 700 has 2 more rounds in the mag, but a slower reload at 4.9 seconds vs. 2.8 seconds. Though this matters little with hotshot reloading your weapon.
Just thought I'd share that.

You say that you don’t do build videos. Maybe you should because this was perfect. Best build video I’ve ever seen. Straight to the point giving us all the necessary information we need.
I use ninja bike bag with 3 piece hotshot, 1 piece habsburg and chainkiller with an SR-1 (with determined of course). Ninja bike will give you a bit of extra armor plus a skill tier and allow you to run 2 brand sets along side hotshot. Habsburg gives 15% headshot and an insane 20% marksman rifle dmg. The SR-1 is the 2nd highest base dmg marksman rifle in the game and has a mag for fast reloads in case you miss and don't proc hotshot. Easily my favorite build in the game and runs through any heroic content like its normal.
That cheat sheet 👌👌 more people need to do this 😂
Same setup I use I just run bloodsucker on back pack for more armor one armor core on the hotshot gloves and the m 700 marksmen rifle cuz I like the way it sounds

This build with a semi auto mk rifle with determined on normal is fun. Bad part is only rusher veterans and elites can be head shot to start off. Run out of redbars or miss a shot u need to be lucky to take the elite out. Cant seem to do more than 29 mil with all hs dmg and starting off on an elite is only 9.8mil (not enough to kill need like 18-20mil to start off killing on heroic) unless its a rusher (except hyena). All helmet wearing enemies can tank any amount of dmg at least 29mil including redbar hyena rushers. Pair with scorpio for crowd control. Reanimated GE Can give insane 100mil + numbers. R700 has higher base dmg but ends up doing the same dmg in video. Reload sucks on it tho
I have this build, the backpack talent you can swap to Bloodsucker for a bit of survivability. That added survivability helps in clutch siuations and keeps you from overkilling enemies essentially wasting damage
Personally, i like to run with the Momento bagpack cause i like the survivability that comes with and everything else
And instead of the White Death, i use the SR-1 since it hits slightly harder (minus the extra headshot damage) and i get similar results regardless

Hello! Been playing for two weeks and loved this video so i followed the build, I got a question, how do you deal with armored enemies? They usually stop my headshot combo because i can't one shot them. And if there are only yellow enemies and can't get one down quick they end up running over me

I use this same build with some some changes to it, being them Model 700 instead of White Dead, and backpack being Providence Defense with Bloodsucker on it, if you prefer you can use the named Providence Defense backpack "The Gift".

Great video @ngn. Short and sweet. I run a similiar build but using the model 700. Great sniper and you can equip a silencer. Tho i still love white death. Quick question whats the green stuff that drops from each enemy that you take down? Is it like when memento drops trophies after you kill an enemy? Many thanks 😊

Try running the build with 6 skill tiers with Decoy and Artificer hive, never get targeted and the Decoy lives forever.

Hey there. Nice build. Im rocking all open world herioc 5 directive content with it.
1 question. Is it correct its not possible to 1-tap elite npc's with the first shot? Like normal elites, no helmets or anything, or the easy shotty rush guys with low health.

also im not often use Markman builds but i do see alot of people using sort of thing even im more a up and in NPC faces sort of person one my builds has 2.2 Million tank build i've alot of people in heroic Missions and so on

I don’t bother with 4 piece hotshot as it offers me no real benefit. I aim for 3 pieces instead.
However as you say there are many ways to go about this and as long as you have head hunter on a chest and determined on an MMR you get very similar results.

just tested headhunter and determined and seems icon for headhunter goes away but still applies the bonus damage
For anyone afraid of losing violence buff, trauma has been a good sub for me too

I didnt know headshots from determined COUNTED as headshots!!
Think they Broke something in the May 14 patch, 2 days prior i was sailing through Summit lvl 90 heroic with 5 directives. i could 1 shot Elites and Named lieutenants, now im luckiy if i can one shot veterans. and thats with a full memento buff, and 248.7% headshot, and i havn't changed any gear since before the patch. it now takes 2 shots to kill a Hyena melee guy, sometimes 4 because a headshot doesn't break there helmet off.
This. I was wondering if I did anything wrong with the build. This build is already very weak when doing hardest contents and you have to be in cover to get the aim cycle to shrink fast. Why do they nerf it?
and now after the last update, without changing any gear from the last nerf im doin 2 million less damage. Hate when Devs fuck up what they assume is over powered because they want to force you to use there new shit gear

i'm using almost this exact build at 890 ish SHD level, though i've gon with the Memento for a laugh. i love the vigilance perk, but i do like me the extra survivability the Memento gives. other than that...yeah white death is awesome...Simo sends his regards XD
What's your take on the Memento instead of the Araldi @NGN ?
For solo play, bloodsucker is better since even without vigilance you are still one shotting the majority of everything, Even up to legendary, someone soloed legendary tidal basin using a similar build.
