Hey man- long time AI fan and finally made it to the live show... Thanks for _clearly_ loving the game as much as we do! Checked out your channel-- definitely gained a fan!
Chris Perkins turning his laptop on, checking in on the show, worrying that the new guy might treat his players too nice. First thing he hears is the audience: 'BLOOD, BLOOD, BLOOD'!!!!
He is probably laughing at how funny it is. Though we miss him, he needs a vacation. I would love to see him play as a D&D character, though like maybe for a new AI group called Acquisitions Guild. The bad a%^# whom can't be taken out, but still have a comedy side.
@@introvertgamer6669 I hope we see him guest as a character soon. It shouldn't be anywhere near as stressful for him, and I imagine the dynamic would be great
I watched this on twitch before the upload but goodness. I'm falling more and more in love with Jeremy Crawford, the characters and how he brings them to life, how he lets the players go on a runaway dialog and then brings them back. I couldn't ask for more A+
Same. I love how Jeremy has such a handle on the rules (I mean, of course he does) that when players throw out the craziest ideas, he knows exactly how to make that work with the RAW. He's also slightly more terrifying than Chris at times, which is fantastic! :D
Goddamn. Every DM dreams of a rapt audience who begins to *literally* bay for blood when a player rolls a 1. That is the shit right there, and Mr. Crawford is just rolling in it.
I love how Xavier's first combat round was some Patrick Rothfuss bullshit. The man pulls it off quite well and with some natural awesomeness and humour...
A very enjoyable episode. Love this cast and crew! Well done! Side note/thought... You know what's funny... when the crowd began the "Blood, Blood, Blood" chant, I couldn't help but wonder how many 1980s parents would have flipped out if they saw this. What a great day and age of D&D we live in today!
Very cool = Bobby Zimeruski, aka Xavier Woods, aka Austin Watson - He graduated with a master's degree in psychology and a bachelor's degree in philosophy. Watson has a PhD in educational psychology from Capella University.
I hope some day Chris will get to play again on the Acquisitions Inc live stage. He may have passed the DMs chair on the jerremy now he could join as a guest player. Maybe once or twice or as a PC bad guy....... Would be cool
he should come back as famous characters, with original author's permission ofc. Drizzt, Minsc, Elminster, Cadderly, Druenor, Danica, Pikel, Artemis Entreri, etc.
The fact that the opening didn’t have Evelyn and Jim when Jim said, “I’m a powerful wizard!” And Evelyn goes, “Yes you are!” Like a mom upsets me 😂 but good job anyway
I have to admit, I was a little worried about Chris Perkins not being the DM anymore, as I DM more like him than any other DM personality on UA-cam and enjoy his style immensely. I Really like Jeremy Crawford. I also really like (not surprisingly) that he acknowledged what the transition meant and how it means so much to him. Can't wait to see more Acq Inc. with JC at the helm.
Blah Blahblah I feel like she’s a really under appreciated member of the team. She’s definitely gotten much more comfortable playing the game, and she has some really great moments in the games. I’m glad she’s still doing this on a semi-regular basis!
She's a main character on RollPlay's show Oddballs, GMd by Jesse Cox. If you haven't seen it! It's 100% worth checking out (just stick through the first few episodes as Cox finds his feet)
@@mattsiddall6424 Sweet! I did not know that! So glad to hear she plays more. I've seen some mean comments and I don't get it. I've loved her for like 10 years. Just funny and professional and pretty. (Yes, I'm laying it on thick, just in case she sees this. lol she deserves nice comments too.)
38:33, 39:07 and 39:45 Finally, someone who plays D&D properly. As long as the numbers match up, you can do the coolest things. "You want your blood? You'll have your blood!" I imagine his character says this to the circus crowd and grins from the irony as the blood the crowd wanted so bad is now coming from one of the clowns instead of innocent people. 1:02:10 and then he does it again. Acquisitions Incorporated is the best way to advertise Dungeons & Dragons. I can't get enough of these live shows, the players, the DMS, the humour, the creativity, everything that makes a session super fun is here
Oh wow Crawford is great. I have trouble with narrative combat. It comes effortlessly to him. I am making notes about how to be better at this. Great game especially the combat.
The little ambient damaging check Jer throws are fucking amazing. It's a great way to weaken the party without throwing encounters (time wasting) at the party. I'm for sure incorporating that into my games.
Wow this is a polarized comment section lol. I’m possibly the biggest Perkins fanboy, but I love Jeremy’s style. If the Almighty Perkins decrees a successor, I have faith in his endorsement. Also, Chris is a busy guy, keeping the multiverse running is taxing, so let him take a break if he needs it. I’m sad to see Pat bail on this one... hopefully he’s putting that time to good use finally finishing a particular book that’s kinda late coming out featuring a particular Kvothe... yeah right lol he’s gonna pull a Robert Jordan on that one. Xavier Woods is a good fit for this group. He’s funny and good with the rp. Once he gets the hang of the rules, I’m sure he’ll be a fan favorite. It is unfortunate that Anna didn’t show up as well, but that’s one of the challenges every d&d group faces with coordinating schedules... however it is always good to see Morgan. Of course I’m biased because I been crushing on her since I was a teenager watching X-play... she really must take good care of herself because she be lookin just like she did fifteen years ago. Anyway.... Jeremy made a good in-game way to switch out guest players and I applaud that creativity. I understand the mixed reception this show got, but I like the direction it’s going. I’m not too familiar with the Ravnica setting, but Jeremy’s doing a great job bringing it to life while keeping grounded in the mechanics of the game. Cheers!
On reflection - I think (given that Ravnica is basically a giant world-spanning city with only a small number of scattered parks) Bobby has a point about the cheese being hard to find. Based on the worldbuilding in the shows there's a distinct lack of dairy farms. (Or any other kinds of farms ... which raises other questions)
Xavier added a lot to this group. I was skeptical at first since he's a wrestler and is new to D&D, but he has a great attitude and is a real showman. This is the first time in quite a few games that the crowd has been alive!!! NEW. DAY ROCKS!
