Peter Pierson NYC was great. We feel confident with our anchoring set up now that we survived a week in the wake and current infested waters of the Hudson! Thank you so much for taking the time to meet us in Waterford. :)
The video quality was really good(4K). The tour of the Locks and barge was very interesting. You guys are getting pretty good at this video thing. GOD bless. JC
Your video skills so far exceed mine. I would never presume to critique any of your tech issues. Wonderful work, relaxing to watch. Especially the fur crew.
What cameras and equipment did you use with this youtube and what are you currently using? Great work and thanks. We will be doing the canal this summer in the same direction, but on a much smaller trailer sailer! Hunter 240...but we are bringing our bikes.
Who makes the water alarms you installed? It can be helpful to give such information in the comments if you mention something in the video. I’m enjoying following your journey. Especially liked the lock tour in this episode. Sort of like a “Distant Shores” video. You both look like you have really positive attitudes, Fair winds.
I am closing on my 105 M on the third of next month and moving aboard her on the 5th. So nice to have someone online with the same vessel as me, almost identical, mine is a 1999 model but I don't see any differences between the two. I am curious what battery bank you went with because I will need to replace all the batteries on soon to be named Solace?
hcriley Congratulations, that's so exciting!! :) We went with 2 x Ampower 6v 415 ah deep cycle AGMs. We initially wanted to go with lithium but the price difference couldn't be ignored. We've also found the boat galley website to be invaluable in terms of information for a Gemini refit - I believe they have a 1999 105M :) Thanks for watching and don't hesitate to contact us if you have anymore questions or comments. Happy sailing!
technically it is the Barge Canal. NYS decided to call it the Erie Canal to make historical tourist trap money from doing that. The Erie Canal was abandoned in 1918
Is it too much to ask for? Can you put music in parts while there is a extended period of no conversation? Love all the seagulls, makes me think of Hitchcock's " Birds ". The cats are super cute. Thanks for posting!!!!
Wonderful to watch this video and follow your progress. We loved meeting you in Waterford! Safe travels friends! Mary
MD Pierson Thank you, Mary!! :) We loved meeting you in Waterford!
Well...it is fun to see the voyage "unfolded" from past to present. I hope NYC is working out. Cheers from us both. Peter

There's a street in Little Falls named after my friend's mother-in-law : "Dead End" ...

Um you are actually on the 1911 Barge Canal done by Teddy Roosevelt!
Google Earth shows a Gemini coming into Little Falls NY on Date 10/2 2017. Any chance that's you guys?
lol, that is us! We can just make out our fold up bikes on the deck :D Thanks for pointing that out

Nancy Lam Not too much to ask for at all! Thanks for the suggestion.
It’s funny how some viewers ask for more music and others ask for less. We used to play a lot on our channel, then requests were made for less. Lol.
So true! Everyone requests something different. I guess everyone has to develop their own style! 🙏😜🐈⛵
