- We have been waiting to leave on our three week cruise longer than we wanted... Should we go as far as we can on the first day? It's 26 hours across the lake and we've NEVER done that before...

Haha. After 3 years we are at the absolute beginning of our journey. That’s life innit. ❤
Welcome to the start of the start of the start of a big adventure my love 😘
Thank you for sharing your videos. It was nice to see you guys sailing through the night. Great job. Cheers 🍻
Our pleasure! And thanks again for watching. Nice to be able to make some sailing content and not just boat work content for once. Cheers!
Just a couple of suggestions, put a solid u bolt on the cockpit floor for those clip on life lines. When you fill the tank next time dip it beforehand and take a mark/ reading then dip it when full and you'll at least know what you've used when you get down to the mark. If you know the tank capacity even better. Cheers
Hey, thanks for the suggestions! We definitely will be creating a better system for the safety harnesses... It was sort of a last minute addition before we left. As for the fuel "gauge" lol that is a good idea too. Cheers!
What a milestone! Nice job. What's wrong with the auto-pilot? Too bad that's not working, would've been come in handy on the long voyage. Also William is a real trooper!
Auto pilot episode is coming up! We get more in depth into why it wasn't working and Chris works on fixing it. And yes, William is truly amazing for being so patient and easy-going with it all. Cheers! Thanks for watching!
Thanks for sharing and Well done guys. fair winds.
Thanks! And thank you for watching! Fair winds to you too!
Great job, thank you for the video...
Cheers!
Hey Turtles great episode!
Thanks very much! Cheers!!
Great job guys… it looks like you were having fun… why can the boat only go 5.8 knots… would it be possible to modify to go faster?
Bayfield's are notoriously slow. It's definitely a blue-water cruiser and not a racer (hence "Mr. Turtle") I don't think there's much modifying more than just perfecting the sail trim in the conditions we find ourselves. I think the fastest we've ever seen on Mr. Turtle is 7 knots surfacing the waves. Thanks so much for watching!
I wonder if you've ever had your valve lash checked on your deisel.motor
We haven't in our time of owning it for sure. We need to do a full tune up and check before we head south... So we will for sure look into that. That may cause the noise you think?
Cheezy youdles ain't any good without kessup an parsam cheeze an some choclat milk. Smarten up mommy. Lmao Can you tell my kids were spoiled by my wife.
That sounds pretty decadent 😆 I wouldn't say no to that. My son would though. Lol he likes it straight up.
